Love the first point for shaft. As a shaft user myself I find that people often don't get that close. If they do your last point definitely applies. Nice job.

No PUM likes microchip.

That looks like m1 twins, but still. That D/L is pretty bad.

PUM means person under me. No I have m2 shaft. PUM has m2 firebird. -
They will get 70% sales eventually. Just like the turrets
-
Corrosion is pretty good. I've used it for a while now. Prodigi is also pretty good. The question is, do you want more shaft or thunder protection?
-
Viking has some of the best mu steps. IMO I also use viking m2 and I find that it is plenty powerful. Definitely worth the cry.
-
not in every case. When an enemy with your flag is hiding behind a wall, with only the smallest portion of the turret showing, shaft is the only weapon capable of taking them out. Even the best railgun players won`t be able to hit them. Also, its high damage means it is more likely to take out someone with your flag.
-
Guilty as charged. I can`t help it sometimes. When my team is making an assault on the flag i do whatever it takes to make sure they get through. For all of you on the business end of my shaft, you have my sincere apologies.
-
I saw that awhile ago. Loved it!
-
Wow quadruple post. I do the same thing. All I do is get to my sniping spot and light em' up. I once held down an entire team including mammoths so my teammates could take the flags. I think at one point I was killing an enemy once every 3 seconds
-
They should definitely give an item called pizza or coffee to people who have had shaft since that description was around. Just for the lol's.
-
I agree as well. However, i do feel that the devs are trying to stop this behavior. They can`t stop everything. I`ve been in several battles where all but one person on the enemy team is invisible. I`m definitely willing to help stop that.
-
I used hornet and shaft for a while. I forget why I switched to viking, but I never went back. I guess I just liked having a massive D/L
-
The funny part is, a lot of the newer players won't get the reference. Lol
-
Your right about there is no right or wrong. Some prefer a fast hit and run shaft, while others like heavier hulls that can't be counter-sniped in one shot.
-
Shaft and railgun have always been rivals. And they always will be. Of you want a turret solely for camping and nothing else, go with shaft. ( yes, I do know you can use shaft as a mobile weapon. That is relatively hard to do and it's not shafts primary function, but it is an option) If you want a long range turret with a more dynamic gameplay use rail.
-
How much protection is it without mus? Nvm I just did the math. With my current m2 shaft I can kill a non mu'ed viking m1 with 10% protection. Maybe even one with one or two mu steps, but I didn't do the math on that.
-
I've been in several battles where the combatants were mostly shaft users. So even though its is a fairly rare weapon, it can be seen in large numbers. On the topic of removing shaft. If shaft is removed, we will lose the only turret with a coffee machine. And the ability to deliver pizzas.
-
That is, of course, assuming everything has no mu's. I have been able to kill viking m1's with lead before.
-
As an experienced shaft user, I would go with viking shaft and your choice of paint. Personally, I use corrosion since it has decent protection from the most common long range weapons. I do sometimes switch to dirty if there are an obscene number of shafts on the enemy team. From experience I've learned that shaft plus viking is a deadly combo. Of course this is all just my opinion and personal experience. The hull you use is up to you, and I think penguin has a good point. If you want to be a bit more mobile, hunter would be better. However if you just want to sit in one spot and snipe, go with viking. Personally I prefer the latter, but the choice is up to you. As long as you do your job well and turn anything in your line of fire into a burning pile of ash.

Vikings are the dinner plates for shafts to serve pizza and coffee on. ;)
-
I like hunter when I'm using firebird, but when it comes to sniping I'm all for viking
