You know something's probably not right when people start leaving just so they can stay sane. I don't care about sanity, so I'm still here.

I think we need contests that take a lot of effort to enter. Make folks work for the crystal prizes. Things like real life tank modeling, carving, map-making, maybe a tank diorama contest. Paper cutting, sculpting, spray painting, make a tank out of wire, stuff like that. The caption contests and "describe this in 100 words or less" are great and all, but it's just not as much fun as making something with your hands. Maybe another great thing to have would be more articles based on things that can be related to Tanki, but don't have to be. Try art-making articles, or articles about things the writers have experience with in real life. Perhaps some of them have driven real tanks? Maybe some of them can give art tips? Maybe they can carve or sculpt, and have tips to share on that topic?

Maybe, perhaps that's why it was delayed a couple days, lots of uber-special stuff.

Being a guy, it would be a little weird, but for $1000, sure. Would you stock shelves for $10 an hour?

This is the first I'm hearing of this. Why would anyone do that? It seems completely unnecessary to me. He'll be the first space alien though.

Honestly I don't care which, I wouldn't even mind a model making contest or a photography contest. Just anything that doesn't involve writing.

I don't think it has a set time, it's just whenever they get done with it. Hope it's got lots of art contests. :D

Thing is, if people are playing the game legitimately, they are allowed to play the game as they wish. What ruins the fun is when people try to tell others how they must play. Games like this are here for fun, and fun alone.

What happened was NOT plagiarism, and was NOT illegal. Your talking about a stolen idea, news flash, ideas aren't protected under copyright law. Plagiarism is where people steal original text without citation.

As much as I enjoy good drama, the actual Tanki reporters have become sort of of a club now, and they seem to want nothing more than to be the only exclusive little club, so they did their best to take you out. I really wish you could pull yourselves together and create something better than the news clique currently in existence, I don't think it would be too hard. And if copying their ideas makes them mad, by all means, do it, and don't apologize. They did their damage already. Pull your team together, if your the leader you can't just sit by and watch, straighten them out. They're your crew, don't kick them, you can't just dispose of the ones you don't find preferable. If I could recommend anything, close this, start over, shed this thread. Get an artist to make the first post all pretty, re-name it something cool, like a real paper. Tell your crew what to do, give out assignments. Set deadlines. That's your job. Micro-manage the ones that can't manage themselves. Make logos, write about things you have actual experience in, do research. Get an artist to draw cartoons. Run contests. This could be much better than it is. Don't look to the reporters for inspiration, they aren't any standard to aspire to, look to actual, professional writers. Being like them is not good enough, be better. And when you get better than them, get even better. Make the Tanki reporters stare in pure envy. They relocated you to a little-visited section of the forums, own that, be the one thread that draws them in.

Your title makes it seem like you are joining the development team. That would be a career, this is not a career. Don't buy a kit until you can afford one with m3 stuff, and then that's what you'll be stuck with until you make enough to buy more kits.
