We are less than one month from the New Year's celebrations. This means it's once again the time for absurd New Year's resolutions you will never keep! We all made a few New Year's resolutions, but we know how they often end up. Here's your job! Instead of impossible-to-keep resolutions, make a New Year's resolutions that will be super witty (in other words humorous) and have a relation to Tanki Online. The best resolution quips will win the prizes. Rules - Your New Year's resolution must be humorous and somehow related to Tanki Online. - You can send in only one New Year's resolution. If you wish to change your entry later, you are allowed to re-enter once! Only your last entry will be accepted. - The New Year's resolution should not be longer than 60 words. We are moving to the third and final round of this year of our rare map promotion campaign. Once again, let's test your writing skills! Task The theme of this month's task is map guide creation. Make a rare map guide about either normal gameplay (e.g. how to play with a certain combination in the map or how to play on the map overall) or about parkouring (OMP, tandem parkouring, etc.). You are allowed to use past Newspaper guides as a pattern for your own guides; however, do not plagiarize any information and try to stay as original as possible. You are free to choose only maps from this list; Atra, Duality, Deathtrack, Factory, Lost Temple, Novel, Scope, Solikamsk, Wolfenstein Before hopping straight into making your map guide, create a few battles on the map you chose, as giving a really good advice is only possible when you have an experience playing on the particular map. Map guides will be judged on: - quality and usefulness of the advice, - originality e.g. use of statistics, graphs, tables or other features that aren't normally present in guides, - complexity of the guide, - use of visual features (pictures, GIFs or videos that will further emphasize your points). Rules - Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Anyone proven guilty of plagiarizing an already existing material will be disqualified. - There's no word limit for this contest, but since a really good guide will probably be very lengthy, please put your guides under spoilers. No no, I am not talking about SD zones, I am asking how will you move for example Mammoth from gold box spot near the Repair Kit if you can't damage him in this mode.

Interesting suggestion, but what about drop spots like in the Island map (between the houses). If you are in this Gold box hunting mode it's impossible to move for example Mammoth from the spot which practically guarantees success at the expense of competitiveness.

Welcome, tankers! Without further ado, here are the results of last month's first Map Renaissance contest. Contest Results Unfortunately, I must announce this month's renaissance contest did not go very well. The clue hunting mixed with the overall low popularity of the maps created a deadly combination and thus we were not able to find any winners. Despite the fact I am disappointed we won't distribute the contest prizes, this displeasing experience will hopefully help us improve next installments. To compensate this failure to a certain degree, there are special prizes awaiting in the November's Map Renaissance contest. My concern that a crafting contest will not harvest much appreciation proved to be wrong. We did receive some great photos of your crafts and it's time to name and crown the best contestants out there. In the first place, winning the main prize of 40,000 crystals, is no one other than with an excellent artistic design of the Isida/Hornet combination. Placed second and getting the 30,000 crystal prize is with a detailed display of the Thunder/Viking XT combination. Third place winning 20,000 crystals goes to and his beautiful wooden creation of the Railgun/Hornet XT combination. Special consolation prize of 10,000 crystals goes to - his creation can be found here.
