    Reporting again the No-Damage Hack

    Greetings moderators, I reported yesterday, and you didn't ban the offender. deleted I assume it worked yesterday because you banned fcbali. He was on my team, and I didn't notice at game time, though I did note the complaints from the other team. You have already banned fcbali from other reports. Good. I appreciate that. However, my report was of sergeant.bone. You can see at the beginning of my recording that sergeant.bone had just self-destructed. Then you can see him atop the roof at the 11 second mark with a smoky. A tanker bbasel2 had the flag at that point. Some complained that bbasel2 had the no-damage hack as well, but he seemed killable. Sergeant.bone, not. At 1:25 .bone gets another kill. At the 2:00 minutes point of the video, I show the tally screen, and sergeant.bone showed 7 kills and 1 death, and you recall the death is recorded as a self-destruct. At 2:22, sergeant.bone self-destructs again, and changed equipment a few seconds later. (to firebird) Sergeant.bone got a kill at 2:51, and at 3:26, and then I caught up with him at 3:30. He grabbed the health-pack, which would have nullified a few of my shots, but then he took a half minute more, with the ricochet shooting him too, and then he self-destructed (rather than me killing him). That is three SDs so far. By 4:30 .bone had another kill. At the 5:00 mark, you can see that sergeant.bone has the 3 deaths due to SDs, and 8 kills. At 5:03 .bone self-destructed again and the tally board reflects the adjusted numbers. (You can see I voted another player, but I never quite got convinced he was hacking.) By 5:22 bone had two more kills, double-kill at 5:30, at the 5:50 mark I started that flag-return where I killed everyone but .bone. He got kills, but no deaths. .bone got another kill at 6:26, at 6:35, I note that fcbali and sergeant.bone didn't fight, but let each other pass. I note when .bone destroyed me at 6:48, he used a health-pack, which makes me think the hack was more like super armor rather than no actual damage. Anyway, he got me there, but he didn't bother with fcbali seconds before. I suspect they were working together. .bone took our flag, got another kill, and then attacked a pack, picking up three quick kills and seeming to be unscathed. .bone dropped the flag and picked it back up at 7:55. .bone got me at 8:12, and you can see he still has only the four deaths due to his own self-destructs. Same on the tally-board at the end. Obviously fcbali had the hack, but you already banned him. Sergeant.bone also had the hack. Please ban him too. Thank you. I appreciate your efforts. This is a lot of effort for almost no return, only the satisfaction of trying to keep the game clean and fair. I'll try to keep contributing. Sincerely, OKDad70

  5. Hmm... No topic to discuss the turret poll? I consider rico to be OP. Thunder is almost as bad. The other weapons are well balanced for skilled users. Freeze is still annoying. Irritating. Freeze is sometimes infuriating. Hate it. Shaft is annoying too, but it is fun to fight, fun to hunt. Freeze is only annoying. It was horrid while it took a whole minute to unfreeze. A little better now. Still hate it. I have to admit, though, I do not find it that effective. I generally beat it one-on-one regardless of my equipment. I have a half-dozen accounts, this is my main. I use mostly twins on titan for this account, but I have a modest garage and use other equipment. I try to use XP often enough to keep some skill. Rail is slightly OP, but being the favorite, that seems okay to me. The last reduction of reload time made a difference that seemed to make it noticeably more effective. I answered my poll that I consider twins the weakest turret. However, it is effective, and with most of the weapons it can be used to great effect with skill. Smoky is most--most effective with skill. It is hard to master, but it is impressive in the hands of a master. Twins mostly suits my style. I like to be aggressive and pound opponents. Twins-titan suits me well. I find it quite effective most of the time. I notice I lose when the enemy can coordinate though. Twins doesn't have the punch to overcome good opponents with ricochet, thunder, and rail (in that order). Still, I stick with it most of the time, and I won't whine if you don't beef it anytime soon. Vulcan is still relatively powerful, but it seems most cannot master it. So, don't nerf it.

    Daily Missions have gone live!

    Daily missions is good. Need more diversity in maps. Be careful to keep the odds of getting a rare map high enough to where there will be lots of players wanting to play it for the mission. Overall, this works.

    I have used all the combos I have, including XP (M2 hornet - M2 rail), and I cannot see a problem. I'll give the experiment a small thumbs-up. Camera up-down is a little fast, not bad. Left-right just doesn't seem significantly different. I don't understand why so many say it is dizzying or hard to see.

    I have other combos at low Ms. They all seem fine on the turning. Up and down seem a little too fast. Perhaps the increase is too much. Still, I rate things about the same or a little better. The up-down will need some getting used to. I've tried BP, vulcan-viking, hunter-smoky, firebird-hornet, and rico-dictator. (Low Ms, but the ricochet is the Boar kit {M2s}.) I have no complaint. Not dizzy. I'll try XP (M2s) some tomorrow (if the experiment lasts that long).

    I don't understand the negativity. I tried it with my typical titan-twins, and I could hardly tell the difference. Seems slightly improved. I will play with my XP combo. Perhaps that will make a difference. I have M2s. Perhaps the M3 equipment behaves differently, or more rapid/jerky.

    Inexplicable Self Destruct

    I've been noticing the battle record saying I've self destructed when I shouldn't have been able to. A common recurrence seems to be when I ram someone and drive on top of them instead. I almost always drop a mine when such happens, and that seems to be part of the cause, but the mine doesn't necessarily even explode. Also, I hate driving over someone when I am trying to ram them. Please fix that. Titans should not pop on top of hornets. Anyway, friends are noticing too. There are many inexplicable self destructs. I use twins most of the time. No SD potential. I never drive off the edge if I can help it, and I don't tap delete unless I am hopelessly flipped. The friends who have started complaining about the random SDs are seeing the same with the mines, driving on other tanks, and even jumping or being blasted high in the air. It is one thing to see that "Tanker" destroyed you. It is another to see yourself listed as self destructed. Some suggest it is the anticheat system. That seems unreasonable, but at least as likely as random SDs. Something is wrong. Please fix it.

    Loads of promotions for TO’s B’Day

    For TO birthday next year, instead of 7,000 crystal boxes, how about 7X more boxes. That is, on that day, have the gold-box drop chance be 1 in 1000 rather than 1 in 7000. Thanks for the promotions in celebration.
  13. Well, looks good. I'm concerned how it will work out being able to continuously run microupgrades. May be okay. Probably will work out in the long run. May make for some significant imbalance for a while. It seems we have updated wiki pages, but the microupgrade pages are outdated. (For what I've checked so far.) Greatly appreciate the extra microupgradable parameters.
  14. Freeze and thunder were overbeefed in this last update. Freeze has always been frustrating. Now it must be destroyed before it is in range, or you are destroyed. Thunder is just devastating now. It deals unbelievable damage. I suspect part of my own experience is that the Ms are a bit high at my particular ranks. Still, it is too OP. The twins nerf was unjustified. Sure, it is a little more powerful up close, but it is almost useless otherwise.

    Open testing of changes in balance!

    I'm not sure what y'all expect. How can anyone check so many changes? How can anyone tell what factors balance other factors? I just cannot get excited about this broad update. Too much. Unintended consequences will be many and long-lived. Perhaps, if it stays open a few days, I'll find time to try, but for now, I cannot. I'm also concerned that I cannot test M3 or M3+ fairly and objectively items since I'm used to only M0, M1, and some M2. With the M0 and M1, I do not see the hammer as significantly over powered. I worked a good bit on the test server with the M3+ vulcan, but I've been running a new account with a viking-vulcan at M0. I didn't think the vulcan was over powered, but it is. I tried some scenarios where I seemed to be significantly above what I could attribute to my skill. I have learned well how to use the vulcan, but the biggest surprise was 60 kills in a 15 minute DM. A kill every 15 seconds is over powered. So, sure we need the changes, but overall it seems overwhelming and impossible to check for overall balance. For the hammer, the main OP is the range. It has much more range than the other short-range weapons. Seems the motivation for this update is focused on Star Ladder. Okay, that is good. With the update, the railgun will be more dynamic and the pace of battles should increase in the light format Star Ladder battles. The smoky changes should make it more relevant since the critical doesn't happen in Star Ladder. The railgun and shaft are the most powerful and popular turrets, and you are making them significantly stronger. That seems backward. The thunder upgrades and isida upgrades seem likely to increase supplies purchases and use because they will be devastating with double damage activated.
