Who's The Better Photographer? | Yisroel.Rabin & ldea
Yisroel.Rabin replied to Yisroel.Rabin in Archive
Oh boy, where do I start? Okey, I might as well put it out there first: I'm stopping the votes now, and by "now" I mean when you're winning. I don't want you to start complaining that I stopped it when I was winning, so I'm stopping it now, when you are. It makes no difference to me anyways, as you'll soon see why. Next, before I jump into things, I'd like to point out that I will try to stay as formal as possible throughout this post, as it is only appropriate for me to do so. I don't want arguments, I don't want fights, I want to state my point and then I want it to be over. Comments won't be replied to (by me) unless I feel I am being challenged by the apposing side, or being accused for false actions. Even then, I will try to keep my replies brief and to the point, all in an effort not to add fuel to the fire. Final statistics before votes stopped. Yisroel.Rabin | 42 [47.19%] ldea | 47 [52.81%] I started this vote as a fun competition we were meant to have. You challenged me in a Silence Parkour battle we met up in. You said your a much better (Tanki) photographer than me. I politely disagreed, and we moved it to Skype. There we showed each other screenshots we each took and said (paraphrasing here) "look, clearly mine are better than yours." It wasn't meant as a boast, a roast, or a toast. We were having a fun little argument and since we couldn't agree on who was better, we decided to ask the players for their opinions. I brought forth the suggestion that we should each collect what we thought were our 15 best pictures, and we'd put them into separate respective albums and ship it off. You brought up the point numerous times (on Skype, as well as here I believe) that people would simply vote for me because I was Yisroel.Rabin, the popular crazy guy on the forum. Right then and there I knew you'd have trouble if I did win, and would use that as an excuse for your loss. However, I simply told you that I'd put a disclaimer, asking people to choose between us fairly, and that was really all I am and was able to do. We agreed quite a few times that we'd be fair. We'd let it all in the hands of the players, and that's it. The votes began rolling in. I was winning, then we were tied, then you were winning. It was varying, which I found perfectly normal. Eventually however, I found more people voting for me, and especially (even until now), more comments here supporting me than you. You suddenly picked up speed, you were getting close to 3 votes per day, and just recently you got 15 in less than 3 hours, but we'll get to that later. It doesn't sound big, but at the pace that this thing is running, it's tremendous. I asked you if you were sharing the link with others, and telling them to vote for you. You admitted that you shared the link on your social media (where you claimed to only have 3 Tanki friends). You didn't tell me who, I didn't really need to know who either. I'll admit, I was sharing the link too, mainly around Skype. I just counted, I posted it on Skype around 5 times in regard to voting and giving their support. However, I stressed that I wanted them to vote for whoever they thought was the better photographer. I told them to be honest, I told them to be fair. Not many voted for me, actually. Most didn't vote at all, and some actually voted for you (honestly, and not just to troll me). The votes were still weird though. I would check back every so often to see how things were going. I was ahead of you, and then a few minutes later, you somehow tied with me. I was becoming suspicious, but didn't mention it to you privately or call you out here, because I didn't want to excuse you wrongfully, and for sure not publicly. That could've be bad for both of us. I was speaking to others about other matters. Some about work (newspaper issues), some about pics, some about rank ups, some about this. Quite a few people told me, and I do have evidence, which I shall apply in a bit, that you asked them to either vote for you, or, in some extreme cases, to vote for you with their alts as well. One such incident was with a player by the name of Rose_Quartz (or Fluffy_Puppy). She PMed me, asking me to take pictures of her rank up. The PM escalated, I told her that I might not be able to make it to her rank up to take pics (as she scheduled it for 3 AM my time), and that she should ask you to take the pics instead. She replied with this. The blocked out parts were about the rank up and irrelevant. Oh, so you asked her to vote for you with her alternative accounts, did you? You asked her... After we agreed to play fair, and after you actually accused me of using my alt to vote for myself, which, by the way, I didn't, as I told you. What happened after that? Well, this... After that, we changed the subject, and moved on to less childish matters. We never mentioned you again (regarding this). Now, I'm not going to bring proof for every person who told me that you asked them to vote for you, even if that really just makes me look like I don't have any. It's simply a waste of time (this whole post is, technically), and I can always apply more proof if need be. Also note, before I move on to how I personally feel about this whole situation, I'd like to add that you violated a couple of rules along the way. I cannot get you banned for them, and even I was able to, I wouldn't, but just know that sharing accounts is against the rules, and because you were so desperate to obtain votes, you could've gotten yourself, as well as another persons' account(s) blocked. Moving on. I was debating with myself for quite some time as to whether I should stop the votes, or hide the topic, or expose you. I was thinking to just let it continue, and let you keep fishing for votes from people who don't even know me, and definitely won't look at my album and make a fair vote. Because in the end of the day, who really cares what the numbers say? Oh yes, apparently you. I stopped spreading the topic and asking people to vote (again, not for me, but fairly). Instead, I just watched as my votes climbed, and your votes magically caught up. I asked friends as to what I should do. Many were saying I should bust you, but I was still unsure. It isn't good for both our public images if I expose you. It creates drama, which is a very bad thing, for both parties. The irony here. What got me today was this. I checked the votes, I was winning 40 to 35. I was satisfied that I somehow was winning, even with your friends and alts voting for you repeatedly. I didn't check it for some while, but 2 hours later I checked it again, and you magically had 49 votes. You got a total of 14 votes in 2 hours or less. That's literally insane for the pace we were moving at. The max we got was 3 or so a day, as I said above. I decided it was too much, hence this post. I am personally disgusted by the behaviour you've displayed. You're around 5 years older than me, you should be the mature one out of the two of us. Maybe it'd be excusable if you were 5 years younger than me, but you aren't. You're acting a like a little child desperate for candy. What do you gain from the numbers displayed on your screen if you know they're rigged? You know better than me about how many people you've told to vote for you, and you know that if you hadn't asked them to vote for you, you'd be well out of the race at this point, so why is it satisfying you? Why do you keep doing it? So what do you gain? You gain that the public thinks you're a better photographer because you have more votes? Why should trickery please you? The community sees the numbers and sees you have more, they see "you're the better photographer." Why should that matter if you know the numbers are wrong. You may be fooling others, but you aren't fooling yourself, or for that matter, me. It's immature and it's embarrassing to see an adult act in such a manner. A guy, over the age of 20, to go around asking for votes on a video game forum poll, is absolutely despicable and should be a reminder to all that weird things happen in this world. I'm sorry if this caused you any harm, but I've held off long enough. Be wiser next time. Rabin -

Funny, how ldea jumped from 35 to 48 in less than two hours. -
I'd prefer you simply called me Yisroel, or President Yisroel. Thanks. And now, this is a project of our Administration, but isn't our Administration, hence it stands in a smaller topic, as appose to our main page / topic. Also, my advertising is great. :lol:

Cedric and Hazel are the reasons my attempt to make Tanki great again won't work? Why? Don't they want a great game?

@RIDDLER_8 shall rise!

Beautifully put. Bring a prediction with no backing nor reasoning.

Sorry. Maf doesn't meet the standard of noobness the newspaper reporters have set for themselves. #MakeTankiGreatAgain :D

That was my first rank up with the animation. Every rank up before that had no animation. xD -
If you truly are perfect, you're an exception, but as the saying goes, no one's perfect.
