  1. I only had one exception but I think I'll remove that one since I don't know that player and we never talk. I only accept as friends players who either through a first friendly chat we got on the right foot or if it's someone from my clan.

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

Pressing "enter" works as well to exit the scope without having your shot fired. Shaft is so far the gun that gets me the highest score because I've been using it the most since the time I bought it when as a noob :P

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

But first I want to get M2 Mammoth. Camping is for the patient and enduring.

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

-_______- I know how to do it. The 1st time I did it it worked. But nowadays it doesn't work anymore. Thus giving barely any chance to opponent to react since by the time they see you out of your hiding spot they're already.dead ^ I just copied and pasted from you and it still came out like this. Get it?

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

I'd say shaft is a never-dying/never-effectiveness-loosing gun. It kings over all the other guns (in its same M) no matter its M. For me the only difference with each upgrade of the gun is its increase of turning speed, damage dealed, and reload time which makes it better by each upgrade. I still have M1 but once I get M2 it'll simply make me adore it even more than I already do :D

    Clans or Teams?

Well with my current combo I played many team battles in IC and also had a pretty good position in the stats in some of them ;)

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

Shaft's damage dealed to a tank is the same no matter the distance. Now the amount it'll damage depends on how long you charge it. I can kill close targets easily. It's just a matter of combining your movements and predicting your opponents movement. I aim ahead of the target and he simply drives in front of my cross-hair and by the time he does my gun is charged enough to either kill him or deal great damage where then a simply non-scoped shot will finish him off. My best stats was no D/L at all (aka immortality :P) 47 kills, 0 loss B) That might be your opinion but I'm a pro shaft sniper and with shaft is where I score the highest. "Shafting" is not just camping and waiting, it also requires high skills to anticipate your opponents moves thus knowing where to keep your cross-hair aimed while "eagle-eyeing" a specific spot/area. You're vulnerability is the highest of all guns since your angle of sight, though zoomed in closer to your opponent and easier to hit your target, it is much smaller than any other guns. It takes patience, total alert to your surroundings so you're not caught unawares, and, theoretically speaking, reading your opponents mind of where and how he moves....among much other explanations of which it would take me too much time to explain. ;)

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

One good advantage rail has is it's short delay of firing after you press spacebar. You can activate it while still hiding and come out right before the beam fires thus giving less chance of your opponent firing at you and making you miss your shot.

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

Yes I know. I always use mammoth with smoky.

But it's crits don't, no matter the distance.

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

For me size doesn't matter...if I can see it, I can kill it. I can even shoot at the tiniest microscopic revealing of a tank part.

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

Being an expert with shaft sniping...not for me. It's even easier because with the zoom you get with the scope you can easily see when tanks align. Many times I simply wait for 2 tanks that are close to each other to align or even a tank who's spawning in front of another...and BAM! 2 kills with one shot ;)

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

All guns' shots fire in a straight line and have their respective autoleveling. When a shaft or rail's shot is fired they'll hit and pierce the 1st target and end on the 2nd target hit. Both of their fire angles will be straight no matter your position and aim.

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

I have shaft since before various rebals and it never disappoints me. Shaft is my forte because since I bought it I have been using most of the time I play Tanki. You might think since this is coming from a much lower rank than you, you might suspect my shaft skills not so great but believe me...I wield this weapong like it's part of my own being :PBeing a shaft sniper requires great patience and perseverence. Thus, you must always anticipate your enemies' moves and react faster than they can blink. The turret's rotation and also tracking with your crosshair are quite slow movements so you have to then have a fast prediction and reflexes to make up for it. I get the most score with shaft.

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

I have both and both work fine with me ;)

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

In my opinion, since smoky deals a lower damage than the other long range guns, I'd say Mammoth is the best choice because it's not like you're gonna be sniping with it the same way you do with rail or even thunder so you don't really have to be hiding for reload since it has a fast reload. Also it's a matter of stability. The heavier the hull the less chance of getting your shot from missing the target when fired at. And last, but not least, while in the open firing at an enemy, hope you get crits as much as possible to beat him (in case of a higher damage gun).

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

Yeah I do that as well. Also save my teammates from getting shot at by firing at the opponents wheel tracks (or wtvr you call it) to make him miss his shot (easier done when scoped with shaft). Theoretically, a fast hull (hornet or wasp the best choices) because when sniping with rail you want to shoot and hide while it reloads before you can take your next shot and for that moving back and forth from your hiding/sniping spot speed is a lifesaver.

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

Your latter suspicion is correct, they where killing you with drugs.

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

Let us remember though, Shaft M2 deals 195 HP damage so only M0 mammoth (168 HP) gets killed in one shot. M1 mammoth has 200 HP. So unless you're using double power or the M1 mammoth was already damaged, you can't kill it in one shot...5 HP are still left ;)

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

But when it comes to CTF you wanna be the one taking the last shot just before the opponent gets destroyed by your team player...of which makes it a bit unfair for the other player who took most of the opponents health and you steal his kill and win the 10 XP ^_^
