  1. Sorry, I would not buy it. I only play games from home, not on my phone or any other mobile device.

    support via help@tankionline.com

This is the answer that I got: So...to get any answers, I need to send an e-mail to help@tankionline...which we already know takes months (years???) to get a response. Hahahaha, the "subtlety" of your humor is appreciated!

I like the way you handled this discussion, "moderately" pointing out the areas for discussion of these topics. Well done and good moderating! Nice job!

K.L.E.R.I.K and other noob shaft in ns Tribute

You said that! 15 or more player try to make battle for themselves becouse they want to play THAT kind of battle. Smarty, can you explain me this? We are on 3 differrent server (eng, ru, de) and we dont know each other (through Skype, FB or whatever). How will others see PRIVATE link which someone post on english server?? Well, my friend, if you think insulting other players on the forum is going to further your cause, you are sadly mistaken. Perhaps you should go back and read what I wrote rather than selecting only that part that suits your particular agenda. Understand??

Since you guys changed the rank players

Well, it seems as though there was a lot of informative discussion about the Isida here. This forum is "supposed" to be about the exchange of ideas and information for the players, it is "their" community. So it is not a place where you should dictate what they discuss, especially since you brought it up. As a more experienced player, it is for you to set the example. If you have the option to bring up the Isida and discuss it, then the logical conclusion is that the community has just as much right to carry on this discussion as they wish. Limiting the free exchange of ideas and opinions only to the point that it suits you personally is tyrannical at best. You made this sound like "We'll talk about what I want to talk about until I don't want to talk about it any more, then YOU shut up!". I don't mean this as a personal comment, but just trying to demonstrate that if you bring up the idea, you should expect the community to respond and allow for the free exchange of those opinions and ideas, not over step your bounds in the manner that you did and shut it down just because you think it should end there. It's not so much what happens in the forum it's how you handle it that counts. Encouraging the community to participate is part of being a good member of the community, keeping within reasonable limits. I am sure that Tanki online wishes to expand the community and attract more players. If you wanted to end this discussion, there are more diplomatic ways of doing so. The way you handled this was an affront to the community, very draconian and uncalled for. Perhaps you will learn from this experience and choose to think about how this was handled and use a different tactic next time. Everyone makes mistakes, and this was one. Good luck and thanks for participating in the forum.

    Problem whits Shaft

Maybe you should be more descriptive about your problem. It seems as though the rest of us are not experiencing what ever your issue is, so there's not much talk about it. What do you mean by "blocked"? You can't log in? You can't access Shaft as a turret? Explain! Then maybe if there is a real issue with the game itself, the Tanki team could help you. But that seems unlikely that it's a Tanki online issue.

On April 15 the 1.75.0 release

Nice job, Tanki! It's obvious that the Tanki staff is making a sincere effort to improve the game, and each step taken is a good, progressive one. I've been away for a few days so haven't tested this out much yet, but I've seen a decrease in the hacking so far and that is a welcome sight! Keep up the good work! I am hoping that soon this game will reach its true potential once this major issue is overcome. Thanks for your efforts and responding to the needs of your community. Good job! :)

    Developers' news

I use a Mac and the biggest complaint I have is that Safari sucks so bad that it crashes too much. Don't suggest Chrome because there I end up with a 1-2 FPS! And Firefox crashes too often too. So I thought maybe my OS was sucking too bad so I ordered an upgrade from Apple for about $50. Seemed good for a day or two and now it crashes just as much as ever, never mind resetting my Mac. Guess you just got to live with it and all the hackers on Silenece and Silence II that are constantly ruining the game and Tanki putting no one live in the games to solve the problem. You can't even page a Mod from inside the game, so yeah, it just sucks. Life goes on. I use Safari not because its great, but because it is my best option. Firefox and Chrome can be "stable" and connect, but have horrible framerates. I have OSX 10.5.8 and will not update just for Tanki Online. In Safari, I am using Flash 10.3.183.18. If you want to try the new Hardware Acceleration, you will NEED to have at least OSX 10.6 or you will NEVER get any hardware acceleration here. If you are OSX 10.5 or below, I'd stick with Flash 10.3 (it is stable) I use Mac OSX 10.5.8 and Flash 10.3.183.18 and that combo gives me pretty stable results with ONLY Safari and framerates of about 25 FPS average. On my Windows 7 box, using Flash 11 I get 50-60 FPS Mac INFO summary: OSX 10.6 and Above ----> Use Flash 11 (new Hardware Accelerated Tanki, 50-60 FPS) OSX 10.5 and Below ----> Use Flash 10.3 ( 20-25 FPS ) Firefox on Mac has gotten buggy and horrible Chrome on Mac is fine, but I find BAD framerates with Tanki, and no Fixes Safari on Mac is best option, even if it crashes every now and then (usually due to bad Flash implementation of Tanki code) The crashes that were happening when the new hardware accelerated patch was released has cleared up Macs are great, but we Mac users are typically punished for having one in a world dominated by the PC. Even if you upgrade from a OSX 10.5 to a OSX 10.6, Flash is going to insist that your OS is still a 10.5 and isn't going to give you Flash 11, sadly. I have an FPS between 48-50 now as opposed to the old 20 FPS, but I still can't get Flash 11! Ah well, the vagaries of the Mac world! You are right, Firefox IS horrible. I don't have any luck with Tanki on Chrome, I get an FPS of 1 ! So that is not an option for me. Got to hang with Safari. Now I usually find that the first game I get into crashes right away. Then I have to come back in, log out, log back in and hope Safari hangs in there. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. But one thing you can count on.... at some point it probably will crash again.

    Lets share the confiscated goods

Well, this is the way warfare is supposed to work, to the victors go the spoils! Nice idea Tanki and much appreciated! Now let's see if it actually compensates for the hundreds and hundreds of crystals that were lost from hackers after working so hard to get to the top spots in so many games! It sounds equitable and sounds as if this will do it. Thanks again for your generosity and support of the community. Whomever thought this one up, give them a raise! :D

K.L.E.R.I.K and other noob shaft in ns Tribute

Perhaps I am a little confused by this topic and what is being said in this thread, so please give me guidance if I am wrong. Currently, the system that Tanki Online has devised is set up so that everyone in battle is within a 7 rank range of one another. So someone of too high a power rank could not enter your battle. It seems to me that everyone in Tanki online has an equal opportunity to progress. Everyone has an equal opportunity to acquire different types of turrets and hulls. There is nothing that prevents me from having the same type of turret or hull as you. And, if because of a player's own efforts, they have progressed to a point of having a Shaft, who are any of you to tell him or her when they can or cannot use what they have earned or even purchased? They have just as much right to play in a game as you do, just as much right to use whatever they have as you do. I've been frustrated in games too when someone or a group of people came in with much better equipment and wiped out the team I was on. But guess what guys? No one EVER said war had to be fair. Nor does ANY battle on Tanki online have to be fair. I think all this whining and complaining is immature. If I don't like what is going on in a game, I am free to choose another rather than whining at another player about them getting out (Hackers obviously excluded!). It's just the way life is, it's not always going to go your way. There may always be someone with a better advantage than you. So move on. Progress. Earn a Shaft yourself or go buy it. But stop the whining and go play. Just an opinion.

Since you guys changed the rank players

Again I have to agree with some of the comments above that are pro the Isida. I like to play the Isida from time to time. I hate those that just camp at the flag. The Isida can be key in a victory if used properly and primarily in going for the flag or located at key spots just prior to jumping into battle for a flag. Depending on the hull you use, in concert with those who do the battling, the Isida can be the one who snags the flag while healing its team mates and charging back to base to capture the enemy flag. Again, it all comes down to strategy and having a good team. If it's every man for himself and no one is cooperating, well it just sucks to be an Isida and the most you are probably going to do is get points for healing and stealing the flag on your own. But used properly, the Isida can be a key component in a team victory. It just depends on your style of play. Some will like it and some will not. Just an opinion.

    Last Rnk to use Smoky

I agree with some of the comments above, a player with Smokey can be an annoying little bugger to some higher ranks because of its range and rate of fire if used correctly and strategically. If you just get into a battle and blast away, you may have fun, but not last too long. You've got to plan and strategize a bit.

Great new suggestions from the Sultanate of Oman

Honestly Tanki Online, I am embarrassed for you. I read the above threads and you don't have a Moderator staff who reads these daily? And you allow this kind of stuff to exist on your Forum? The language, the debasing of other people and their culture and or opinions as part of the community? So depending on where you live you can or cannot express an opinion without the expectation of being flamed? Shame on you Tanki online for allowing this. How embarrassing and how poorly it speaks of you in maintaining a classy environment for your players. Really, you should do something about this like block these messages and warn players about forum etiquette. I know you have rules about this, so it's time to step up and apply them otherwise how do you expect the community to respect you? Thanks.

    New graphics or no cheaters

its already on 1.74 ._. how would you suggest they would find and 'delete' all the cheaters? There's been ample discussion on how to deal with the hacker problem, and it really is not that difficult to resolve if you make it so that it's difficult to get away with and no fun any more. Even simple me has made suggestions on it, but probably most suggestions are not seen by Tanki staff that could implement it if it comes from English speakers who cannot write in Cyrillic.

    shaft

  16. Well here's the deal Tanki fans and the cold, hard reality.... This is NOT a democracy, my friends. You don't get a vote. Although I would like to vote with my dollars by taking them elsewhere if Tanki does not listen to the community, I suspect that we as an English speaking community are virtually up against a wall. An easy resolution to this issue is as follows: 1. They create 3 separate areas for newbies to fight each other and restrict it to lower ranks. As each one progresses, he can move up to the next room. These 3 rooms are restricted to the newbies only up to (fill in the rank you think is right here!). That way the newbies have an even chance against each other, don't get overwhelmed by higher, more experienced players, and have a chance to test things out and grow in rank with their peers. However, newbies will also have the option for open play if they so choose (see point #2). 2. Leave open gameplay to everyone, regardless of rank. Although the newbies have their own rooms to play in, they can go to open play IF they choose to do so, and the choice IS left open to them. Likewise rooms could be created for Vets, but open play is still an option for them as well. 3. Set rooms for Vets to play in. These rooms would be restricted to Vet players only, say from the rank of 3rd Lt and up. Make 3 or 4 rooms. Restrict the rooms to certain ranks and allow the Vets to challenge and play each other. Just like the rooms for newbies, Vets who feel they just want to play with people around their level for a few games can choose to do so. They also have the option to choose open play as listed in #2. I think this idea would make most people happy and give everyone an equal footing no matter what their choice. But the key here is that they get to CHOOSE, not have some very, very restricted rank system foisted upon them whereby we cannot even meet and play with friends or have the newer players have the opportunity to know Vets and be mentored by them in the game. Tanki, it you want to kill your business and make this game harder to market, keep the system that you devised. Adapt one similar to what is suggested here, and you open the possibilities and opportunities for your players to grow and have a strong community. Think about it and I hope you make a wise decision. And I hope someone at Tanki reads this and I'm not just talking to myself. Thank you.

    Just Me and my smokey

I have to agree. I saved crystals and upgraded my Smokey and used it in Polygon to gain points like mad rather than getting a bunch of other stuff. I like the long range capability of the Smokey. I think you will enjoy Thunder once you have it and upgrade it. It's fun too!

Why is it higher ranks get less XP for a Kill

I find that the system is not necessarily equitable. For example, I am working my butt off getting kills. I also may have a better kill ratio (a much better kill ratio!) than someone of a lower rank, but this guy will be in first place while I may be second, third or fourth. He may actually have more losses than kills, and he is still getting more crystals than me! I don't see how you can have more deaths than kills and still rank higher in getting crystals. I've seen this too many times. I understand that a Sergeant killing a Marshal should be given more credits, but things just seem to be a bit out of balance.

    CHANLENGES AND ADD FRIENDS

Agreed. I was a Community Representative for another on line game and we had that exact feature. You could add friends to your list and a green light would shine when they were online and a red one when they weren't. You could use that feature to join them in game so that you could always keep track of your friends. Of course, it was restricted to the person accepting you as a friend so you could not just stalk people.

Allocation of ranks: Allocation of weapons and tanks

I have played other games that have restrictions for newbies only to enter (like 3 levels) and then a category for only Vets to enter but also leaving normal game play open to everyone regardless of rank. Is that what you are suggesting? If not, your idea may be deemed to be too restrictive and not much fun!
