Don't forget smokys damage decreases with distance. In stadium for example, I've been shot by an m2 smoky and it barely scratched me. Even it's critical hit did nothing. Close range it's no contest. But at long range you can't beat shaft
-
Not exactly, mammoth m2's start to come up as well. Quoting Alek.
-
Lieutenant Colonel? My rank? I got my viking m2 at first lieutenant.
-
Hey I'm on mobile I can't tell.
-
You never know. I've done pretty good with firebird m1 at my rank.
-
Don't get me started on bragging. My shaft scores are beast, but that's beside the point. On topic now, getting a D/L over five is relatively easy with thunder
-
Then again railgun does even less damage against those hulls. Also, using a double power I am one damage from killing an m3 mammoth. (I have shaft m2 with light mu's)
-
Just because you camp doesn't mean you will be a noob with the other weapons. I've used shaft my entire tanki career. This includes mobile shaft using. I started using other weapons on alt accounts and found that I have no problem at all. This isn't the case for everyone, but I do recommend starting alt accounts if you want to try new weapons. (This really only applies to high ranked players with one main combo.)

I wouldn't say my shaft is the stuff of legends, but it certainly does a very (very) good job of destroying an enemy team. Congrats again Medic on the rank-up
-
That sounds about right.@Tankimedic: they are right my m2 shaft with a DP is one dmg. from killing m3 mammoth.
-
Depending on the hull they're using, dirty doesn't stop me.
-
Shaft also has the advantage of being able to hit the barrel/turret of an enemy's tank.
-
You do realize that shaft isn't meant for small maps. Also shaft doesn't dull your abilities in the slightest. I've used shaft since I could buy m0. Right now it is my only m2 weapon, and remains my primary turret. I started a few alternate accounts to test out new weapons, and found that I had no problem with using any weapon. Before my alts, I had never used any other weapon. What does this prove? It shows that just because you use shaft you don't lose skills. You gain them.
-
Shaft is the best IF you know how to use it effectively. If the slow reaload is a problem for you, railgun would be fine. But in terms of power and accuracy, you can't beat shaft. You can PM me if you want shaft tips.
-
Agreed. Also I've been using shaft since I could buy m0 at master corporal. I now have m2 and I'm perfectly fine with it being my only m2 weapon. So far I've seen no reason to nerf it, let alone remove it entirely. Many people think shaft is a noobs weapon. I disagree. In order to help your team win, you need to know how to effectively use the turret. The same goes for any other weapon. There is no reason to nerf/remove shaft. If its such a big problem for you people, try buying a protective paint. Dirty would do wonders for you. I myself have used corrosion since WO3 and have had no problems with enemy shafts.
-
Correct, although I just need a full power shot to kill an m1 viking:
-
Nice! I ranked to, waiting for thunder sale and viking sale for my alts.
-
So you want to nerf one of the only things that shaft has going for it? You also forget the fact that the amount of shaft users is probably the lowest out of all the turrets. In my opinion shaft should stay as it is.
-
I have experience with most of the other turrets, thanks to my alts. I do like thunder so ill go with that. Thanks!
-
Oops double post
-
What do you guys think I should get at the next sale: Firebird m2 Thunder m2 Twins m2 Rico m2 I'd probably use the turret on my viking.
-
Lol my shaft on drugs. I'm only one dmg. from killing m3 mammoth. You wouldn't happen to be referring to me would you?
-
Then get cornered and die because you can't out push the viking.
