  1. Higher ranks definitely do follow some battle etiquette, especially in team battles. It's nice to see when your teammate does things like looking around before taking a repair kit, seeing me with lower health and letting me have it instead. Or letting me take a double damage when he sees that I already have DA and nitro activated. Unfortunately still not even half of all high rank players are like that.

    Gold Box drop locations

Lucky you. When I was a lieutenant I only got around 5 gold boxes because all of them used to get stolen by buyer mammoths, who only entered battles to get golds.

    Gold Box Theory!

That's almost 3 deaths per second. A bit much, don't you think? Anyway, a typical top-rank 1 hour DM match with 20 players will result in around 15000 crystals of fund, so that's about an 80% chance of a Gold dropping.
  4. Relatively soon. At least on a timeline of developing the game from scratch this one can hopefully be considered to be in its later stages of development. I'm not denying the fact that current players are leaving. They always had and they still are. The only difference is that there is no longer a constant flow of new players being attracted into the game to counteract the flow of old players leaving. The only difference between the typical rate of people leaving to the current rate is that there might be a slight increase in player loss due to bad updates, but neither of us know how much effect that really had on the game, so there is no point arguing about it. In Game Discussion section the titles need to be straightforward and informative, so that players know what to expect when they come to see the topic. For more creative titles you can go to the Off-topic Discussion section. Please see section 2.4.11 of rules for more details. That's still the plan. It all depends on the players. If enough players (probably at least a quarter of the current amount) continue playing this version and buying crystals here, then of course Flash TO will continue to operate. Although I would be very surprised if there will really be enough dedicated players for this version.
  5. So true. Bought Twins M3 at the 40% sale and tried it out - only effective against heavies or against light hulls no more than an arm's length away. I didn't even want it all that much and I could wait until Christmas 50% (hopefully), especially with the recent update reducing cost of all turrets and hulls. Much regret...

    Gold Box Theory!

Needs more details. In what situation? Ranks, time limit, amount of deaths per minute, number of players...

    Gold Box Theory!

Firstly you need to keep in mind that the chance of a gold box dropping was reduced from 1/7000 to 1/10000 after crystal boxes were removed from the game (last year). This resulted in an insignificant increase of gold box drop rate, so the developers decided to not make the change official until a few weeks ago. Second, you seem to have gotten confused with the probability. 1/10000 (or 1/7000) means that for every crystal added to the battle fund there is a 1/10000 chance (which is equivalent to 0.01%) of a gold box dropping. So if I kill a player and the fund increases by 9 crystals, it means that the chance of a gold box dropping in that moment is (1/10000*9=) 9/10000 or 0.09%. Third, your theory. Yes, you are correct that there is a higher chance of a gold box dropping when you kill 10 players + capture a flag compared to killing just one player. However, it all depends on the rate at which the fund is increasing. Let's say you kill 10 players and capture a flag at once, thus adding 150 crystals do the fund. Then you set it all up again in 3 minutes and repeat the process, adding another 150 crystals. The fund growth rate will be 150 per 3 minutes, or 50 cry/min. Then let's compare that to a normal battle on Dusseldorf DM, where there is a player being killed every 5 seconds. That means 12 players killed every minute and 12*9 = 108 crystals added to the fund per minute (108 cry/min). 108 is more than double of 50, so in a normal DM like that there will be more gold boxes dropping, despite the fact that they are only adding 9 crystals to the fund per minute and not 150, like in your setup. This is why Wasp+Firebird battles are so popular - Wasp dies quickly resulting in many deaths every minute and a really high fund growth rate. Fourth - you need to keep in mind that your suggestion is a lot like power leveling. Purposefully setting up deaths like that over and over just to get a gold box quickly is against the rules, so if I were you, I would avoid "testing" your theory for prolonged periods of time, otherwise you may get punished.
  8. Final upgrade? So, the thing that I will leave until the very end and upgrade last?
  9. At the moment you can't. You need at least Railgun M2. If you are using Hornet M2 you must also have a 20% railgun protection paint.

    Score multiplier pass

No, the score multiplier pass only affects your score. This is why you have to make sure you are using it sparingly, because if you get more experience but the same crystal rewards, it means you will get to a high rank quickly while only having enough crystals to buy low rank equipment. In the future if you want to ask a question about the game, please refrain from creating new topics and use the official http://help.tankionline.com Q&A site. Closed.
  11. Title changed This is because Tanki Online is no longer trying to get new players to join the game. They are waiting for Unity to be released and that's when they will start advertising and other marketing up again, to attract new players. At the moment there is no point getting new players used to this Tanki, when the new version will be released soon.
  12. Impact power is the force your shot exerts on other tanks. In other word it's how much your shots will "push" other tanks and make them turn/flip/tilt etc. The higher your impact, the more likely you will be to flip your opponent or knock his aim off, making him miss or crash into walls. Penetrating power is the amount of damage Railgun deals to the next tank, after already going through one. As you probably know - Railgun can shoot multiple tanks if they are standing in one line. However, with lower Railgun grades the penetrating power is low, so the first tank will receive full damage, but the second one will get only a bit of damage and the third will get even less. If you upgrade your penetrating power, it means that the second, third, fourth (and so on) tanks will get more damage from your shot. The initial damage does not increase. PM me if you want more details. In the future if you want to ask a question about the game, please refrain from creating new topics and use the official http://help.tankionline.com Q&A site. Closed.

    Percentage Chances of Missions

The 0.01% chance was not included in the value to avoid confusion among most users. You can clearly see that many players already got XT equipment (old as well as new), therefore your suspicions are false. Please ask questions on the help site. Closed.

    Missions close button

Happened to me once. I had a gold box mission and changed it by accident. Of course I got a gold box 10 minutes later.
  15. Obviously there is no section on the forum for it. As said above, transfer and exchange of game accounts is against the rules and if you attempt to do it (e.g. create a topic titled "who wants to buy my acc") you risk getting banned or even blocked. Just don't do it. PM me or ask on the help.tankionline.com site if you have any more questions. Closed.

^ more or less.... yeah. Let's congratulate all those, who got XT items instead of car accidents then :)

    Bought a kit, but...?

If you upgraded your M1 a lot, then it will be very similar to M2, so you will not feel the difference. An M1 with 75% micro upgrades is almost the same as M2, while 100% MU is exactly the same as a basic M2. Answering your question - yes, you expected too much, but you can always micro-upgrade your M2 to make it closer to M3. Tanki World Records

Not a Tanki record as it has nothing to do with the game.

    Fake developer Facebook profiles

Unfortunately there will always be ways to scam people on the internet, so you just have to learn to avoid them and be safe. Not much we can do about this here. Topic title changed.

if gold box dropped would you?

I think the answer is quite obvious. Most players go look for the gold and a minority use this time to steal some flags. If you want to discuss gold boxes, you can do that in the main topic: Gold Boxes! Closed.

    Shaft with a Laser?

The main reason why Shaft's stealth was taken away is because this isn't the game where such stealth fits in. Yes, Shaft is a sniper, but that doesn't mean that you have to stay hidden in one spot throughout the whole game. You need to move around and look for appropriate enemies, use your fast shot ability if you need to. But only go into sniper mode if you actually see enemies advancing far away and you want to pick them off. You say that Railgun, Smoky and Thunder have an element of surprise. For Railgun it's not true - Railgun's turret lights up for 1 second before the shot, which allows you take appropriate action (shoot back and knock his aim off, hide, activate DA, etc.). Notice how many Railgun players use the "rollout" tactic, where they hide behind the wall, press space when they see the enemy and expose themselves only when the shot is warmed up. Well, fun fact: you can do that with Shaft too. Just aim at a wall or tree in front of you and when an enemy appears on your screen - move your aim and shoot them. They won't suspect a thing! Smoky and Thunder may have surprise on their side, but that is one of their advantages, while on the other hand they have many different disadvantages, which Shaft does not have. One of these is the fact that both of these guns lose damage potential over long distances, which is not the case for Shaft. This gives Shaft a massive advantage over Smoky and Thunder on large maps, despite having the laser. Either way Shaft's laser is completely fair because it makes the gameplay more dynamic. Before the update, there was no interaction between the Shaft and the enemies he shoots, whereas now it takes skill to hide your laser and trick players into coming into your line of sight. The laser has turned Shaft from a basic "point and kill" gun into a weapon that has great potential if you get the skill to use it.

    Let's Discuss Skins!

There will be less paint visible. Look at the pictures on the first page - all the areas with green on them are the bits where the paint is visible. Imagine your paint of choice in place of the green and you get what the paint looks like with XT equipment.
