My computer is already heating up at the thought.

A few adjustments would make this update perfect. You have again rushed much too fast in testing, releasing an update that feels "unfinished." Some suggestions: Give a slight increase in Critical Hit damage, keeping Smoky unpredictable (which equates to fun) Decrease maneuverability of Hornet, now it is much too difficult to control Decrease severity of Freeze effect on turrets, decrease Freeze damage slightly Increase slightly the amount of damage Vulcan will do; decrease effective range and vertical aim to that of Thunder Increase Twins effective range Slightly decrease Firebird base damage, increase reload time Decrease Ricochet damage slightly Either increase Hammer reload time further, reduce its damage, or reduce its effective range, it is still much too strong Again, an update that if it was tweaked slightly, would have been received far better than it is now, looking at all the negative responses here (and even from a Forum Admin, what a shame). I hope you take these suggestions in consideration, if any of you developers are reading this.

Well, forests are usually supposed to be massive. So the map fits its name well now, I suppose.
-
Actually, the Critical Damage nerf isn't as bad as it once was. It went from a horrid 72, up to a more reasonable 95, as I last remember. And with increased base damage, it will still be a formidable foe on the battlefield.
-
That's...actually not a bad idea. I wonder what Hazel would think about that. To get to the point though, I understand your pain. Imagine what it is like to play this game for almost 5 years now. It's almost unrecognizable compared to the old Tanki. But do you know what has remained the same all these years? Gameplay. You still can enter the battle, crush your enemies, catch a gold here and there, truthfully not much has changed in that department. In fact, the game is much fairer now than it was back then. Though you are right, there are some improvements that could be made, such as the above crystal box suggestion. Overall though, the game is just as good, if not better, as it was. And I feel that once the Unity version comes out soon, it'll be even better, trust me. ;)

I can't stress this enough. Critical damage is what makes Smoky Smoky. Otherwise it wouldn't be critical...it would just be regular damage! By reducing Critical Damage, you are effectively reducing Smoky's capability in combat...regardless of the slight increase in normal damage you give to it. Critical hit has already been critically nerfed enough. Plus, veteran players of Smoky would grow bored with its increasing predictability...
-
It was already said in a v-log that crystals won't come back, but I think if enough players are wanting it, a new adjusted system could possibly be made...but I doubt it. ^_^
-
I don't think the OP is worried about how many M1s he has anymore... :P
-
I have a sickening feeling deep in my stomach, that the developers will just release the changes into the game, without considerations of what was said here. Because they've done it several times before, with other changes, such as the updated battle list or the shaft laser, without any adjustments made to the system. We will see... In the meantime, I'm preparing the gravestone for my poor old Smoky.

It seems developers are more focused on making Firebird, Ricochet, and Railgun the kings of the ring, rather than focusing on hidden gem of Smoky. A Smoky without its critical hit is just a pea shooter, like it was before the rebalance. This must be a cruel joke. I had considered saving for M2 Smoky during the sale, but if this update comes and (as I suspect) heavily reduces critical damage, Smoky will become just another pile of dust in my garage. :( M2 Ricochet is looking very good right now.
-
I was planning on getting Smoky M2 during the sale. With this update? Not so much. Increase either regular Smoky damage, or critical damage. Either one now is far too small. Goodbye Smoky, hello Ricochet!

15 Railgun M4 shoots can not kill Mamooth , is possible ?

More importantly, was it @Godmode_ON? -
It will be exactly as powerful it is now. The damage will simply be distributed to more tanks. So actually this is a good update for Hornets and Wasps, they won't take as much of a hit if they stay far away from Hammer. Hammer in turn will become more Thunder-like, doing more damage to a wider area. Whether this is good or bad depends on your preferred type of gameplay.

I think the difference between modifications is far too little. It's very hard to tell the difference between m1 and m2, for example. I think the model needs to be updated, just like Hammer was. For now Vulcan looks too "plain" compared to the other guns. Don't you agree? The OP should also be updated to match the other turret discussion pages. Could a moderator come and edit the OP?
-
OP you should update the pictures of Hammer modifications. The Hammer model has been updated since then. See here.

Who else but Godmode_ON? No...he didn't force me to say this.

What do you propose be done? We definitely need a new Kick option back in the game, but it must be in a way that's difficult to abuse like the old Kick system was. For now all we can do is either /vote, or record the mults and post it in the Violators section.
-
This would actually make sense, if the developers had sent the modified gun back into the garage and returned your crystals to you and let you decide if you wanted to buy the changed gun. Like for instance when Smoky and Railgun had its recoil greatly reduced, or when Shaft was given its laser, a lot of game-changers in which tankers weren't allowed to have a second chance to re-try their weapons. There have also been a lot of "micro-changes" recently, most times without player's knowledge, though it's quite minor. But to ask this (returning crystals for a changed gun) is like asking a dead tree to make syrup. And that leads me to another thing I miss dearly...the crystals I spent on Shaft a while ago :(
-
Or at least have a checkbox in the Settings that, when checked, enable the old pre-1.100 graphics. It wouldn't even change gameplay or balance, purely aesthetic. I miss the old blue firebird. :( And the red Railgun.
-
It's still there, but only in certain PRO battles. In normal battles, I definitely don't miss that
-
Probably because they in a way livened up the game. Now the battle list is just boring...the same names repeated over and over. But with custom battle names, you had something unique almost every time. That will sorely be missed. True, the new Isida just looks like it is shooting a flow of colored air or water. The old Isida look actually had some fearsome lightning effect! But I guess it had to fit in with the "nanobots" idea...since nanobots apparently don't come in the form of electricity. Maybe it should have the lightning effect only when it's attacking, but the new flowing effect when it's healing? Just my two cents.
-
Which one of these tanks is the best option to save up for? I'm having a hard time deciding. Or I could get the Pitbull kit, rather than wait for a May or June sale. Would that be a wiser choice compared to any of the above combos? I play medium sized maps, like Polygon, Silence, Rio, but I'm not afraid to get into huge maps either, though they make me a bit uncomfortable. I'm good as an attacker and a defender, I can gladly and quickly switch roles if it's needed. Some good advice would be appreciated!

What is something you wish Tanki would bring back?
Papaya14 replied to Papaya14 in What is something you wish Tanki would bring back? Archive
Personally I'd love it if they brought back battle names. So a few bad eggs spoiled it...why not censor bad words in the title like how it is done in the chat? It's something to think about. What's something that Tanki took away that YOU would like if it made a re-appearance, and why? Not that bringing back anything is guaranteed, but it's nice to discuss features that we miss, no matter how minor they were. -
I don't think Hazel is going to read this... :P
