Let's Discuss Protection Modules In this topic you can discuss anything related to protection modules in the game. The game offers 15 protection modules, each one protecting against a single turret or mines. Each module has 4 modifications, going from M0 to M3 and each module can be micro-upgraded. A fully micro upgraded M3 module offers 50% protection from the turret in the module. You can combine up to 3 single modules in a module set to use in battles. Does the actual paint job give your car a boost? I don't think it does. You can tweak a few parts indeed, that's when micro upgrades come into play. You can tweak your hull and turret by (micro) upgrading them and you can give it a fancy paint job by buying a new paint. I understand that the paint prices seem outrageous, since they offer nothing but a nice look.. Kind of like XT items. Some people are willing to pay some money/crystals to look good, some are willing to pay a lot and some are not willing to pay anything at all. The good part is though, that neither of these three will have an advantage in battle for looking good. You can micro upgrade them to 50/50/50.

I will try to explain why I think some of the paints are so expensive. Please bare with me. Lets say I have a car: Since too many people drive a silver car, I'm bored of the color and I want a new paint job. I can go for something simple like this: Which will cost me... €500. Or.. I could go for something special and shiny like this: Which will cost me, say, 4.5k. In this comparison, silver is equivalent to green paint in Tanki, black is equivalent to Rhino and the artsy paint job is equivalent to Inferno. Of course tastes differ and I prefer the black paint job over the red-ish paint job. The way prices for paints in Tanki are now set, I assume, is based on what the developers think looks beautiful. Another reason for the huge cost of some paints could be that Tanki wants some exclusive paints, paints that everyone wants to have, but only few have. Exclusivity can be accomplished in various ways, like only selling a limited amount of items (Aston Martin Vantage GT3) or for a limited time (Eternity and Red Suit), or by making something really expensive (Prada, Armani...). However, too many players already own several of the expensive paints, so it will take a long time before paints like Zeus and Tiger will reach the status of exclusivity.

They never disappeared: Most likely you can't see them because you have every hull and turret available at your rank m2 already. Once you rank up, you should see a discount on Shaft and Firebird. Aditionally, you won't receive any discounts on m3 equipment yet, because you don't have m3 equipment yet.

Now that AK is no more..

Because the paints got separated from their protection, the flash banner cannot load properly. It should be fixed in a matter of days. The same happened when Hammer, Vulcan and the new paints got introduced.

Can you check if it's the same when you use another browser?

That happens when you join a battle while your pc is running other programs at the same time. Refreshing, rejoining or getting killed solves the problem. For me it happens more in big maps and happens always when I open another window (like Skype) while my battle is loading. I can't tell you why it crashes, but I can tell you that the same happens for me. What I do when I want to change accounts is to log off, close standalone flash player, open it and open Tanki. Somehow standalone flash player can't handle opening a new link while it's already opened.
