    Let's Discuss Shot Effects!

Yeah, I considered that. I did some testing on Black Friday by opening 200 containers. How many do you think I got? 2. Do you think that's fair? Even to the buyers? I personally don't. You said that with luck, players should receive nine shot effects, and that it's unlikely that someone will get one from each turret. Well, let me tell you just how unlikely it is. People from the RU community have told me that the drop formula specifically gave them shot effects for turrets they didn't use and that none of them - that is, nada - were for their primary, secondary, or tertiary turrets. If your statement was true, I'd lose the replayability of TO very quickly. You can see that I main Shaft, and having just a Violet shot effect for the rest of your life doesn't make me a happy man.

    Let's Discuss Shot Effects!

The drop rates for shot effects are utterly pathetic. Anyone disagree?

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

I'd say a huge recoil increase would do the trick. Not only will it be harder to hit their shots faster, but we will now have the chance to flip them with a well times shot.
  4. I'd like to ask why turrets/hulls/modules/paints are ordered by hours played instead of experience earned. Wouldn't it make more sense to have it the other way around? As we all know, some of us are best with a select amount of turrets while we also fail terribly with others. Look at my profile. You'll see that I have a very good XP/time ratio with Shaft than Railgun (because for four years I thought I was the next Lankbouv). I still can't use Railgun properly, and I'd feel much better if Ricochet took the number 2 spot on my profile faster than it would with hours played. The same goes for paints. Urban is my all-time favorite, and it doesn't make sense to me why Traceur should be ahead (not hating on Traceur, it's the best classic paint out there). What do you think, though? Should it remain the way it is? In the end, it's not the amount of hours we put into the game that determines our rank. It's the XP we earn.

The animated version is pretty cool, not gonna lie. Although it kinda does look like a stop sign while you're in a car traveling at 300 km/h :D

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

Sledgehammer is still basking in its glory? I've been seeing less and less of them everywhere I go. It doesn't make sense why SCCM would have the same amount of shots as stock Thunder. Very strange. The reason why Duplet even became a fad in the first place was because you could pump those shots out faster than you could blink. It doesn't matter how many times they nerf the reload speed, it's the double-barreled mechanic that needs to be reworked. The same goes for RFM. A nerf on sniping won't do anything to ease the situation. Instead, they've just encouraged people even more to only spam arcades. High-Capacity Ammo Clip - or, as I like to call it, Extended Clip, is my favorite Hammer alt alongside Slugger. I remember the old days in which you would combine the two and have so much fun on Polygon. Regardless, I still don't see very many EC users. And in my career, I haven't seen one Hammer that utilizes Adaptive Reload (although Berserk Ricochets are on the rise) I hope to God they buff Light Capacitors. My interest in it is starting to wane just a little bit.

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

Thanks man! Yeah, the spool up time really is key when it comes to getting those kills, especially on smaller maps. I personally think that those crystals I spent on SSR were well worth it. It's actually not even that hard to reach the score limit in DM...

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

It's just another example of the devs picking favorites. Honestly, I feel like they're giving RFM and Duplet those 15 minutes of fame now, because they're going to get butchered in the next balance update. Good riddance if they do.

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

SSR is godly for DM. You need the fastest reaction time in order to win gunfights, and everyone will expect you to spool up for at least a couple of seconds. Other than that, I guess you can take it out if you want higher damage. I never have problems with damage though - even if the TTK is slower.

What to buy? Which is better?

Thanks for the quick response. I've now decided what I'm going to do. Due to overwhelming support for Mammoth, I'll be getting the Destroyer kit and then the Falcon and Griffin modules. Thanks for everyones' suggestions. You guys really helped me out.

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

Why are we all discussing those OP alts instead of the ones which should be getting more credit? Light Capacitors is just so good with Hornet. No joke, it's my favourite Shaft alteration. The high speed of Hornet along with its pristine turning speed and drift allows you to 360 quickscope people. Pair that with a great camo paint like Urban and you've got a ghillie snipers that resembles Captain MacMillan. But why do people not even use this alteration? It's simple. The damage reduction is pretty big and the wobble of the scope is almost unbearable. People call this the worst Shaft alteration, and I can see why. It needs a buff. Hell, I can do without those 30%. If the wobble was reduced/removed and the speed increase was added for vertical movement in sniping mode, that alone would make me happy enough.

I think you've misinterpreted me. The three kits that I mentioned were the only ones that would benefit me wholesale. I didn't reject Ant or Boreas at all. In fact, I love Wasp as much as the next guy. Would you mind if I asked you to name a Wasp kit and then two M3 things? I'm sorry to take a bit more of your time, but I would appreciate it immensely. Thanks!

What to buy? Which is better?

This is a question that will be quite hard to answer. Be warned :D I'm planning to get some new M3s on Tanker's Day. Here's the thing, I'll need your best judgement to help me on this one. Here's what I have to play around with: Enough crystals to buy 2 M3 Turrets/Hulls/Modules (excluding Smoky (5/10 going to 6 as we speak), Railgun (I hate Rail even though I used it for years...), Titan (8/10 going to 9 as we speak), and (Firebird, Hammer, Ricochet, Smoky, Striker, Vulcan, Thunder, Gauss, and Shaft) protection). I'm thinking of getting Twins and the respective Twins module. Then, I have some Tankoins to play around with. Actually, not some, 9200. On the sales, I'm expecting a half-price reduction in the costs of product kits, which means I'll be able to add one more turret, hull and module to my collection. I'll spend the rest of my TKs on Batteries. I've analyzed all of the product kits and thrown out the ones that will not benefit me at all: Ant (Wasp-Isida M3, Ocelot M3) Boreas (Wasp-Freeze M3, Badger M3) Bertha (Mammoth-Magnum M3, Griffin M3) If you think that I shouldn't buy Twins along with its protection: Destroyer (Mammoth-Twins M3, Panther M3) Me stopping my upgrades on Titan or Smoky is out of the question. Sorry guys, I'm simply not gonna. And you know that I don't want Railgun. If anyone can come up with a good response that will convince me to do as they say  , consider yourself invited to my rankup. Rank spread Lieutenant General - Legend. Lots of golds. Thanks for reading...if you did read, and please help me out for probably this last time on this account. Tide out.

What to buy? Which is better?

Hey there, and thanks for coming to us to discuss what are possibly two of the best kits in the game. Let's take a look at Juggler. Ricochet M2 is a pretty good upgrade from M1, and the speed at which the projectiles travel with MFS is very fast. This will allow you to compete even at medium ranges against other turrets like Smoky and Thunder. It's ricochet ability is very deadly once you have mastered, and it's overall just a really fun turret to use. The problem with this turret is that protection modules will be widespread. And I mean everywhere. People buy Boar and Juggler, which is how they get the M2 Lion module into their hands so early. And believe me, your time to kill will increase drastically if you go up against someone with modules. This is the only complaint I have about Ricochet. As for the module, it will help you quite a bit in DMs as you will see a lot of Ricochets there. Solid 8/10 turret. Now, Chiro. Shaft M2 is a huge upgrade from M1, and the damage it puts out in sniping mode is unparalleled. Combined with its arcade shots, you'll pretty much be able to fight at all ranges provided you have a stable hull and good protection modules. The hull this kit gives is Hunter, which is ideal for those instances where you're surrounded by enemies and would otherwise have no escape. If you are even a semi-competent sniper, you will quickly master this god gun and learn when to switch between firing modes. Although it may not be as fun as Thunder, it will grow on you soon enough. What's probably the best part about this turret is that protection modules at your rank spread will be almost nonexistent. Since you already have Short-bands, you'll easily transition into the role of a marksman - devastating two shot kill potential against medium hulls with arcade shots and DD. The damage will be enough to one shot even M1 light hulls. Paired with Hunter's EMP, it's a perfect kit. From there on, you have five paths to choose. You can keep using Short-bands and be an effective marksman on the frontlines, locking down objectives by yourself. You can revert back to stock Shaft and ditch the longer reload in arcade shots. You can opt for Heavy Capacitors to take out big targets, especially in JGR. Or you can change up your approach entirely and become a sniping god with Light Capacitors and Hornet. Then there's Rapid-fire mode... no explanation needed :) Finally, Shaft M2 is quite a late unlock if purchased separately - all the way at Major. You'll save yourself a lot of time if you buy this turret 4 ranks ahead of its unlock. Shaft opens up your possibilities like no other turret. They all have specific roles - you can't make Firebirds snipe or Vulcan plow through enemies at close range - but Shaft is the one that has no bad alterations. You'll find something that works for you specifically. Trust me on that note. The Eagle module that you get with the purchase of the kit will help you immensely, allowing you to survive would have otherwise been a one-shot kill. This is a kit that deserves the 10/10 from me and many others - no doubt. I know I'm late to the party, but I do hope I convince you to reconsider buying Juggler and instead invest in Chiro. And thanks for coming here. A lot of us make the mistake of buying something and then regretting it later on. Tide out.

The stupidest sight in tanki today

I can beat this. I want you to tell me what is wrong with this picture. You've probably already figured it out, but this Mammoth and aris are both using Shaft. Of course, that's not stupid at all. What is stupid is the alterations they were using vs the playstyle they adopted. The Mammoth is sitting in the back camping...with Light Capacitors. In a TDM. When no one will even bother to come all this way to hurt him. Why is he deliberately using an alteration that cuts down his sniping damage? Does he want to get kills or to get a big fat juicy hitmarker? Don't even get me started on his use of an Isida module. aris, on the other hand, decided to hunt down the big targets with an alteration that makes Shaft even slower than it already is... with Wasp. And he actually went on the offensive. With not even a Wasp M3, no no no... a Wasp M0. Even his modules won't help that much. He went with the lightest hull in the game and tried to snipe on the frontlines with Heavy Capacitors. And he wonders why he went 0-12.

What to buy? Which is better?

For the price, Hyperspace is underwhelming. It's really only good for rankups, but then again, all you really need is Shell Stabilization and the Booster drone to guarantee your kills. Just go for the rank and get either one of these modules. For me, it's a three-way tie between the Smoky, Shaft, and Gauss modules. They are just so useful in DMs, and although the Freeze module can help, i just really don't see them that often anyways. Your choice.

The stupidest sight in tanki today

Kinda vague. Do you have 35% of health left or the module at M3? An M2 Eagle module will cancel out the Heavy Capacitors. I guess if you don’t have it, then it’s not my problem. Shaft is meant to be a sniper. By maximizing damage in sniping mode, we confirm our kills but lose the ability of going out into the open to expose ourselves. Unless you don’t use Heavy Capacitors and camp.
