----> Today's Discussion is why people think it's an unbalanced game...! !<----(p.s. runners vs campers).

"This Thread is from an old player V1K who have been playing Tanki Online since a decade, and today first time he gonna create a Post about what do you think about game now in 2024. Since it's been almost 14 years for Tanki Online creating history in the game of tanks, but now-a-days loads of complain cussing is about being a camper or a runner"

 

In this vote section you can submit your vote according to your wish and your preference that who actually making the battles unbalanced.

1. Campers.

2.Runners (who leaves the battle)

3. Unbalanced MM system (matchmaking is like that)

4. No comments or can't say doesn't feel like or just wanna chill.

To many crap campers... You can put me at "Runner".

I see that my team is crap, I "run". I join a battle where my team is zero, enemy team has 3 flags, 3 balls, 3 points, I "run". Battle is 0-0, enemy gets our flag, what is my crap team doing ? Camping... Hello, enemy got our flag; change to attack mode and get the flag. But no, they change in crap camping mode with Titan Shaft and Mines. I just "run".

I understand your sole purpose to play this game is to win the battle by trying hard. But if you run from the battle there will be unbalanced team, usually if someone leaves the battle MM system makes someone else join.

Everyone is playing according to their own will we can't ask or make everyone attack into the battle, but yeah you can try playing with your friends in a group where you can still make a difference and probably win the battle too

The question is simple: what makes the game unbalanced.
1) Matchmaking that's unbalances, high rank players with less GS, low rank players with too high GS.
2) People who abuse certain augments/ runners

To those who voted for Campers, well  camping is purely a playing style. It doesn't balance anything out. It might have a bad effect on result of map, but doesn't do anything else.
Those who hate campers are solely those who run open in map and get sniped/ railed from far. There is nothing to be mad about a playing style.
Obviously campers are annoying, but then I can say the same thing about attackers who use trickster drone/ ultra freeze augments/ blaster augments.

So the only thing that brings an issue is GS and bad teammates with low skill

You got a valid point, it's nothing to do with game mechanics campers or attackers neither to blame devs about unbalanced match making, but according to the GS score it's kinda unfair for low ranks battles example (marshall--legends) and they struggle a lot while facing Legends, so yeah it's playing style and mostly they are little ones playing this game I never had skills or knowledge when I use to be a teen, still we play for fun right.

The game is not unbalanced because of campers.

The game is unbalanced because of certain mechanics being OP and the devs craven for players cash by any and all means possible.

Augments, overdrives, floating monkeys, P2W, useless MM (has never worked) constant nerf/buff, pathetic cry return Vs XP, these are just a few that have destroyed the game.

TO will only get worse from your average players perspective.

The game is rigged to be unfair, just how hazel likes it.

Anyone who disagrees with this is either an alien or believes in the tooth fairy.

There are certain OP augments example (striker--keeps shooting so many rounds) which we can get from several events, and for that we require tanki coins, We just need to face it with lot courage and I guess I do not disagree  because yeah if we pay we might get an advantage, that is game's business let's not get too harsh on them for making money

 yeah there is unbalanced match making  remember the time when we use to select maps of our choice and use to play whole day.

I'd say none of the above, the powers that be have been messing around with the game balance for a long time now fixing the things that aren't broke and ignoring the things that are. I'm sure there's a clinical definition for that kind of behaviour but I am not bothered to look it up.

How do you balance anything when rank is meaningless and as for the gear, why would a heavy hull be getting 1 shot killed? It undermines the whole point of having a selection of hulls. They can't balance the game because they have made a mess of it. 

Honestly I think their idea of balanced is you win 2 games and you lose 2 games.

None of the above means "can't comment" yeah there's a clinical term i hope so for such behavior, but game is not completely a mess we can take gear score with unmatched ranks as a challenge to play this game, when something is not tough there's no fun doing it i guess, it's correct game got bit damaged but let's see what's next. I think camping has evolved--to some extent--because the MM puts tanks of a low gear score up against tanks of a much, much higher gear score.

Why would someone in that predicament do anything else BUT camp?

There are few reasons left to choose a short range turret.

The distribution--by far--these days is long range turrets get better results than short range.

I totally agree, if I go into the open I get shot by all 5 -6 status effect from different turrets and direction. I would die so much faster.
SO rather just stay on base of do a sort of partial camping techniques.

I noticed some months ago that every Desert TDM, CTF, RGB and SGE battle I was in was a campfest from start to finish. Desert was a map I often saw lots of variety on. Now it's just long range spam.

Very, very few players actually participate in the missions anymore.

And to be honest there really isn't any benefit.

I can die 5 times trying to take the flag from point A to point B unsuccessfully,

or I can sit and camp and destroy an enemy tank on the other side 5 times trying to do the same thing.

Add to that the MatchFaking GS fiasco and it's no wonder camping evolved as a viable strategy (albeit a boring one)

Too much OP crap running around these days, Strikers that empty what feels like 10k damage through protection module and Armadillo with 1 second lock, crap that is awarded for actually missing your tank and exploding 20 meters away from you, crap that deals more damage from a camper in base because it is far away from you, strifing crap with Lifeguard and Defender that you can do 15k damage and it still does not die for some reason, you leave base and die because someone exploded within your vicinity. You know just the usual stuff.

Also these days there is no focus on actually doing battle objectives whatsover. Yeah sure, you can catch three flags and basically win us the battle, but what is the point when I can sit in my base, snipe every single enemy in map with Striker Tandem and still somehow get 300 more points than you. No point for me to not camp and focus on battle objectives.

Good example was the Opposition map battle I participated some time ago in the special old school mode. My team was full Teslas, we pretty much spawn killed 90% players for the whole match, and the other team just managed to sometimes slip down in the underground and go for flags. We ignored defending the flag. There was no point in it as we were getting hundreds of points per minute by sitting on the top and dominating them. The other team somehow managed to actually capture 7 flags through the pain of being spawn killed every two seconds. We actually lost that battle 7-0, but still it was such a Pyrhhic victory for them as we outscored them so much we actually got more crystals then them in the end.

Greetings to @Jeers4U @krokorok @TheCongoSpider @Kerala @FLIPSTIKS @PirateSpider  Great to see you guys are a die hard fan of tanki online, interesting to read your comments and discussions in this topic, Thank you all for sharing your wonderful feedback regarding this game. 1 thing can't be denied to whatever it is unbalanced, campers or runners but you guys have given your brain + your heart to this game. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them anymore. Probably ex-contributing member to the forum. Just waiting for the next tanki fund to pop up so that I can use up my remaining tankoins. And then probably just call it a day.

Thanks everyone for their feedback, much appreciated. 

Mostly the majority of the votes are for "Unbalanced MM system" My Vote is for Runners (making it unbalanced)

Lastly, I will leave this concern for the developers to look into this matter (which i do not find any fault in it), they have just removed the freedom of maps but made Match Making system (actually starts fair and a balanced match)

*It's great to see interview with Taspen and how the developers said more rewards for the players who actively plays the whole battle* hence this will gonna remove unbalanced maps/battles.
