Grenades going from "something to keep new player interested for 10 minutes till he ranks up" to Drones 2.0 is so annoying. We already have enough stuff "to get an advantage in battle" and we don't need more complicated gameplay mechanics that everyone will just use as free and easy extra damage. Even if the healing grenade gives score i can guarantee you that nobody will use it.

Not to talk about mults who'll use the smoke grenade on their team because they decided that a random camper in their team is bad. Yeah sure it's not good but do we really need that? Also mults just throwing "barrier" grenades in your base everywhere.

I can't wait for me to get an anger-induced heart attack when a "bot" in my team shoots a wall granade randomly and blocks me from doing a key action.

There's a simple way to fix this: grenades from your teammates shouldn't affect your tank, for example, the smoke grenade should be transparent to your teammates but not to enemies, meaning you can see through it but enemies can't. The obstacle grenade should only block enemy tanks. teammates can freely drive through them, etc.

I sure hope they will disable "friendly fire", but the way Hazel talked about the smoke granades affecting teammates got me worried.

Yeah, if they enable friendly fire with grenades, that's gonna be infuriatingly annoying, i can already feel the frustration

Except, tanki is infamous for not doing smart things.

For instance, it has been a few years since someone suggested making friendly OD a different color so that we don't have to get scared of friendly Wasp Nuke or Ares's orb. It is clearly influenced by Overwatch at that time, which was very popular. Today, Overwatch is already dead, and this obvious feature that is "supposed to exist" still doesn't exist.

Wait until they make a grenade that disables friendly fire and sell it for 99.99 USD.

I can already imagine each of the status effects will be added as either a dedicated grenade, at the minimum.

I don't think that copying ideas is a bad thing. (It doesn't mean that I agree with the smoke grenade.)

Just a quick edit to show hazel my actual questions I have posted over the last couple of months.

 

   

As you can see, my repeated question/s on various dates got ignored, but he can answer a fabricated one (that I would never ask in a quadzillion years) about a complete load of tripe that no one in the entire TO universe gives a toss about.

I like the idea of many different grenades. They will change the battle, which is cool. This game has too few stuff to do anyways, just drive and shoot most of the time. This introduces new styles of playing.

Borrowing, referencing, inspired by, or whatever you can think of is one thing.

Literally, copying and pasting the design, not even bothering to change the functionality, model, color, and VFX, is a whole different level.
