But its the message you receive from someone's face or gesture at such circumstance. A smirk or a smile during a funeral might be mistaken to be disrespectful. Although I was being sarcastic I shouldn't have used a funeral as an example.

Agreed, you need people to read them. Without the readers, you won't get any feedback. You must also understand that most of your work will suck at first, and some will never be read. Luckily for you, this platform is moderated. Good writers read and critique it giving you valuable feedback. Then focus on writing anything, even a paragraph a day will do. Then send something but don't expect it to be posted right away, be patient and write something else whilst they look for feedback.
