Is this SMP stuff working right yet? I might try it out if I know it works. Just buying one pass.

Weird stuff, I got promoted during a battle ,near the end , and the next battle I could not kill anyone. Granted my rank exceeded the highest rank , but I have ranked in the same situtation in my last rank and this didn't occur. Anyway I had a a good bit of lag at time, but others I was green to yellow, and firing a rico at x2 at a Wasp and full clips would not kill one. went 0-8 for a 15 min ctf. Has never happened before . Very strange

I don't "hate" railgun , I just shoot at them a-lot. :D

I have NEVER seen an online game where bonuses were multiplicative, so 290% is flat out not gonna happen. In many games, bonuses are additive- i.e. per bonus. If they are here, you should get 180%. If they meant not to have additive properties for bonuses (I.E. you can only use one, and/or the game defaults to your last one bought ) they should have stated this . I think you have a case to get back 2 of the 3. And tanki needs to either state bonuses are additive or you can only use one. I favor using only one , so the most you could have is 100%. IIRC, they said something to this effect in the Video Log 180% would be biased extremely toward big money players, or rich noobs.

And stole it from a team-mate when there was no enemy or battle for it. <_<

I'd wait for a discount. If that doesn't matter , buy it. That is if you have a heavy hull to put it on. Not sure how it would work on a medium. A heavy hull can absorb a-lot of over-heat damage so you can fire a looooong time if needed. Firebird paints help reduce over-heating damage, Vulcan paints just defend against other Vulcans. Storm is the best/cheapest short-range paint that work against fire damage. However i recommend a long range paint like dirty or corrosion, because Vulcan is a long range weapon. It can shred at close/ANY range, but the warm-up time to start shooting can get you killed if an enemy pops-up at short range. It is a fun weapon, moreso than others, in its way.

The wording" Lifetime -One Month" , should be changed to "Duration- One Month". In America at least- "Lifetime" is a duration meaning "forever", not a synonym for the word "duration". The old pass should be removed, from the sale line, as there is no reason for it , compared to the 50% bonus pass.

Getting promoted is nice. Getting a flag home is nice too or saving your flag when the enemy almost gets it home. Unsticking a friendly tank. However the best thing in Tanki is getting in a strategic spot and after the smoke clears from blasting 3,4,5,6, x? enemy tanks Seeing an empty and QUIET battlefield . Checking the tab key to see what havoc you have wrought, and seeing how many tanks you didn't get credit for. I should be a Colonel already  While your enemy are all dead/haven't respawn yet, and any survivors are hiding in fear. Rico and Vulcan are my weapons of choice B)

These aspects of the Mammoth hull I agree with.
-
I inferred 4 times in my post about M3 Mammoth being the exception. But before then, the Mammoth hull is outclassed by Titan, especially at M1. These new armor upgrades "might" change my opinion of Mammoth M2 , I have not looked at the changes as of yet.

Let's discuss increased HP for heavy and medium tanks

I agree 1,000,000%. The game needs to be more than Hornet and railgun tournaments. There are BETTER players, who don't use that combo and never will, unless in Parkour. -

Heavy and medium hulls needed some attention, the game was becoming too much of a Hornet freak show. Being a Titan and Hunter user already, it helped my garage. -
I agree , But I use a-lot of Nito already to get my Titan to move from "snail" to "turtle" speed. :D. Gods know I want to be in the battle rather than missing it. Heavy guns on heavy hulls will benefit. And yea, it mostly helps for fighting those "circling" tactics , that light tanks use.

I was tired of seeing so many wasps and hornets anyway. I am kinda surprised at the Medium upgrades , but thinking about how imbalance the game was toward light hulls , this will help. Its all good to me. I use Titan :D and occasionally Hunter :D :D , when I feel the need for speed, though usually my fps/ping can't handle that. -
Most underrated low level paint is Dirty. It protects against the 2 weapons that deal the most damage per shot, rail and shaft. Rail is the most common weapon in the game and shaft is the deadliest. One thing I think should be in all beginner advice guides. Is buy the XL starter kit , for 8900 crystals(at full price) you get 3 paints that are extremely useful for a long time , dragon , storm and dirty , and cost 30k together. That kit also has a lot of hulls turrets and supplies. I'll be using dragon and dirty for a long time, perhaps forever as those 100K+ paints are exactly that, 100K+. Maybe I'll find something new in a kit one day. :) . Till then I'll stick with Dirty, or dragon if there are too many rico's-(seems to be growing as a popular weapon)

If you have lag/fps- slow play issues , I suggest "slower tanks" , It helps reduce fps/lag problems.
-
I gotta say this issue is "loaded". Great info and articles.

I think the medium and heavier hulls will get an armor boost, check the latest Vid Log. mediums get 5 armor per M level , heavies get 10 armor per M level. Speed boost will now speed up turret rotation too. These two are meant to help med/hv tank users and encourage Med/HV use. The bonus pass "might" get split to 3 different price ones giving diff xp bonus respectively. ie. they want more people in xp battles. no hint of the mouse control yet

With your experience with Smoky, Thunder would be an extremely deadly weapon. I worry about M1 thunders with my rico/titan combo . But there are so few people who know how to use thunder and also have M1, I don't even bother with a paint like corrosion. Which is a good paint for a Thunder user even more. M2 Thunder is really deadly , which is why I don't fight with "stars" ie. captains as they can have that thing. Of course even at double dime , most people can have or have some pretty serious weaponry. Strangely M2 smoky is the last available , so IDK that.
-
Smoky M1 does about 25 damage per hit. Less at 44m+, so yea 5-6 hits against M1 hornet (118 health basic)would be right. With a critical in there , it would die in 4. An anti-smoky paint would add one hit. IMO- Smoky really does not deal out enough damage for me. At closer ranges (20m-)you are dead, before you can crank off enough rounds and at longer ranges(45-105) its damage drops to the extent of just annoying people (5-7 damage/shot). I think your decision to buy M1 smoky was right because it is much better than M0, but there are still the basic limitations that make Smoky, Smoky, and keeps its faithful users a fairly small crowd.

[Issue 32] Vulcan: Players share their impressions
Strawwitz replied to Remaine in Newspaper Archive
The Vulcan will eventually teach all these amateur shaft jockeys to hide their shaft lasers, or change weapons or quit  . -
That would give too much advantage to shafts, and eventually we would have too many noob gizmo shafts running around. Besides there are many easy ways(with practice) to hide your laser already ===================================================== Shaft Tactics- Off-aim the laser from target areas while observing them, So your laser is hitting something a-lot closer to you but you are watching something further away. ie- point at a tree /wall or building closer to you while watching some area 100-200m behind-to the side of them. Another way is to simply sight toward the ground in front of the areas you want to observe. You can point the laser at the ground 100m+ in front of where you intend to shoot (or maybe even right in front of your own tank), and a quick/short sight move up will bring you on target. This method is good for open maps. And with a little hill/rise in front of you, you can be virtually invisible this way. Both ways, no enemy driving through or about to drive through your shooting area, will know you are watching AND WAITING, with a full-charge shot. These methods also minimize any enemy back-tracking your laser to your position/hide.The less distance a laser is visible the better. Also use these tactics if you see a "sitting-duck" out there and don't want to spook them before your shot charges. Off-aim or short-aim, so they don't see their impending death. These tactics work well against enemy shafts, while doing counter-shaft work.

Stick a Vulcan on the thing and have fun.
-
No mention of Vulcan  or Smoky. Vulcan will eat up shafts and rails on Monte Carlo. Another good weapon on Monte Carlo is Rico. If you get on the1st road where the enemy spawns you can rip though the whole enemy team. And on the back road you can shoot them from behind and rip through the 2nd spawn road. Can also hide in the corners on the center road at either end (Behind the ramp) and mow down enemy on the 1st spawn road.
