There's no special formula, just add the percentage. If you receive 50 damage from a weapon, and you get a 50% paint from that weapon, you will only receive 25 damage when wearing that paint. So the formula is (Weapon Damage - Percentage of Protection), which in the above case is (50-50%)=25 In the future, please ask your questions in Q&A. Closed.

Chat messages are the least of your worries - the data packets that chat messages send are extremely tiny, even compared to the data packets sent from your tanks position, rotation, etc. Having an option to remove chat will make virtually no difference in your perception of lag. Scammers and hackers are different. Scammers are people who try to deceive you into sharing your account details. Hackers are programmers who actually have enough computer knowledge and skills to break into people's accounts. Saying "beware of hackers" is rather useless, because if they want your account, they will get it.
