Only get it if you have a lot of crystals for you rank, because if you don't, you will be getting more XP than your current crystals income. I've been using SMP for the past 3 months (I bought them all at full price) and it helps a ton, since I play DM a lot. Edit: Oh, so Shaft is on your wish list. In that case, I would just get Shaft, since it isn't very popular and it doesn't go on sale a lot. But I'm still sure that Valentine's will still be Fire -50% off, so depending on which one you like more (Fire or Shaft), get it.

I have Shaft M2 and here's the thing - Shaft M2 is a great weapon. You can one shot M2 Hunters, M2 Dictators, and M3 Hornets. The turret rotation is a huge jump from M1. In fact, back in December (when Tanki gave us a bunch of crystals for our current rank), I wanted it so bad that I bought it full price - 103K. I don't really regret doing it, but the biggest problem I have with Shaft is it's usability, e.g. you can equip Rail/Hornet and scroll through the battle list. Chances are, you'll find a lot of maps were Hornet/Raii is good. But if you equip a combo like Shaft/Viking, it's hard to find ideal conditions where Shaft will be useful (until the ability to change weapons during a battle is released). So, I would say that Shaft is a good secondary weapon, e.g. if you're bored of your primary combo, Shaft is a good alternative. I'm going to assume that you want Fire M2, so I would recommend you wait for Valentine's Day. I'm pretty sure it's going to be Firebird again. Also, what other turrets/hulls are you planning on getting?

Pass? Awww, well I like it ;) And Canyon isn't so bad, but I see how it can be annoying. And Opposition should stay too. I played it once on the test server, and it's a decent map for drug wars.

How much crystals do you have and what's your current garage?

When is Tanki birthday? Also, I remember there was also a sale where for one week, every day a different weapon would go on sale

Depends on how much you want Thunder. I would go ahead and just get Rail, since sales don't happen too often.

What I mean is that if you compare M0 Rail to M0 hulls, M1 Rail to M1 hulls, etc... M1 Rail is the best. M3 Rail can't kill a M3 Mammoth in 2 shots.

M1 Rail is definitely better (It is the strongest modification of Rail). It can take down all other hulls of the same modification within 2 shots. M1 Shaft is ok-ish, but the rotation is really slow. At M2 it gets a lot better.

Uh, Thunder is better at close range. Rail is better at long range

I have Rail, Shaft and Twins. You can still get Shaft, if you like to one shot Hunters and Hornets. Also, a note on Twins - only get it if you like Poly or Silence. In other maps, Twins isn't the greatest
