The two are equal at M1, it all comes down to which one you prefer (speed vs health, etc). Wasp/Hornet M1 will last you until , no worries, but M2 Hornet unlocks far earlier than M2 Wasp. If you like speed and want to stick to only Wasp/Hornet, pick either hull and get Hornet M2 when you reach the rank for it (unlocks at ). Personally, I would go with Hornet M1 cause you won't have to wear Rail protection.
