Saving crystals? Not buying anything. Case closed.

That's actually a pretty good idea. Would help the drug plague by giving everyone a fair chance in drug wars.

Weapon>Hull

They should try porting Tanki to BASIC while they're at it lel

The developers motives are far beyond the realm of our understanding.

1. Use M0 at Marshal 2. Be literally of NO help to your team 3. Get called a mult 4. ??? 5. Profit

Magnums in my rank usually get pummeled to oblivion by Twins or Ricos before they can even make their second shot (in DMs at least anyway), so they're not that big of a threat to me. Only the really good ones have a chance of even making it into the top 5. I'm still more threatened by a Twins/Hornet barreling towards me than a Mammoth/Magnum who can barely get a shot at my tank.

[Issue 64] [Guide] The Updated Ultimate Guide to Twins

I think what the guide wants to say is that Twins has a very high overall impact force in relation to its fire rate. You get 1 magnum shot per ~5 Seconds while you're receiving 3-4 plasma balls per second. Plus the chance of a Magnum shot hitting you is pretty slim but with Twins, you're receiving a constant barrage. Just goes to show that you cannot judge a turret's performance on numbers alone. -
Zero supply was a good mode. Sure, you'd face hordes of drugging enemies but at the same time, if played right, you'd make half or even your whole team drugged up, which was awesome!

I think Kolhoz as a map that could fit the play style of every turret. You could get first place with Rail in one round and get top spot again in the second with Firebird. Its got wide open spaces for long ranged turrets and tight corners for short ranged ones. It's not my favorite maps on the list, but it's up there. Great guide!

[Issue 64] [Guide] The Updated Ultimate Guide to Twins

Does Twins really need a guide anyway? It's basically a point and shoot and wait till the enemy dies. :P Just kidding, awesome work. Really fleshed out the details there. Im considering wether to get this turret or the module against it ;P -
^Careful using that tactic in my rank, you'd get shredded by a combined force of Ricos and Twins in seconds.

People still quoting posts from 4 years ago, great. So many people using Ricochet these days. As a Shaft user, its a nightmare!

If you want to actually stand a chance in normal battles, i suggest getting the High Caliber alt.
-
Yes, non-pro. In fact, the 2nd place guy tried so hard to catch up to me lol. If I was teaming, I'd have one less guy to kill, so no. :P I don't think so, but it was fun regardless.

Already posted in POTD but I felt like bragging today. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh man...so this is what it feels to dominate

With 225 hours with Hunter-Shaft I can say that using this turret in Legend ranks is manageable but extremely difficult, but I have techniques to keep myself alive. 1. Practice mouse controls These types of controls are most suited for Shaft, since you can aim very quickly and when you press the right mouse button, you can quickly monitor your surroundings whilst no moving your turret. Perfect for fooling the enemy that they have the upper hand by sneaking behind you. 2. Do not prolong your scope mode When searching for targets, do not do so whilst in scope mode, otherwise the laser might give your position away and deter any enemies from crossing your path. Instead, locate targets in normal mode and once you find someone you are sure you can kill within 5 seconds gun for him. If the target escapes your scope immediately discard your charged shot and locate a new one while reloading. You never know who's trying to gun you down while you're a sitting duck, and you can probably deal with them using your arcade shots as well. 3. Aim for missions which give you double power/buy only double power in sales 'tis the only supply you'll ever need. It will halve your charge up time, which is great if you're keen on one-shotting almost everyone on the playing field and then some (maybe even druggers as well). If you can, stock up on Nitros as well, as it gives a turret rotation speed boost, which also applies in Scoped mode. This are all the tips I could give as for now. Maybe I'll post more in the future. Keep Shafting bros

I've been playing with Shaft for as long as I remember, and it does wonderfully in DMs providing you have the skills for it. You'll do especially well when you know how to use the mouse control feature to give you extra situational awareness, and in drug wars, all you need are a stack of double powers to dominate ;) Check here: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=177137&p=6107924

You hurt me. Just buy it

Bought the M1 alt on my noob account and I gotta say, it makes aiming easier and the increased reload is massively offsetted by your shots actually hitting your target. I can even maximize its ricocheting capabilities to even hit targets where I least expect them to be.

It's such a pleasure to one-hit kill everything in sight. B)

31 ranks, 123 699 kills, 1,800,000 experience points, 6 years, and countless battles later...
-
Make sure you have crystals to invest in its MUs. Every single one is a matter of one-shotting a Medium hull or not.
-
Tried the Heavy Capacitors alt for Shaft today and it was, pretty underwhelming to say the least. While it's actually great if you are a die-hard camper who's maniacally obsessed with one-shotting everyone (yes even heavy hulls), you become a sitting duck 90% of the time. Shaft becomes too slow and sluggish for my taste.
