UPDATED - Halloween returns for 24 hours on Saturday 5th

Still not playing. Unlikely to resume at any time in the future. -

Cedric, I feel for you. Your job is only slightly better than being Bashar al-Assad's press spokesman.
-
That's why. I've stopped playing, now that the game I enjoyed is gone.
-
I still check out TO once a day. When I see that it is still for buyers only, I leave.

In the first year I played Tanki, I spent US$200 on crystals. After that, the price of crystals was effectively raised, "50% off" sales on crystals disappeared from all the holidays, and my prepaid card was devalued by 20%, but I could not spend the card anywhere else so I spent $100 in the second year. That annoyed me so much that I have not spent any real cash since. I think the problem is partly that they have far more staff than they need, and are now scrambling desperately to find a way to pay them. Realistically it seems unlikely that I will ever play Tanki again, but I enjoyed the game as it was four years ago so much that I find myself checking back every few days.

Even rebooting my computer did not remove the problem, but now, eight hours later, it is gone. Crowding problem on the servers? Bet even the devs can't tell.

Update Giving Me BIG Problems
PopChaser replied to PopChaser in Update Giving Me BIG Problems Archive
I seem to be completely screwed by the new update. A couple of time a minute, my screen freezes for a second. When the game resumes I do not know where I will be or what direction I will be facing, because my tank keeps moving/turning while not under control. The most frequent result, however, is to find myself killed. If the freeze happens after I have been killed, but before I respawn, when I do respawn the controls are dead, and there seems to be no solution but to leave the game. Is this happening to anybody else? -

Won't it be great if this is so? Then Tanki will not have to spend lots of time and effort to restore the level of playability that it had three years ago when I first found the game. I have my doubts. :(

Living in North America, I have been unable to steer or aim for most of each day on the European servers. I did not realize that I am pretty good at this game until the Brazilian servers opened. When I am playing on those accounts, I am deadly. Unfortunately my grandsons and all the other real friends I had here got fed up and left before that.

I like this. There were several paints with useful protection that I did not buy because I simply did not like the look of them.
-
Thank you very much indeed. I am still curious as to why the PaySafeCard is so heavily discounted, but that is no longer important.
-
You will have to tell me how to get to Euros or Rubles, because I cannot find a way.

Prepaid cards- 1) OneCard [not available in USA] $99.99 = 143,000 + 215,000 bonus 2) OpenBucks $99.99 = 143,000 + 115,000 bonus 3) PaySafeCard $99.99 = 142,986 + 115,000 bonus Credit card- 1) Visa $99.99 = 143,000 + 215,000 bonus + seven days premium account 2) American Express $99.99 = 143,000 + 215,000 bonus

The question is "Why does PaysafeCard give many fewer crystals than any other method of payment". That is not due to the game's economy. Every time I have asked this question I have only gotten responses from people who do not know anything about it.

"PaysafeCard" worth 40% less; why?
PopChaser replied to PopChaser in "PaysafeCard" worth 40% less; why? Archive
Occasionally I think about buying crystals again, but the system is very discouraging. In April 2014 the "PaysafeCard" prepaid card suddenly bought fewer crystals than the others. I was told at the time to hold onto the card and that would be corrected. Instead, the penalty increased. Eventually I had to spend the card because I had held it a year and the issuer was about to charge a fee. The very large penalty still applies. WHY? I hesitate to use any credit card for a transaction in Russia because both times I have made purchases there, not with Tanki, the number has been stolen. -
When Tanki X starts running in the Brazilian server, I will go there to play. There is much less lag. I would have gone there already, but accounts cannot be moved.

New Year Celebration goodies are waiting for you in-game

'Destroy enemies while wearing the Holiday paint' mission has now become a boring trudge, because all opponents now realize that the user has no protection and fire Holiday paint first. -

It has now been one calendar year since a sale on crystals coincided with my receipt of a DCC. It is not a coincidence that I have bought no crystals in that period. -
The changes to garage are irrelevant to me. I had learned to work easily within the old system, but this does look as if new players might find it more convenient. The modifications to CP made me laugh. TO is neutralizing the "Score Cap for Standard Battles" without actually removing the change, in accordance with their principle of never admitting a screwup.
-
I hope the devs have noticed that nobody is playing anything but DMs for the Halloween bonus. The score caps for all the other standard battles now mean there is a direct trade-off between how much fun a game is and how much scoring you can do. :(

When I started playing Tanki sixteen months ago, I would have loved this feature. Now it is hardly worth the effort of posting this comment. Meh.

This update is mainly a sign that we hurt the TO staff's feelings when we had such a negative response to the Tanker's Day Sale. They deserved to have their feelings hurt, because while it was not the worst sale ever, it was the most disappointing. Everybody expected them to match the best discounts of the past, and they only had moderate discounts on some of the things some people want. I will say here - because there seems to be nowhere else to say it - that for me the worst update was the "Score Cap for Standard Battles". I used to like the large team battles, but now they are rarely played because nobody knows how long they will last. If the game is a CP and one side quits, an 'hour' game with five points can end in eight minutes. An hour TDM can end in a very short time if both sides fight hard, but if one side quits, the other can end up standing around for forty minutes to collect any crystals, moving about occasionally to avoid being removed for inaction. This last thing is particularly humorous because after all the failed attempts to cause games to end early when one side has obviously lost, they have now successfully created a game that will only continue to the time limit if one side has been hopelessly crushed. I used to play six or seven hours a week in the days of 'Daily Gifts'. Now I complete my missions and stop, which come to about half that.
