I think the new gold box in shop is a great idea, and the price looks about right. However, can we please ban mention of gold from the chats? I know there is nothing much can be done about it, but it sure is annoying for 20 questions a minute about gold.

Simple: Vulcan has too much impact force. Vulcan can turn my viking and my titan. Come on. That is too much impact. You must have beefed it from the early days. It doesn't have enough recoil to right itself from its side, but it can make it impossible to steer the target tank. Too much. Please consider reducing the impact force. I'm surprised it isn't pinwheeling the wasps again.

Isida is entirely too powerful offensively. It must be nurfed for damage dealt, and beefed for healing, and it needs the range for attack significantly shortened and range for healing increased slightly. Mostly, isida should simply not be able to enter DM. It is truly overpowered.

UPDATED — “Welcome Tanki” Locations and Details Announced
OKDad70 replied to theFiringHand in Contests Archive
Cool, cool. Sounds great to me. Congrats to 'em. -
The old specialty paints, like Moonwalker and Traceur, should not be available for purchase. Same for Red Suit. Limited edition paints aren't special if they come out again. My son bought Moonwalker all those moons ago, and I worked hard to earn enough crystals in time for the Red Suit sale.
-
Hmm... So, the new paints are in the garage. Good to go. I like them, but I won't be trying to get them soon. Such can wait. The shop is good. Not really what I was expecting. I don't appreciate the hype. I was expecting more. As long as glitches and fatal errors aren't many times higher like most substantive updates, I'll be good with this update. Please watch for those glitches, bugs, and fatal errors and get them fixed quick.
-
What is "Shop?" Is shop the same as garage? If so, it ain't there. No new paints, nothing new. What is going on? Are we waiting on a server reset???
-
I'm running in Windows 10, but I've checked five different browsers. All the same. No row for paints (no protections) and graphic for currently equipped tank will not display, just spinning indicator.
-
This is still a problem. Going to the profile page doesn't show paints or protections, and the graphic for the current configuration doesn't display.
-
Is it something on my end, or is the display of current equipment still messed up in the Profile display? It started with this update. Sure seems it should have been corrected already.
-
There are two Badger T-G protections. They are not the same.

I will give it some time, but so for, mixed on the new update. Lots of things to like in it, but some important things not to like. We need the wiki up for the new modules and details of how the MUs will work and cost. Note that there is no way to check one's equipped module. I have to go to the garage to be sure what protection set I have. We used to be able to tell from which paint we had equipped. Now, heck, I can't remember where I put my keys. The single protection module for mines seems silly. So, I could roll over several mines, but I would have no other protection, so easy pickins. Is that supposed to be the point? It isn't sufficient. It looks like the new modules will be good, but simple. No room for specialization. No way for specialists to pick their favorites and become experts with their chosen equipment and protections. Now everyone is the same. It boils it down to lots of crystals means lots of options. It is getting closer to "pay to win," which is not what this game is supposed to be about. Three protections at 50% will be very effective if properly chosen. The four-protection legacy protections are not going to be very popular after people get a few of the new modules MUd. I assume there is some system or pattern to the names and initials, but I don't see it yet. Please address in the pending wiki pages.

Baffled. Seems complicated and intended to make people specialize and not try variety. I was disgusted by all the negative comments I saw before anyone knew anything. Now we know a little, and it just looks messed up. So far, very disappointed.

Guide [Issue 54] The Ultimate Guide to Twins
OKDad70 replied to Thekillerpenguin in Newspaper Archive
Thank you. Good guide. Twins is fun. I use twins, as you suggest, with Viking for CTF, and Titan for other. Mammoth is too slow. I'll probably never use it. (I'm not one with the patience for defense.) Mostly, twins is fun. The key is aggression and keeping targets, as you suggest, saying, "Stay in an area with lots of commotion." Kill steeling is key to DM, and twins in a cluster gets many of the final shots. Take pains to aim carefully (during constant fire). Make nearly every shot count, because if half your balls are missing, you can't claim that green-balls rule! I'm beginning to have a significant M3 garage, and I like to take some XP time now and then, but I mostly fight with my twins. (As I fight a lot of Generalissimos now, I need more time (and crystals) to MU my M3 equipment. My MU level for twins is respectable, for viking and titan, decent, but my other M3 equipment just isn't there yet.) I fight with twins mostly because twins is fun. I like it best, at least so far. With viking, especially after completing a few MUs, maximize mobility. Sure, it doesn't help much against some turrets, but it generally helps against most opponents who simply are not used to fighting a brawling, close-in, mobile twins. Circle strafing is important. Also, get good at bumps and nudges, and never be afraid to pin your opponent against a wall. You can often elevate them with the sustained fire and ram, and they can't hit you back. Merciless, I know, but it sure is fun. It is important for twins (and ricos) to remember that plasma does not pass through teammates. Plasma users have a responsibility to avoid shooting teammates, especially long-range turrets. Another reason to avoid brick-techniques is halting the fire as a teammate passes through the stream of balls. Be a good plasma user; don't pound your buddy. All players need to remember to drive to avoid bumping teammates' tanks. Always stay mindful of not diverting a shot of a teammate with a careless bump. Bumps happen, especially when someone is backing frantically, so don't be touchy. Stay mindful. Every little bit helps. I consider twins the middle turret. It is better than half of the others outright. It is better than all of them some of the time. In my experience, twins is exceptionally effective against wasps. The impact makes it hard for them to drive and aim, and they just don't have enough hit points to matter. I also find that twins protection on a wasp doesn't help because the hull is just too light. It gets banged around too much to effectively fight an aggressive twins. -
Used to, it was longer, then last round, maybe one before, they shortened the last day, which, like you, I missed, thinking I had a couple hours to go. So, this time I knew and made sure I got it done first thing. I also tried to remind all the people I know that play. Remember that the last day is short day.
-
I think it is mostly because they like the whining.
-
There are trolls at this now. The answer is obviously titan. Trolls will say anything, construe anything. Titan for day 3. Remember that on Friday when you have to put the correct answer in for your five points.

The Russian word for Titanium is исполин, which translates back to English as Titan. The emblem on the side of the Titanic is obviously the element Titanium from the periodic table. Don't forget the periodic table was first developed by the Russians. They like it, and they have maximum history with it. The clue is obviously исполин, Titan.

Regarding email accounts, yes, good idea. However, note that most children do not have email accounts. Parents may be able to set up, but the email providers generally actively delete accounts of children when they confirm they are under 13 years of age.

Good sale, but two days of 2X battle fund would have been nice, since this is work day. Starting on Sunday with 2X would have been very good. I like the unique items. Good overall holiday sale.
-
Okay, might work fine, but even battles (50/50) can be woefully lopsided in skills. Important: 1 v 2 is not hopeless for the one, especially if it is a skilled tanker. Don't start the timer with less than four tanks. That is, if only three players, 1 v 2, let it ride. If the two are dominate, the normal cap will end it soon enough, but when 1 v 2, just one evens it up 100%. Remember to think of the end points. 1 v 2 is 50%, but not automatically lopsided.
-
Not enough to matter, I suppose. Still, it sucks! I think this is the first time I've felt truly angry at Tanki. It seems they deliberately shorted all the other time zones.
-
What is going on? I work. I have no time in my time zone before now. It is day five still. Why is the game already closed? I have not had a chance to enter today, game-day-five, answer. Please open the system back up. What is going on? Something went wrong. Please fix it and let me enter my last entry.
