We diversified, and it's not a bad thing :) -
For asking what to buy, ask here. No need to make a separate thread, but since I'm posting...I'm going to have to go with Alien, even though I wouldn't recommend buying either. Shaft protection is useless at higher ranks when not many use shaft.
-
Thanks guys :) You too slash, no worries.
-
Great photoshop, tbh, it actually does .-. I like marshal over it though...

Hey, you don't need to make a topic for asking one question. You can make it in the FAQ 'Questions and Answers'. But, here's an article in Issue 8 of press in which I think Visi did a great job in telling how to make the most crystals: Maximizing Crystal Income Hope it helps, have fun, and see you on the battlefield.

lol It is a pretty paint. Next person will like Hohloma

What's with editing (facepalm).

Happy birthday. No profanity please. Also, there's a birthday thread so you can add yours ;)

I never noticed...I've been daydreaming all this time :o Thanks for the notice.

Use the search button. Spectator mode for those would be unfair because you would know the secrets and the places of where your enemy team is and possibly tell your friends in the battle. Barely any staff get spectator mode anyways and it is an earned privilage. If any player could have it, there would be no more even and fair battles. Think about it.

Guide [Issue 11] Ten Ways to Maximize Experience

You have no idea how that just made me think of someone :| Thanks for the suggestions :) -
In America, you write and send PM's. In Soviet Russia, PM's write and send you.

Epic repetition? Yea, it sticks in your brain but repeating the same repeating words are as boring as repeating your repeating daily routines...
-
Uh...as unsanitary as this sounds...but I don't brush my teeth in the morning. Toothpaste is found to be poisoned and thrown away with dead spiders lying near it. The person below comes and eats my garbage with poisoned toothpaste.

That....hideous....thing...got rid of it the first day and bought white. Next person will like Spark.

Thanks for pointing it out. Please send full screenshots of chat violators to a chat moderator as a PM instead of making a topic.

I have Sandstone and Electra as paints. Should I get Rustle or both M1/M2 freeze at next sale? Thanks in advance. Abraar, Shaft is useless at higher ranks. I think Smoky would be a good choice. But that's my own opinion.

Guide [Issue 12] CTF Focus: Medium Maps I
SpreadLoveNotHate replied to SpreadLoveNotHate in [Issue 12] CTF Focus: Medium Maps I Newspaper Archive
Large maps are often used for clan wars, and small maps are often used to have quick flag battles. But, those maps in between are the ones that balance the needs of players and attract them into playing what they are interested in. A mix of combinations and skills. Here's two popular maps to help you guide your way through these maps in Capture the Flag. Sandal, a fairly regular sized map packed with fun gameplay for all ranks. Every high rank has played in this map regardless of liking it or not, since it is one of the only ones available for recruits. Being played so often, all players think of is their experiences and randomly dashing towards the flag with strategy planned ahead of the attack. Here's a few tips as to what you can do to end your CTF quicker with more captures. Advantages of Sandal > Open areas, easy to attack > Easy to defend when flag is taken away, since all the routes can be seen in a glance. Disadvantages of Sandal > Concentrated flag area, enemy teammates could easily block you off when defending and attacking. > A lot of open area allows a great advantage to the weapons with unlimited range, but those with limited range are put at a great disadvantage and would be easily killed if not with supplies. Best Team > Hornets and a defending Hunter/Viking/Titan/Mammoth > Rail, Smoky, Freeze, Thunder Firebird is usually not a good combination in a team with a Freeze, since both special effects contradict each other. One freezes while another one defrosts. One burns while another one cools down. Gameplay Strategies: There is no real offense and defense to a Sandal game. It is usually best to attack all at the same time, and get as many flags as you can to maintain a lead. When you do have the lead, the best is to be mindful of where your opponents are and just attack without keeping them in range of grabbing your flag. Below, the diagram shows the ways in and out of a base. The variety of routes and camping spots greatly help you get away with the flag, but give you a disadvantage of being out in the open and vulnerable to being hit. Garder, a symmetrical map with an interesting 2 levels of gameplay gives players a concentrated area in focusing their action. The side ledges give both an advantage and disadvantage, but they are straight forward routes to take when getting to a flag. Advantages of Garder > Lots of hiding places, camping spots, etc. > Easy to see all teammates and enemies (unless hidden in a small tunnel) at a glance. > Short flag distances, can be made while one is killed and spawning. Disadvantages of Garder > Many obstacles in the middle make you either miss aim or drive slow while running across the map. > Only a couple of routes into one base, all of which can be covered by one camper. Best team > Freeze Hornets, and usually a Rail Hornet for long distance sniping. Freeze can do quite a bit of damage and is a great choice for defense with such little space to play with in this map. Gameplay Strategies: Again, this map is best played without official offense and defense positions although on Freeze or Rail should be near flag at all times. The routes on the sides and well as the middle can be used to swarm the enemy base and hopefully one tanker will make it out with the flag. Use the obstacles in the middle as cover, and stay away from the line of sight of enemies. -
Guide [Issue 12] Ten Ways to be a Successful Teammate
SpreadLoveNotHate replied to SpreadLoveNotHate in [Issue 12] Ten Ways to be a Successful Teammate Newspaper Archive
With the new team kick system in effect, it’s hard to stay in a battle when you are hated by the majority of your team. Many actions can lead to this effect, and when you do, you probably won’t be able to battle without being hated by your own team and consequently kicked. Being kicked can affect your ban log, which shows ‘Current Team Kick Karma: xx’ with xx being negative number showing the amount of times you’ve been kicked by fellow teammates out of a battle. This would gravely affect your account, it could lead to a ban or block depending on the severity of your other offences and your sabotage history. To help you avoid being kicked, here’s a useful guide with ten tips as to what you can do to be liked as a teammate (other than reckless drugging)! Never stay in a battle where you find yourself easy to be killed and difficult to kill others. If you have close to no kills if you’ve spent a lengthy period of time in the battle, it’s probably a good idea to move on. This may put you at the bottom of the list, a place where more players have the option to kick you. Battles with lower ranks might be less exciting, but you will be able to reach your full potential by killing lighter hulls. So, just be mindful of your contribution to the battle, and if you can’t contribute that much, just don’t stay. Some battles such as the ones with ranks are probably not the best for the ranks on the lower end. The higher ranks dislike that there are lower ranks in the battle and already oppose you in wanting you to leave. Attempt to coordinate and carry out attacks with your team in order to be successful in taking either more kills or flags, even controlling points. You have to understand that not everyone in your team might speak the same language as you, but it is worth a try, since numbers can make a significant difference when attacking. This will show that you’re actively trying to help your team come out victorious, which tankers like. Don’t block your teammates in any way. If you are trying to either protect them from an attack (which is ultimately heroic) or just blocking them from capping a flag, no one likes it and you would be either kicked or recorded and reported for multing. For Capture the Flag modes, don’t blind your vision and only focus on killing. The flag is most important, and the main goal is to grab the enemy’s flag and protect your own. If you make no attempts to try to help with protecting the flag, or helping a flag bearer for instance, they may think you aren’t trying to help them achieve their goal and kick you out. If you're not trying to help your team achieve something, then it is expected that teammates will dislike the amount of effort you are contributing. Avoid jumping for crystals. If you are that desperate for crystals, you might as well stand in their spawn spots. If you continue jumping, you often end up flipped in which many players would dislike. You're nothing but a dead weight blocking your teammates from attacking or defending a flag. If you would like to get crystals by staying right under, make sure you are not only being killed or just standing there. Contribute in as many ways as you can while you are crystal hunting, because it will definitely lower your potential in getting a better score. Be conscious of what you are picking up. Often, players dislike others with full health pick up a health kit when another teammate running at it has low health. The same thing occurs conscious there are two of one specific drug lying around and a player just picks up both when he only needed one. This is wasting the drops, in which can negatively affect your team and will limit your team's ability to perform well. Of course, you may think one or two drugs won't make a difference, but if a flag bearer barely misses a health and dies, the flag is at risk and all the hard work that the bearer has done is in vain. Choose your best combination to go into battle with. Even if you are attempting to try a weaker lower modification weapon (If you have M2 or higher), it probably isn't a good idea to choose a full blown battle to test it out in. People will notice it, and they will think you aren't trying your best to battle, which is against rules. Rule of thumb is, try your best in a battle with the best you can give. This will help you succeed in not only having a good placement in the battle but also a good reputation. One of the simplest but highly important things to do is to keep your teammates alive. If you have an isida, heal your teammates and support them with defending and attacking when necessary. If you are any other weapon, help clear all enemies out of sight to keep the drugging teammate, or just the one running towards/with the flag safe. Drug. Ok...title says without drugging and that's probably what I say in every battle I join. But, if you are close to a flag capture, the best thing to do is just put a double armor and a nitro, and cruise through your opponents. If the game depends on that one flag, it is probably a good idea to try to hold on to it and capture it to the best of your ability. Lastly, you need to get points. Even if you are trying your best, getting points is the only effective way of showing contribution to the team. If not, it is easiest to kick someone who has been in a game for over 5 minutes and have only gotten a minute amount of points. Well, those ten tips will hopefully make you more popular as a teammate. Hopefully, next time you're available for battling, people will be flooding your PM box to make you join their battle ^_^. If not, let's just aim at having a karma-less teamkick portion of the ban log! -
I lol'd. Great video pick. Doesn't have to have a topic of itself though ;)

Decrease number of trolls. -
No worries :) Here, just take a look at the top middle, where you see a smily face in the middle of a crosshair, it means that friendly fire is enabled. If you don't see that, it is not. To find this, just click on a battle and go to the right of your screen. Have fun and see you in the battlefield.

Here's a great 3 point answer if you are looking for ones that don't exclude people - Russian Community - English Community - German Community Man I'd be popular.

Maybe you can cut off the loading time, but it is a great video of gameplay! Also, I love your smiley going after the headless chicken with your signature.
