Phoenix Augment Pros/Cons

When players unlock the Phoenix Augments for the respective Turret/Hull, they post the effects of what they do on YouTube, etc. Tanki should update the Phoenix Augment Description, Pros, and Cons on the Wiki after players unlock them. It shouldn't stay hidden forever. So new players can get interested in Phoenix and play even more to obtain them!

Overall instruction from management is to not include any stats for Phoenix augments. They want to keep them secret and mysterious, kind of like how the Synesthesia paint and Exotic container tier wasn't officially announced at first.

It's not a type of item that's meant to encourage new players.

my reason is that phoenix augments are flat out too TRASH to be worth 800+ hours of grind. if the info was so easily accessible any player with common sense would look at the stats and have a big laugh and never come look at phoenix again.

 

as for your mysterious reason i know its going to be something like money and phoenix is not a P2P update/content in any way shape or form the only argument you can make is that OP augment takes away 50 hours from the absurd grind which might aswell be nothing.

I still want the Phoenix Augment for Thunder that unlocked recently. Great stats as a Thunder player!

10% more damage, -20% reload, projectile speed +100%, min/max damage range increased 100%. No Cons listed currently!

But they mention parameter changes for (already obtained) Phoenix augments whenever it happens. Whatever other changes occur to it would be indirect from changes to the Stock turret.

I'm not understanding you here. Are you saying that because the stats of the augments aren't disclosed before someone gets it and shows it to others, they're siphoning money from those that are rushing to get it? But the people with the time and equipment needed to even rush to get it are already heavy buyers. What is the injustice here?

And your logic is doing a hell of a lot of leaping if you look at hidden Phoenix augment stats and think that it's an intentional monetisation tool.

I mean, if the goal of the project is to survive as long as possible, and its overall purpose is to provide the devs with income to feed themselves and their families, then sure — everything they do is "for money", including adding forum avatars, making free HD skins and remastering maps. But in that case this "REAL reason" becomes a moot point not worthy of discussion*.

I replied with one sentence--and one sentence only.

It was all YOU guys that kept the 'moot point not worthy of discussion' alive.

I still don't understand what you're getting at with Phoenix and money. You keep saying it's solely for money but aren't explaining how or why.
