Oh yeah!!! This update definitely "encourages players into a more active playstyle rather than camping". Like what could possibly go wrong when the highest-scoring player in a game mode that is supposed to be about capping points are the campers themselves?

For the record, this game is full of bots and CTA, i.e. the 1st place on the opposing team, is dedicated to healing people/bots.

Why are you shoe-horning Ricochet's range to be the same as Twins? It's a different turret with a different mechanic, now it doesn't have the range it NEEDS to perform a bounce. Now Vulcan, Smoky, Scorpion, Hammer, Tesla all have augments to bounce, or can bounce by default. Ricochet's been overshadowed, and now completely put in the dirt where Twins was for years. You could AT LEAST have it keep its maximum damage after a bounce.

Assault Magazine is still awful and there's no reason to use it over melee, Wolfpack is still gutted, Dictator and Mammoth ODs are still awful, Gauss STILL has the reacquisition bug, has had it for years btw, Scorpion's rockets are still trash at tracking unless a player uses your whale augments, and so on.

 

 

I even had this idea, that Ricochet could have a visual or audio indicator when the player points it in a direction that would cause its bounce to ricochet into an enemy. Or straight up little crosshair on the walls, tracking possible bounces. But Minus-Field Stabilization would need crazy calculations.

You could at the very least keep its max damage after a bounce. You could make a successful bounce hit to refund energy, SOMETHING that would keep its identity viable. Now people just spam Vacuum Striker, which NEEDS A PROPER NERF.

Pretty high investment price certainly. I guess they tried to gauge how many players/accounts were people willing to spend a bit more than usual for a reactively 'free' set of rewards. I myself was not willing to go out of the way and do this on multiple accounts, the paint itself I wish had a bit more effort and detail in though for being a 'currency' paint...

Certainly not a bad offer as it is intended for the higher end of the spenderbase. There's a chance we see another like this around the tanki bday.

For a fact this is superior for a spender than the tankifund atleast which 10 boosters can barely make it worthwhile.

This is such fraud. Let us at least enjoy the augment first before nerfing it. You tanki guys really just made your money then decreased the value for us before we even got it. Utterly disrespectful. Gonna have to boycott buying anything from you guys if you keep doing fraudulent stuff like this. It is one thing to deliver what you promised then change it later, but it is completely unacceptable to take a good amount of money from the customers then change the product before it is delivered.

You allow hacking in parkour, where most of your income came from, and now you destroy long range weapons like that? 

It's just like you WANT the game to die.

If you want us to play only short range, you could also just remove every long-range turret in the game, that would kill all the fun that the game still had.

I really do hope you change your mind about some of the changes you did in the past and think more about player satisfaction again....

I know - absolutely ridiculous changes. They made people spend so much money then they simply change the product before they even deliver it! Such dishonesty! At least let people enjoy what they payed for then if there is an issue, nerf it afterwards. 

And the amount of these balance changes that they are doing do not even make sense. What kind of noobs are they taking advice from that they think the situation with camping is that bad? I regularly dominate with all kinds of turrets, which is because I know how to play from experience.

There are people who will pour thousands into this game just for a skin. Or some will play it nonstop just for a piece of equipment that no one even knows what it does.

All I can say is humans are a truly diverse species.

It isn't really about between Ricoshet and Twins, but about Short Range Turrets (Hammer, Twins, Ricoshet). They all are getting a negative change in terms of range. Meanwhile, Melee Range Turrets (Freeze, Firebird, Tesla, Isida) are getting their range increased. It was probably done since players complained about melee turrets having certain disadvantages in some Matchmaking conditions (eg Maps, high-range turrets camping, etc). If so, that would make sense. Also, I tried playing with Ricoshet (Berserk augment, which doesn't affect the changed, in this patch, aspects of the turret), and the plasmas were disappearing before reaching their Final Projectile speed, so I dont really see a change here.

And about Scorpion, the augments for the turret are getting worse with the recent changes. For example, the Swarm augment was changed, increasing rocket speed. It might seem like an advantage, but actually, since the rockets are faster, they fly through the tank that you could potentially kill with old, slower rockets. Basically, with the faster rockets, the range was also increased for this augment, which was meant for low-range gameplay; now it is mid-range at least. Now that it is clearly unplayable with these changes, I would like if they reverted the Swarm augment to the old slower rockets and the old slower reload, and if they wanted a mid-range Scorpion, they could make an another augment, isn't it a good idea? And since you are talking about rockets tracking, they improved it for the Spear augment, but now the rockets can reach anyone, even in low range they will do a barnstorm to reach the target, which might seem unrealistic. Just the reload is from standard settings for the turret now, which is slower for the Spear augment. And Explosive Shells augment has less projectile for some reason, maybe because its for crystals unlike the similar container augment for Smoky???

Playing against this augment post-nerf makes me think of what could pre-nerf of it do. I do think this augment pre-nerf is the most broken augment to date.
