It's true, what they did was quite odd. However, be glad that they don't use the League of Legends (along with many other games) tactic - making skins (basically an aesthetic for your character) only available to buy with premium currency (which costs a lot of real money)True, it will take a long time (or a few days for mods if you believe the incorrect crap some players say about staff wages) but at least it is still possible. And I am inclined to agree that paints are now starting to become status symbols. We now have a paint to show if someone has spec mode!

As for the price, yes it is ridiculously high for the majority. The devs know that and despite what you think, they can hear when you guys say to lower the price. They need to work out how much they need to lower it by. They can't just set it at 5k each or not it will mess up the economy. So if it takes a while for the improvements, just wait. Playing with an old paint you have for now won't kill you, will it? If the video was lost on me, perhaps you would like to explain what you were trying to say?

You take things too literally mate. I mentioned MS Paint because you contrasted the watch with the paints, which you said has "originality and quality, WHEREAS the paints..." You essentially implied that the paints lack these features. MS Paint being a free, low quality application that people can use to make a Tanki paint, . I don't know what you are going on about with the video, from what I was bothered to watch I saw Micah grab a texture from Fireworks and turn it into a paint. From what I know, the designers in Tanki actually draw those textures with drawing tablets. Even during the first vlogs (in Bruce's time) he hand drew the props and background with a tablet. In fact, you can probably see the designers draw the paints during one of the vlogs. And good luck trying to get the devs to design 50+ paints for the different teams, then get players complaining that their fav team isn't there. Plus with the cost of licensing the paints will be even more expensive.

Don't fool yourself into thinking that paints take 2 mins on MS Paint to make, they spend a lot of time designing the texture and ensuring that it wraps perfectly. The football team paint is not a bad idea, but the logos are copyrighted and tanki has made country paints before (eg. Euro 2016)

For recruits as mentioned above but also so people can play matches without protection - eg. duel against a friend, same weapons, no protection

There have been more controversial major updates in the history of Tanki, probably the rebalance was the biggest one. I have said this before and I'll say it again: Tanki will not rollback the update, it is far too late and it is not in their interests to do so. Just wait for the following fix updates and it will be fine.

They are perhaps accepted because, unlike here, half of the topic isn't filled with players threatening to quit tanki or videos about 'this is why I hate tanki'.If the people here want a change, they should explain the flaw in the update and suggest possible improvements, not whine or bring up vodka jokes or insult the help team.

Wait, so let me get this straight, because I am not prepared to read 180 pages of whining. The update basically separated paints from their protection so that paints are now aesthetic items and you need protection modules for weapon resistances? And people are loosing their ** over it? Why? Well quite obviously everyone will want it for free, its not the players who set the price its the dev team that deals with the in-game currency finances, to make sure we don't end up with a really cheap and OP paint that everyone will end up using. Hence the need for a rebalance.

Hardly spying and definitely not an infringement. You agreed to it in the EULA when you joined the game (or agreed to the updated version). Being able to view someone's garage can improve the game - it makes friends more competitive to get the better weapon, it can help when high end clans want to thoroughly plan their clan war (they can see who has what weapon upgrade etc) But anyway, what do you really think people (who have just joined a random game that you're in) will do if they look at your profile?

Not really. The devs have special privileges that you don't. Deal with it, they made the game and that's their decision. I don't see whats the problem with people being able to see your garage. Its not like every player you meet in a battle will make fun of you for not upgrading that Hammer to M1

Please don't start talking rubbish, they accepted me as a consultant, Facebook mod and commentator (and even scraped in as a reporter) ages ago and I barely spent any money on Tanki. Want to know why? Because the head mod, yes, the one who decides whether to accept you or not, doesn't check your "Tanki balance". Sounds like someone is still salty about a rejected mod application?
