Patch Update #779  - Released 25th October 2024

List of changes:

• A new in-game currency, Rubies, has been added to the game.

  • (Note) All Tankoins on players' accounts are saved. Tankoins may be exchanged for Rubies in a 1:1 ratio through a special menu with confirmation. You can find out about the reasons for introducing a new currency in our V-LOGs or in a separate announcement that has already been published on all our information platforms.

• Tankoins are hidden from the main interface and will now only appear in the Shop.

• The Daily Tankoins Pass has been replaced with Daily Ruby Pass.

  • When you purchase this Pass, you instantly receive Tankoins, and then Rubies will be awarded for the pre-completed daily mission. The first time you buy a Daily Tankoins Pass it will remain unchanged (it will award Tankoins initially and also for the daily pre-completed missions).

• Premium Pass and some limited special offers are now sold for Tankoins.

• Special offers for events, Battle and Elite Passes, Keys, Crystals, early access offers, Clan Licenses, nickname changes, Stars, Gold Boxes and event currencies (energy) are now sold for Rubies.

• Weapon upgrades when lacking crystals and the purchase of modifications will now be in Rubies instead of Tankoins.

  • (Note) Upgrade prices have not changed

• The reward in Tankoins is replaced with Rubies in all missions, Containers, future challenges and promo codes.

  • (Note) In the current challenge, the final prize will remain Tankoins.

• Paints sold for Tankoins are now sold for Rubies

  • (Note) Except for the «Tankoin Tank» paint, which will continue to be sold for Tankoins.

• Added a new variant of the Megagold — Ruby Megagold, which will give you 10 Rubies.

  • (Note) The default Crystal Megagold is not removed and will also drop in battles.

• Unlocking additional protection module slots is now done for Crystals instead of Tankoins

  • (Note) Unlocks will cost 5,000, 50,000, and 500,000 Crystals respectively.

• A new type of Grenade has been added — Pumpkin.

  • (Note) This Grenade can only be obtained in the Autumn Mini-game. The Grenade differs from the standard one with modified characteristics and the ability to set enemy tanks on fire.

•  «Brutus» drone

  • The minimum rank to purchase it has been changed from 8 to 15

  • This drone can no longer be received from Containers 

• Added a VFX effect when activating the «Speed boost» supply for Crisis and Oracle drones.

List of fixes:

• Fixed a bug that caused the rocket trail effect of the Scorpion to change its color.

• In the sniper mode of Shaft, the «Boosted damage» supply’s effect is no longer displayed if Crisis or Oracle drone is equipped.

That also seems very... generous? Doesn't it mean that everyone will be getting premium Shop currency even if they originally got it using non-paid methods?

Everyone will be getting Rubies  from daily/weekly mission = 3.

We will not be able to earn tankicoins now onwards, only upgrade can be done with Rubies  now,

For buyers -  Daily pass is changed to Ruby pass i.e 500 TKS and 150 Rubies daily. (where they gonna use tankicoins then) I assume they can exchange it with Ruby.

My Question is there's no point of tanki-coins now what's the need of 2 currency  in a game my lord...why makin confusing

Rubies - FAQ

The developers of the project need it to improve game analytics. Rubies will allow them to track better which currency you earned in the game and which you have bought.

Rubies - Tanki Online - Free MMO game

Tankoins can only be purchased with real money; there will be no other way to get them. And you can spend them on buying Rubies at the rate of 1:1.

Thus, Tankoins will become a kind of “buffer” between real money and Rubies, for which items in the game are available.

Still so many bug fixes needed. The freeze bug still exists where freeze effect slows down tank and rotation of turret despite being cured by Repair kit, Gauss aim is extremely skewed, randomly changing targets while aiming, and failing to deliver damage or status ailments on enemies without immunities. The equipment change is still failing to be registered coming from garage, and you need to be destroyed again for changes to be registered at all. Recently, I encountered a bug where despite changing protections and being destroyed multiple times, my protections did not change at all. Also the autosupply is bugged, from what I see on hyperion it gives randomly activates Repair kit at respawn, with autosupply option turned off.
