Okay, try this: Make sure the toolbox is open by pressing 'T' with the mouse inside the viewport until the side pane appears. Next, select the skybox, and go into edit mode, and select the entire cube. In the toolbox panel, under 'Shading and UVs' > 'Normals', click 'Flip direction'.
-
Go into edit mode, select the entire cube, press Cntrl + N and in the options box select 'Inside'.
-
In the material settings, enable transparency (It should be set to 0, I know, for the moment it will make the material invisible), next, go to texture settings under influence and check the checkbox next to 'transparency'. That should work.
-
To me it looks like the texture settings aren't set up to use the transparency from the textures in render mode properly. Could be some setting in the Image Sampling pane, or the Influence pane. A screenshot of the material and texture settings might help here.

Both arguments are the same exact things I've seen pushed by games that are no longer alive or just barely alive thanks to the developers zeal for money over playability. Just look at Dark Orbit, Need for Speed World, or any major online game that took the pay2win route way too far. Yes, Tanki is a business that needs money to survive, but it seems to have survived well enough before the developers added micro-upgrades, premium accounts, product kits, and other features to cater solely to the people who are too addicted to spend their money in any sort of reasonable fashion. Secondly, just because you don't have a premium currency doesn't mean everything's availible to a free player. It would be difficult to not see the fact that things in this game are clearly and intentionally priced beyond the range of free players. Product kits -- ~ 300K for M3 stuff, out of the range of anyone earning the crystals normally, but gives quite a deal for someone acquiring a large amount of crystals all at once, something only wallet warriors can do. Micro Upgrades -- The prices here are clearly absurd, and split into nice, easy to digest little segments, so your wallet warriors don't understand just how much they are really spending. Drug Kits -- Again, not designed for free players at all, and completely out of the price range for any free player under the rank of Generalissmo, it's obvious they are there to only benefit people who spend large amounts of cash for their crystals. Just look at Tanki as a company, it flourished and even grew under a much more even spender/free player balance for years, and now it's rotting under a clear and obvious pay2win system. Tanki isn't a game anymore, it's a cash cow. Every battle is based very little on skill and more on which side has spent the most. And the less free players you have, the less wallet warriors you have, it's generally a pretty even statistic across all mobile platforms that the major spenders are about 8% of your total population, so by driving your free players away, you're driving away your spenders as well.

That's the same rubbish pushed by just about every pay2win developer out there. Yes, it's "accessible", meaning, there isn't a "premium" currency option, but anyone can plainly see everything is priced in such a way that having any sort of actual even footing with someone who chooses to barf up the contents of their wallets in a completely absurd manner is clearly impossible. This game used to be fairly fun to play, now it's nothing but a thinly veiled attempt at getting people addicted so you can try to sell them worthless game points. In fact, this statement is such complete nonsense that even one single hull / turret / protection module fully upgraded isn't even in the realm of possibilty of being obtained be a free player anymore before reaching the maximum rank allowed by the game, which puts anyone who doesn't use their wallets as their main weapon at a severe disadvantage throughout the entire ranking process. It's clearly designed this way, and it's complete rubbish to try and push the point of view that the game is anywhere close to fair or even balanced for someone who isn't fighting with large amounts of dollar bills instead of actual gameplay ability.

Yeah, all of the above is free.

No, I use Blender to make the 3D stuff, Gimp or Krita to make the 2D.
-
Thanks, this was made with Blender. Awesome, best of luck to your future game making endeavors.

The grades before High School. Sorry, I don't follow Tanki writing that much, only usually when there's some fun drama. Thanks!
-
My math grades were awful in high school/middle school. Didn't stop me from making games at all. If you're looking for a writer, you really don't want me, the only writing I do is when I'm mocking stuff normally.
-
I started making games when I was about 11 or 12, so, age really isn't an excuse not to make games. If Unity is too much, download 'Game Develop' or 'Game Maker'. Beleive so, you've been making some nice logos recently
-
Why would you wait till you get older? Download Unity or something and you can get started right away.

I still have some projects I'm busy with, mainly a game I've been working on that I hope to post on Steam, but the user agreement keeps me from posting any of that here. Thank you very much! Here's something I drew out of boredom today:
-
Options: - Buy a car. - Feed yourself for a year. - Renovate the kitchen - Buy a sweet gaming rig. - MU a single tank/paint set. Dark Orbit was one of the first games to take Pay2Win to such insane levels. It worked for the developers for a few months, before they realised free players didn't enjoy being cannon fodder, and spenders didn't enjoy forking out enough cash to buy a car.
-
It started digital, got some details with pen, and then the photo got manipulated digitally again. So it's a combination of digital/hand drawn.

Thank you developers, for providing a way for people to dispose of bags and bags of unwanted cash, without the hassle of actually receiving stuff for your money. It just becomes such a problem getting real stuff when you spend money, you don't know where to store it, it collects dust, but thanks to Tanki Online, we can discard that unwanted money easier than flushing it down a toilet. Thank you devs!

[Issue 54] [Special] Newspaper Crystal Giveaway... with a twist!

@LaserShark @poop Annnnd... the joke: -
All games eventually get old. We need something to really freshen up the game and provide a new experience for all the old and new players. My idea will liven up the game and provide a new gaming experience, not only with respect to Tanki, but new to all games in general. Presenting... ...the head bonker. The head bonker is a device that sits behind your computer screen and enhances the everyday gaming experience beyond what is displayed on screen. This device truly captures the risk/reward scenarios that would be present in a real sporting or battle scenario. With every shot a competitor lands on your tank, the large mechanical arm swings out from behind the monitor and gives the player an engaging whack on the head. Not only does this serve to enhance the effect of taking damage, but dealing damage also becomes more entertaining. The knowledge that with every shot from your Twins, some guy halfway around the world (probably in Russia) is getting beat in the head with a large, foam hammer for every shot you land makes the gaming experience all that more worthwhile. The head bonker is what every modern gamer needs.

I would like it if the player had a gun that shot doughnuts, and every time an enemy gets hit with one of the dougnuts, he gets a little bit rounder and moves slower. Also for special ammunition you can use cakes or twinkies. For a rideable vehicle add unicorns, but instead of normal unicorns, these are super derpy unicorns. They fly a few feet off the ground, but when their legs brush against any of the terrain, they just kind of flop around. It defeats bad guys by impaling them with its horn. Add those.
