It is actually more pricey to purchase Micro Upgrades, as it gives you access to a parameter that you technically should not have until you have reached a particular rank. So that's basically the hand off. You may have something early, and having that little bit more of damage, per say, could help you rank up significantly faster, but it will cost you more in the long run than simply purchasing a turret or hull one modification at a time. Hey mate, just thought we ought to have a quick chat here. Ya see, I'm that chap who gives out bans, and you saying that you have some almighty influence to get others bans is just... No. Don't go around saying stuff you can't back up, or things that you'll regret later cause suddenly you'll be the fellow pegged with a ban. Also, you don't even understand what flaming is, let alone your ability to comprehend words in a simple concersation. I don't know how you were put in charge, but you haven't the skill or understanding to be in a leadership position in my opinion. And to that guy that called Tony a ten year old - You seriously shouldn't do that, it's an insult to ten year olds everywhere.

Well, basically, my real life became totally awesome, more so than it was before. And my Tanki life also became totally awesome, more so than before. I only have so much time, and nowadays I devote most of it to the community. Playing takes second place to working. I could theoretically get online and play any time I so please, but no matter when I play, my account would be just the same as it was the last time I used it. Whereas the community is continually evolving, and thusly, needs constant attention.

There is no such third-party software in existence, as it wouldn't be changing a small variable in a battle, but changing a big component that the developers have well locked down. I think you've also forgotten how long it takes to rank up. Your estimates are off, even if it was some intense time devotion to the matter.

I do believe such information is possessed by the developers. Presuming that is true, one could attempt to gain the exact information from tech support...
