Railgun with hornet would be good on both of those maps I think :)
-
I wouldn't worry too much about paints yet, they dont make a huge difference. I would go for m1 smoky :)
-
Yeaaaaaa :)
-
Don't buy anything without at least a 50% sale :) Try a few things out, best to stick with Thunder, Smoky or something like that - they are good and they will improve your shooting and aiming skills, knocking off aim and utilising splash ;)
-
Something like that yes. The first MU levels are the most cost efficient :)
-
MUs make a HUGE difference in some cases. Thunders damage rate increases by 50% between M3 and M4. Definitely doing at least a few of these will help. I would.. Get some m3s, MU them a little, and proceed to get more M3s etc

Review [Issue 26] [Comparison] Smoky or Thunder?
Pathfinder replied to Pathfinder in Newspaper Archive
I can kinda see what you're trying to say, that is when a Thunder presses the space bar there's a slight window where you might get in before and hit him. But honestly, I think you're over thinking it. You cannot use specific situations to emphasise when a Smoky's ability may be better than thunders in that situation. You say 'guerrilla tactics' 'negates thunders range advantage in most cases'. Well actually, I could quite easily say the opposite :p That is Thunder users can also use guerrilla tactics to neutralise the impact force of a smoky, and this would be even easier due to the more effective range. Furthermore, when you talk about the prediction of when to shoot etc, you're oversimplifying to a basic open scenario, one on one. In reality this is completely different - if I were a thunder user I would find cover, and shoot out only when I'm ready to fire. This would mean you could only hit me as many times as I hit you: i deal more damage. If you wanted to do the same? Splash means it wouldn't be as easy for you to try and find cover. Anyway, I think you're overthinking things, and a lot of your arguments are based on things like ''most thunders will hold their space bars' and 'thunder users are not clever enough...'. You're pretty much assuming that a Thunder is going to play into your hands - you are assuming that a thunder will not be clever or skilled enough in the first place, which is hardly fair when comparing two weapons. I could use your same logic that one on one definitely Smoky beats a Railgun right? When he lights up you fire? Would you also say that Smoky is better than rail? You can't use situations like these to illustrate your apparent strategy where you initially said 'thunder could never hit it'. Anyway, I think you should take on a more open minded view - there is a reason why many of the top players play with thunder and how they do so well. You might be very skilled with smoky, but you definitley can't make a blanket statement that smoky is better than thunder. They are very different weapons. -
I won't be micro upgrading this time, but thanks again for another sale!

All the ranks are pretty good :) Though the 'Commander' rank doesn't actually rank above Marshal in real life
-
Fire M2 and Viking M3. Unfortunately I wasn't the rank for Smoky M3, and I had Twins M3 already :P
-
@@Baasil I don't rate swash :P @@flashruler3 Attacking I'd take a medium hull which is a good balance of speed and health, maybe Viking. Having said that, on large maps, you may want something faster. Then pretty much every weapon is useable I think, but again map dependent. On smaller maps, something like Fire/Freeze/Isida/Twins/Rico/Smoky, on larger maps Smoky/Thunder and Rail may be usable. SHaft never @@Rouge75 most weapons are great at the rank they unlock but as you rank they become worse - Railgun would be good with your hornet :) @@fluctuation123 hunter and Viking both great with thunder, the traditional one is Viking, which is the one I'd prefer. But if you're playing on a slightly larger map maybe hunter. Certainly at m2 Viking is better.

#Asianinvasion can't type Chinese here at school, but ni hao!

Thanks for all the feedback guys! A lot of the time, people just sit in the same spot with shaft, and it's not too bad to deal with. But I actually think shaft takes a lot of skill to use very well. The difference is very noticeable when you come up against a very skilled shaft, and I would use @HappyNding4U as an example :p

The game is over five years old don't forget :p It's like claiming that you invented.. I don't know, killing while doing some somersault, or claiming you started XP because you've never seen anyone play hornet-rail games before :p But, if you're a keen 'parkour-fighter', I'd find that interesting and would interview you :) PM?
-
The 'inventor of parkour-fighting' I'm not sure you can claim that :P
