Gold boxes fall randomly with a chance of 1:10000 for every crystal added to the fund. This means that when you kill someone and (for example) 7 crystals are added to the fund, the game asks a question seven times "is it time to drop a gold box yet?" and it has a 1 in 10000 chance to answer "yes" in which case a gold box drops. On average there will be one gold box for every 10000 crystals of fund. This doesn't mean that you are guaranteed to get a gold box in a battle with 10000 crystals in fund. Probability is random, so you can get 5 gold boxes in 10 minutes, or you could be playing for 4 hours, have 50000 crystals in fund, yet only get one gold box. For your particular case, you will probably get to see around one gold box per hour, so good luck catching them! I'd like to settle this once and for all. Tanki Online is losing players and there is nothing unexpected about it. It would be extremely surprising if the numbers did NOT go down. In fact, it's still surprising that the numbers of active players are so high (around 70-80k). "Why?" you may ask. Well, Unity TO is in development right now and soon enough this version of the game will become secondary to the new Unity. Why bother advertising the game and trying to bring new players into the old and outdated version if the new one will be released soon? This is why the development team significantly reduced all marketing funds and are focusing on nothing other than releasing the Unity version as soon as possible. That's when the adverts will go back up and new players will come flooding into the game. Until then the number of players will go down, as expected, and there is no point threatening the developers with "loss of players due to bad updates" because that's not the case.

I know them all. I don't want to add Island because there is no point. The whole purpose of the topic is so that players can learn the drop locations and check them all when the siren sounds, but on Island there is never a problem of not knowing where the gold box can drop since it's such a small map. Therefore creating a drop locations map for it won't help. I know a few spots on it, so I might add it next time.

I don't know the exact numbers that administrator use to determine if the karma is "bad" or "good" and I'm not sure if those numbers even exist. I'm pretty sure that applications are approved/rejected based on multiple reasons. So for example a person with zero bans may not be accepted for candidacy because their communications skills are too poor or their attitude towards other players isn't as polite as it needs to be, while a player with a few bans in their history may still be accepted if they have extremely good knowledge of the game and are great at explaining things and being patient when having to deal with a flood of silly questions. You, on the other hand, are extremely unlikely to get a staff job. A few bans are OK and your karma is usually considered "clean" if you didn't get any major (1 hour and more) bans for the past 6 months, however having more than 100 violations in your history will most definitely result in a rejection of your application, because it shows that you refuse to change your attitude towards the official rules and keep breaking them. Good karma is zero bans. Trust me - for a normal, mature person it's not that hard to achieve.
