This isn't declined, the idea itself is valid but this has been suggested(partially) in other topics and is, hence not a completely original idea. The concept of keeping the merge tag is to promote discussion in a, somewhat approached topic and choose whether to keep it open if discussion is contributing enough.

There are a few other ways we can actually use to do that. Players are reducing day by day, and XP/BP is no exception. Maybe after a while, this format might die down enough for us to actually include precursor format periods for new format players, in which new players spend a month or two undergoing training and receive the entire xp/bp battle list upon passing it.

Topic Merged. Interesting idea. I would like some more detail if you want to keep it as a separate topic, but what I want to shed some light on is why XP/BP isn't available for MM. MM is basically the escapegoat for anyone who doesn't like to wait too much, or play too competitively. XP/BP is a professional format for professional players, and introducing it to MM would create an influx of, not so skilled users who would pretty much destroy the already successful professional formats, which includes XP/BP.

We don't "defend" game updates. We simply state the facts as they are, without having to choose a side. Moderators are closer to the players than they are to the administration, I don't see where we didn't make that clear. As for violation of rules without consequence, this aspect is entirely non-existent. If you yourself find a moderator violating the game rules, you have the right to file a complaint about it to their respective administrator/s. Our function is to assist and guide players regardless of whatever they have done in the past, being rude isn't something we do, and you must know the difference between arrogance and prejudice.

It would be highly anti-climatic if Maf actually showed up and just went "hello, is it me you're looking for, I can see it in your eyes" and he'd close the topic without finishing the verse because duh, this is Maf we're talking about.
