Rail - most popular gun, for good reason Hornet - versatile hull, best for support/capturing flags Freeze - better on offense IMO after the recent update, which makes the freeze effect apply mostly to turrets instead of slowing the enemy down in movement speed Dictator - sucks until M2, where it is then passed by M3 Viking. However, is a total beast at M3. Isida - fast exp, best for team battles. Don't use it in DM; unless constantly on drugs you will always get rekt by long range turrets.

While personally like Thunder M3, I would go for getting Option 4 since you get a new M3 hull and turret. If you like quick experience, see my two above posts. :) Of course, that strategy is assuming that there are going to be a bunch of Wasps/Hornets who are willing to stick around to be constant cannon fodder for you, meaning large amounts of players (not good for small maps like Sandbox, Island, etc.).

Railgun is popular because when two, three, or four shot hit someone, ESPECIALLY when they are all on double power, almost nothing survives unless the target has a high rail-protection paint and double armor, and probably a well timed health pack too. I would tell you that M2 Smoky will not be a bad choice in the slightest. Even with the reduced crit damage now, the overall speed and damage that it can put out can wreck face in any match (unless you are up against peeps hiding under Needle :ph34r: ). I use thunder a lot, even now with it's slower recharge speed, mainly because it can one-shot an M3 Hornet (after a few MUs) when on double power. That means lots of kills, lots of exp, and lots of crystals!

Thunder M3 now one-shots Hornet M3 when on double power (and MUed a little bit). Do I need to say any more?

Should I, when there is a 50% sale on Twins and Titan at the same time, enter a Gissmo battle with M0 of both and then upgrade to M2 Titan and M3 Twins just for the fun of it in the middle of the battle? I'm thinking it will put a stopper in the mouths of the people yelling "mult" at me up until that point. :ph34r: What do you guys think?

I believe that User ooo_KEHT_ooo has hacked the garage, unless there is a kit unbeknownst to me. The kit I currently have available to me (and I am the same rank as him/her) is the Guardian kit, with Smoky M3/Titan M3/Nano. He/she had Dictator M3 at the Marshall rank, which unlocks at Generalissimo, and the Picasso paint, which normally unlocks at the Commander rank. I have 185k crystals now, and am wondering what I should get during the next decent sale. I already have Thunder, Isida, and Hornet at M3, and I am deciding what to get. My options are Viking M3, Rail M3, or Shaft M2 then M3. I have Rustle and Tundra, so I am not too worried about paints for now, maybe in a rank or two. What would you recommend that I get and WHY? I was playing in Noise on the blue team, Rocket 0987 was on red. Rocket0987 claimed that he had hacked all the accounts of the blue team and that they were going to be wiped clean within 24 hours. I forgot to screenshot, but I do not want to lose my rank and garage if he was telling the truth. I don't know if you can act on this information, but at least it can be a heads up if it actually happens.

I would like to see something about the dev's thoughts on creating a battlestyle with more than two teams. For instance, large maps like Dusseldorf and Kungur could easily handle a Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow team. Each would have their own base, own respawn points. Obviously this format would work well with TDM and CTF, and possibly CP. Could something like this be in the works, or is it not a concern at this point in time? P.S. Is this relevant for this topic or should it be posted in Ideas and Suggestions?

I did much the same as you. I bought Thunder M3 and Viking M2. However, I also bought Hornet M3 instead of my other option which was Savanna, not Emerald. I have already got Rustle, so Emerald would have been a waste at this point in time. I was only looking at Savanna for it's Smoky 40% protection. I now have only 13,000 crystals left, and I am going to use them to MU my Isida and Thunder. Which are both M3, just like you have! :D I would save for M3 Viking, which I will get as soon as I can. I also am planning on getting Rail M3 ASAP too, which is fine because Viking and Rail each unlock their M3's in the next two ranks for me!

When heavily upgrading an M3 with MU's during the 50% off MU Day for the sale, is it worth it to use the speed ups? I am also buying M3 Hornet and M2&M3 Thunder, so I won't have too many crystals left over to MU with. I will have Isida, Thunder, and Hornet at M3, with Isida already having at least 2 MUs on every category. So... 1. Is it worth it to use speed ups? 2. What should I MU (Isida, Thunder, Hornet)?

That depends. Do you end up getting close to others when you use Thunder or not? If you do, go with Rustle. If not, go with Savanna.

1. You already have a long ranged turret in Railgun. Hammer needs to be paired with a hull that is stable AND mobile, so it would not work for your current hulls. And you already have decent short range turrets. I would recommend Thunder M3. 2. I would say Hornet M3, but Viking M2 comes in a close second. Hornet can be used effectively with all of your turrets, but Viking is even more versatile (it could also handle Hammer M2 if you decided to go that route). However, getting an M3 hull is important. 3. It depends. If you like going up close and personal, in other words attacking head on, go for Irbis. If you prefer to stay slightly back and provide cover fire, go with Emerald. Don't overlook Savanna, however. 40% against Smoky can be very helpful, but only get it if Smoky players are constantly a problem for you.

OK, I am facing a new dilemma. I have some Christmas decisions to make. I currently have about 287,000 crystals. Here are my options: 1. Get Hornet M3 and Upgrade my M1 Thunder to M3 2. Get Hornet M3 and Savanna and MU my Isida M3 3. Get Hornet M3 and MU both Hornet M3 and my Isida M3 4. Get Hornet M3 and Shaft M3 5. Get Hornet M3 and slightly MU Hornet M3 and Isida M3, saving some crystals for Railgun M3 when I get to it 6. Get Hornet M3 and wait for another M3 kit to come out To help with your advice I like to play as follows: - Play mostly CTF - Play mostly on the maps Silence, Serpuhov, Kungur, Rio - Use Tundra and Rustle as primary paints - Have Dictator M2 as my heavier hull for defense - Usually best at support (hence Isida M3) - I use Railgun a lot too, and sometimes Firebird Which of the six options should I go with during the sales? No. If you aim nearer to the turret of a tank instead of the main body, now it will Auto-Aim at the turret. Can be deadly with shaft, but rail also can cause flips as well.

I see twins as mostly used in defending the flag during CTF, or during DM. In both play styles, on a heavy or medium hull. I dont like it very much.

M2 Smoky is one of the most OP turrets in the game. However, unlocking M3 Thunder would allow you to start MUing it. I do not like to MU anything that is not M3, just because it has at least one more M to go. Both are good turrets, but with Hornet and Hunter I would go with Thunder because those hulls have more maneuverability, and I like a strong amount of HP when I use Smoky.

If you don't do what Kirby suggested (which I do too), get another M2 turret, maybe fire or freeze for an area of effect, since you said you like attacking. Or get a good paint that protects against whatever most annoys you when you play. just my opinion :D

I just ranked to Major General today, and I now have access to both Hornet M3 and Emerald. I have 120,000 crystals, which is enough to buy one of them at half price during the Christmas Sale. I usually play with Railgun or Isida or Firebird on my Hornet. I also use Tundra and Rustle as my primary paints. Which should I get, Emerald or Hornet M3?

This is my first account, so I had to experiment with everything. My garage consists of: M0 - Firebird, Freeze, Twins, Ricochet, Smoky, Wasp, Hunter, Dictator, Titan M1 - Thunder, Railgun, Shaft, Viking Mammoth M2 - Isida, Hornet Paints - Moonwalker, Traceur, In Love, Alien, Swash, Tundra Now, my favorite combos are Hornet, with either Isida or Railgun. I almost always have Tundra equipped now for its Railgun protection. I know that I have a lot of unneeded stuff, but as I said earlier, I need to try everything out as this is my first Tanki account. During the Christmas sale, I got my Isida and Hornet. Since then, I have not been able to play very much, and have bounced back to about 30.5k crystals thus far. I like to play on Silence, Massacre, Serpuhov, and Barda. I typically like to use Isida on Silence and Barda, and Railgun on all of them. I most ofter play CTF, sometimes TDM, and almost never DM. Lastly, I am about half of the way through First Lieutenant and do not buy crystals. What should be my next goal, getting a different M2, or starting to save for an M3? Is there a specific paint that I should look at getting? Also, With my playing style, is there any recommendation as to how I should go about doing so? Should I use different combos or paints, or should I continue doing what I am currently doing? (I know I have wasted crystals, so don't bother telling me so. Thanks.)

If I was unable to access a computer for one of the days and therefore unable to get one of the toys, is there a way I can get it? I really would like to not miss the prize because I was unable to get to a computer.

I have been using a laptop where the Pg Up/Pg Dn keys are in the upper right corner, far away from the arrow keys, and I had no idea that I could use the Q and E keys for the camera as well! Thanks for the help. ^_^
