I used to play it, for like 3-4 years (on and off it) but I can say you can't get to the top without no-lifing..

Paints you could buy, according to preference and your playing style and maps - Tundra Corrosion Vortex Desert Vortex isn't really extraordinary, same with Corrosion, but they are still handy for small-medium maps like Rio and Monte Carlo. Tundra is useful because Railguns really start cropping up everywhere (and Monte Carlo is full of them). Desert is good as well. But, since you are going to buy Thunder M1, best paint for you will be Cedar! But, sadly it unlocks at WO5.

Viking M1. Just see my top combo in ratings page. SIMPLY OP! Don't forget to circle the enemies even in Polygon with Viking, it does work although turning radius isn't much. For M2 hulls (early unlocking), Hornet is good but lacks in health for Poly CP, so your best bet is Hunter M2 maybe.

Huntsman kit is OP. Try targetting that. XP M2 Viking is good for Shaft too. Go for it!
