Am I missing something? The violations section is closed. Well, I'll try here. I'm not sure why a player with two high-level Legend accounts will join a battle and mult, but Sweetality obviously did. I was fighting, obviously, and we managed to win it, but the chat was constant. It seemed some love-struck dolt was pretending to woo some undisclosed player. However, right at the end, I realized the two pink Isida (visible under the Red battle screen) were sitting there doing nothing, and had been. I recall seeing them once earlier. I'd have recorded, but I didn't notice until the end. I assume Tanki doesn't try to deal with mults anymore. Why? Why close the violations section of the forum? Again, "Sippin' on straight chlorine...lovin' what I'm tastin'."

Ricosck entered the battle at the beginning, 7:52. Ricosck played with effort until the score rolled to 50 to 0, which was at about the four minute point. Considering the image, need I say more? MM is broken. How does it get that lopsided? How do you justify depriving me (and the entire team) of Stars? It really is disgusting, disturbing, seemingly sadistic. Is that the point? ---- Edit to show it wasn't my fault: As you can see, the match was far from balanced. Blue led almost the entire time. We somehow got lucky and pulled out the win in the last 10 seconds. 77/82 v 68/87 -Edit2 vollante79 has a Gear Score of 1255, M2 equipment. How do I express sympathy when most players are stuck like that too often? I point out vollante79's plight because his activity was thorough also. S/he played hard the entire match. At such an equipment disadvantage a score half mine (Ricosck GS at the time was ~8850) is actually impressive. (Phe567, perhaps also. I cannot tell.) I often say GS is meaningless, but it gets us in the ballpark. Obviously the remaining poor sods were stuffed in a hopeless battle late after the original team members bailed. Look at the second match and consider how much difference it made that all 16 original players (apparently) played hard the entire battle. The better team was obviously Blue, who lead nearly the entire 8-minute match. Somehow, Red pulled it out. Probably by determination and stubbornness alone. Also by remembering keeping the Points is the point of CP. Given how willing most players are to abandon battles for the least reasons, it is obviously impossible for MM to work. No matter how important the Devs say it is, it is broken and the most frustrating aspect of Tanki Online today. BTW, "Sippin' on straight chlorine...lovin' what I'm tastin'.

BTW, it occurs to me I'll be playing for, essentially, 20 repair kits and 20 batteries. Did the floor drop out of The Game reward? Didn't it used to be quite a bit more?

"Deadline for submitting keywords: January 8, 20:59 UTC." That is Tuesday. Note that the final day has only twelve hours (well, 11 hours, 59 minutes) to complete. The final day does not last all day, only half. I'm in the central USA, so, for the mathematically challenged, that it 13:59 Central Standard Time Zone (the midsection of the USA and some of the rest of the Americas). The point here, the contest will be over before anyone is getting home for the day. Make your entry in the morning before you start your day. Don't let that shortened time catch you.

I suppose I'm wasting my time to bother posting another example. Ricosck just completed an 8v5 CTF in 5.5 minutes, losing 0 to 7. Rickosck managed, barely, to exceed the threshold and be in first place on the losing team. I checked. Every player except Field Marshal Ricosck was a multilevel Legend. I also checked for drones. I saw more mines in that battle than I've ever seen before. Oddly, only four of those multilevel Legends had drones. Three of them had the Sabatour drone, which each seemed to have fully MUd, given there were rings of 9 mines everywhere. I was wondering if they'd hacked the cool down, but I suppose the problem was we were unable to kill the minelayers, so the mines stayed until I ran over them. I don't know how many times my Dictator was shot into a mine that I was dodging. Again, MM is broken in multiple ways. Alterations are broken. Drones are broken. Oddly, both seem to be mostly ignored, even though playing gives one the impression everyone has them, especially drones. MM is broken. It needs to be fixed, but it cannot be fixed. Therefore, Devs, abandon MM, even if you want to keep pretending it is crucially important. Saying so in the Vlog doesn't make it so. For the record, Ricosck fought that battle with a GS 9038. One of the opponents GS was 9875 (approximately, with no XT skin). My point being Ricosck wasn't outgunned, our team was. And, GS means nothing.
-
Seems to me you are looking for a fight. I said nothing like that. I implied nothing like that.
-
Assuming the deceptively named "activity" requirement is actually 90 points, Ricosck missed by 5. No Stars for you and the other four under 90! It was a good faith effort. I was active. Ask the two Strikers who were obviously a team. Ask their Shaft overwatch and the Isidas. X-O, the Freeze and I were all that stopped them from getting all 7 flags. If I'd have hung back and not took so many Striker rockets, with my 42% protection from them, I might have gotten my Stars, and the battle might have been over in half the time. Good deal? No. It is not.
-
Once again, the fraudulant Stars Threshold. Ricosck just completed a full flag battle, but the other team got so far ahead Ricosck and four other players on our team received no Stars. None! It was a good faith effort and we were cheated! Get a better system.
-
First, I almost never leave battles. The main reason I do is being stuffed into a hopeless match with too little time to help and no time to get missions or Stars. X-O, I mean no disrespect; I'm simply being honest when I say it is hard to take you seriously. Look at your profile and compare. Frankly, you must be one of Fortuna's favorites. The Efficiency Rating isn't particularly useful, but it is all we have, and it is a measure. Only about 800 players are better than you. Something like 100,000 players logged on yesterday. By this measure in the overall game you are better than all but 1 in 1000 players. Can't you tell how much better you are than everyone else? Part of my own gripe about the game is how good I am versus how hard stuff is. I am certain IF it is hard for me, it is harder for most other players. Look at my profiles for OKDad70 and Ricosck. Dad got a drone with the sale and hasn't really used it yet. Ricosck has had one for a while (and a new one with the sale), but I use it sparingly so as to not run out of batteries. I try to use it when I figure it is worth it for me or for the team. You seem to always use a drone, but I'm guessing. The profile has a glitch in that regard. My style depends on the mode. I focus on flags for CTF. I don't much care how I do (unless there are Stars or Missions involved). I want to end the match with my team having more flags. I think I'm good at it. Perhaps I'm deluded, but I generally find my tactics and skills to contribute effectively. For CP, I fight from the points. Bad for the K/D, but good for the team. Etc. I understand tactics. I have the skills. I contribute. I used to think I was generally 1st or 2nd at the end of battles. The more it matters, the less I think so. I play to win the matches. I'm not worried about getting kills except to help the team. I use plasma. It is difficult to get more than 5 points per kill because I can't one-shot. I can't take out opponents in less than two seconds like the short range turrets and the main long range turrets. Short range has its place, but I hate sniping. Camping is not something I can stand. I play to fight, and it is much more fun when my team wins. I find little satisfaction in DM. It is especially frustrating when there are more than 10 turrets represented (as there often are). Perhaps I've lost my point here (or never found it), but a few people act like some things are so easy. I am confident most players, the large majority of players, do not find it so easy as you say. It has occurred to me that of the tens-of-thousands of players who log on most days, nearly none ever comment on the forums. Many participate in chat, but most only comment a little, and move on. If I didn't care about any of it, I might lose the frustration. However, for a while I thought highly of Tanki, and I thought I could find likeminded players who would care to team and play together. All the old farts I found have quit. Too many changes. If my sons never played anymore, I don't think I'd still be here. Maybe I can take a frivolous attitude and get over it all, but I'm more likely to just give up. X-O, again, I don't mean to be down on you, but what you say isn't something I can do. Either because I don't think such is fun (and it doesn't contribute to my team), or I just don't get it done. One would think odds would even things out, but Tanki seems to be boom or bust almost all the time. Rarely does much of anything depend on skill. Of course, if one takes the attitude that the only thing that matters is maximizing points, even if it ensures a team loss, well, then luck will have less to do with it and skill more. However, I like to say, "Snipers like to lose." The sniper might get the flag runner 3 out of 4 tries, but teammates pick it up, or the runner gets through often enough. For flags I always say defense loses. I say CTF = Attack Or Lose. A defense that thwarts 19 out of 20 attempts still loses 1 to 0. I enjoy frustrating my opponents with incessant aggression and close-in fighting, but I really don't like the idea of frustrating my teammates because I don't care enough to try to help with the victory objective. Perspective says that a large percentage of players don't care much. It would seem my burden to try anyway.

I again ask for removal of the first place mission. Ricosck just completed a TDM where I lead the entire battle. My team lead for about five minutes. Why did we lose? Can't tell. Though I got my first-place stars, I didn't advance my 15X-firsts. There is no rhyme or reason to it. X-O pretends it is easy, but I think X-O is just too far ahead to worry. None of it matters in X-O's world. It would matter little to me if I didn't have the one-week mission that takes three or four weeks to get one meager container with 125 more speeds or mines to add to my several thousand.

And Dommoo5, the problem is the timing system. I've raised the issue a couple of times, and written it up as thoroughly as I'm able with limited knowledge. Things happen in an order chosen by the programmers. They happen in that order in the tick (quarter-second) following detection. So, why you press the shift-key, the system registers that and ques it for the next tick. In the mean time, you get hit, and it calculates your damage before it calculates the repair. Of course, it already reset your overdrive. There can also be lag issues associated with excessive ping, which is usually due to factors controlled only by the internet providers. (AT&T is bad in my experience.) Not much point in complaining about that because nobody here can do anything about it. They can program the OD to not reset if you blow up within the next tick. I suppose that is on the list of things to fix, but it might take a couple years to get around to it.
-
It would seem my primary problem is AT&T with its unreliable internet connection, excessive ping. (Visiting Mom.)

I logged in and set some updates, and entered a battle. I use the client. I dematerialized in the battle. I couldn't pick up boxes and was doing no damage. It is like a frozen screen, but it was still moving. So, I exited (Alt-F4). When I tried to reenter, nothing doing. It started the initial announcement frame, and never progressed at all. I've rebooted. Same result. The initial frame came up, but nothing after. I've now uninstalled. I'll reinstall and update. Reinstall went smoothly. It seems to have fixed it.

The statement was clear. MM is not going away. MM is broken. Yet, use it, or get no rewards. I suppose my dislike for Stars is solved if I abandon MM. Of course, that basically means abandon Tanki.

Please remove the 1st place missions. Please remove all missions to "Take one of the top three places on the winner's team."
-
Over the last hour, I find myself doubting I've ever played this game before. I assume the recent sale saw MANY alterations purchased. There are so many alterations I can't tell what is what. There is no telling the capabilities of whatever it is you think you are facing. Chaos. What a wonderful addition to frustration. Please remove the 1st place missions. Please remove all missions to "Take one of the top three places on the winner's team." It is nothing but frustration. Taking fourth by only five points. Your team losing assault only in the last few seconds. Over and over. Trying to do well is fun. Repeatedly falling just short of one more step in the mission is demoralizing. I truly believe the Devs cannot relate. They don't have the pressure, even if they have the playing time. (And how many of them have significant recent playing time?)
-
And it is far enough down the priorities that they are quite certain they will have it resolved before March of 2020.
-
Speaking for myself, hopefully providing a useful perspective, I used to find myself in the top three most of the time. I never thought whether it was winning team or losing team because the top-three mission didn't exist, and we didn't have Stars to worry about. With the change over the last several months, my ability to reliably get first is significantly diminished, and I find that being in the top three on the winning team is relatively rare. I think it is about one in eight battles, or about 1.5 hours play-time for 1X on the top-three mission. It seems to be primarily luck. I'm playing Ricosck heavily with M4 Rico-Dic. I'm playing OKDad70 some with M4 Twins-Vik or Titan, or Thunder a little. And I'm playing an M1-M2 account wth Freeze-Hornet significantly for a few days. Six to eight battles just to get one top three on the winning team regardless of rig or rank. I still find myself at the top of the board when my team was blown out. I suppose most of the other good players on those losing teams weren't as stubborn (or dumb), and they left. When I'm on the overly dominant team, it seems mostly a matter of being lucky to get the targets first. I don't think my skills and determination have lessened. I think the game balance has tipped away from favoring skill and determination. The game seems to favor abandoning hopeless teams and avoiding close-in fighting. (Of course, for me, my primary aim is close-in fighting.) Overall, everything seems mostly dependent on luck (or grinding for extra hours). Of course, poor players will have a low success rate even when Fortuna smiles. Thus, they probably need ten to twelve battles to get the top three spot on the winning side. Ouch. If hacking and cheating aren't actually up, some combinations of drones and alterations make things too different to tell. Too many tanks seem to take far more from me than I'd expect, and they seem to survive hits from others, too. Wolverine acts like Isida can't kill anything, but I usually find myself destroyed by the time I realize an Isida beam is hitting me, less than two seconds, practically a one-shot from a Shaft. Heck, Isidas often kill me faster than a Striker's full-salvo does, considering the time from seeing the first rocket fire to when the last rocket exploded. Challenges overall seems a good thing for the game. Stars, not so much, especially the deceptively billed "inactivity" rule that routinely deprives honest players of their fully-earned reward of Stars. I'm trying to keep notes and keep track of how things actually go as objectively as I can figure out to do. So far, top-three missions are far harder than they should be for daily and for weekly missions and their comparatively meager rewards. I'm also finding that I consider between 1 and 5 and 1 in 4 battles to be reasonable and balanced. 75% or more of battles are sad. Perhaps X-O and some of the optimists are truly so skilled and routinely smiled upon by Fortuna, but I suspect if they started logging per battle, they'd find their tallies not as impressive as they presently think. If someone can offer actual data and statistics, I'd appreciate seeing, but my best guess remains that the majority of players logging into this game at least three times per week are playing less than 8 hours per week, which isn't enough to get 15X 1-3 wins, and isn't enough to get all 20 to 21 daily missions. The game being more challenging would not deserve complaints. The game simply being more demanding, while offering less reward and more frustration should be criticized. The Challenges system helps, but very little for most players.
-
I entered a battle (Aslt, Red, Rio) at ~5min mark, and almost left when I noticed because I'd only managed two kills and it seemed pointless, but I noticed I had 75 score, so I continued. The next time I checked my score it was 30, then 25, then ended with 50. What's up with that? Of course, y'all cheated me out of a Star to add to the frustration.
-
I'm working on my breathing exercises. The plasma torch isn't awesome. (Autocannon doesn't seem awesome, and it is significantly more annoying than Twins. Annoying can be fun sometimes.)
-
Again with a 15x 1-3onWin. Four battles so far with M4 rig and drone. I have almost 500 points in mode. My typical average score is higher than that, but all four were all Legend except Ricosck (well, and one Generalisimo who didn't manage to get to the Stars threshold; yes, that problem, too). 1500 points in mode for a daily mission. Fortunately, the 500 is same mode. Please give us a decent explanation of why the new missions system is still so horrible. You have admitted the new missions system is a problem. You have admitted complaints are very high. Yet, nothing is done. The 15x1-3onWin is a three week mission for all but the elite or the lucky. You won't even count ties for wins. So, tied battles screws every player with a 1-3onWin mission, daily or weekly. Again, why hasn't anything been done about the problems with the missions system, especially the 15x1-3onWin? Why? Eight weeks suffering under the new missions system. Nothing.

Chaos, me, personally, I wouldn't have taken your suggestion kindly. I'd wonder why you didn't think I understood the battle pass and extra stuff for it. Given the fact you took the extra time to include a link, I hope I'd be able to give you the benefit of the doubt. Ult, hard core props! Speaking for myself, I thought the extra stuff worth the 5USD. I even paid it for my son, even though he's not likely to get more than half the tiers, and I'm not likely to get more than two-thirds. Of course, if you can't pay, you can't. So be it. I agree you might as well ask. I applaud your effort. You won't get it if you don't ask, but it seems you have been around too long to hold much hope they will budge on this. It won't cost Tanki dollars, but it will cost someone time (and time is money). Viking, thank you for taking the extra effort.

Wolverine, Ostrica has a point. For myself, I complain about what I think is most important to change to help the overall game. Ostrica says many complain endlessly. I've changed what I complain about over the years. I didn't start saying I'd quite until I really thought I would, and I did quit. I was out for over 11 months. I'm back. A lot of the same problems. I do try to offer suggestions. I tend to write too much for forum, but my objective is providing information for the Devs. I, for one, appreciate the Mods. Ostrica and Maf perform admirably. It is a Herculean effort. They are usually patient, more than we are. Different people simply have different tastes, preferences, and tolerances. Viking has been emphasizing some of what we (especially you, Wolverine) say about not liking the game any more. I'm one who expresses frustration often. I've occasionally detailed why I keep playing despite frustration, and right now, my determination plus the sparks of fun and occasional worthwhile accomplishments have me playing. I suspect I'll stick it out through Spring regardless. If things are better, and I do hold out hope, good. If not, I think odds are good I'll give up on it again. I've mentioned before that the first couple years I played (2014, 2015), I was willing to spend money on the game. It seemed worth it to me. Now, I spend a little, but begrudgingly to get the edge that seems required, or the extra line of rewards for the Challenge. To quantify, some will think it high, others trivial, I spent about $500 on me and my two sons in my first 30 months of playing. Since, I'm up to about $50. Money from us players, voluntarily for stuff in the game, is how this one works. I used to think it worth it. Now, I'm not convinced. My point, though my frustrations are high, they aren't quite high enough to give up. On the other hand, my frustrations are high enough I come here often to vent. I trust our patient Mods can keep being patient.

Maybe the player bought a bunch of gold boxes and had a Pro-battle goldbox party with a couple of friends. I've recorded and reported cheaters. I've missed recording and reported anyway, hoping to establish a little extra evidence, but most of the cheating I see, I can't really prove. Tanki takes the same attitude. Some things look like cheating but have reasonable explanations. I try not to be harsh when I'm not sure. (I try. Sometimes I fail.)
