  1. Everything else on the scorecard was normal. I would have, had I seen it in time. I looked for that player in the next battle, but he had left.
  2. Yesterday, on the scorecard at the end of the battle, I saw a white dot where the person's rank should be, no name, but the player scored in 4th place out of 8 positions. What's that all about? No screenshot. I had already clicked-in to stay for the next battle. I was looking over my score and the team's score. I glanced at the enemy's standings and saw the white dot with no rank or name. The next battle started loading before I could get a screenshot.

    Poll about computers

I'm a little more sporadic. It depends on what I'm doing and how long I'll be on. If I'm working on a long term project that requires a lot of web surfing and I know I'll be on for several hours, I'll create a file for it and reboot once during the day and again in the evening, just to keep the signal fresh. If I'm working short term or just messing around, not doing anything important, like playing games, I'll let it go into sleep mode by itself but turn it off at supper time. If I want to use the computer in the evening, I know I'll have a fresh signal. When I got my first computer in 2002, I was pretty much in the dark about computers. I didn't know what dot com, dot gov or dot anything meant. A web was something a spider spun and a browser was someone walking through the store looking but not buying. I bought a book titled Computers for Dummies and started reading. It mentioned that a computer should be shut down at least 4 times a day, because over a short period of time, the signal begins to deteriorate rather quickly. The computer needed to be shut down to refresh the signal. I did that religiously for years. Since then computers have become more sophisticated and reliable, so they don't need to be shut down that often any more. It was a hard habit to break. A couple years ago, I read if you leave your computer on for long periods of time without using it, you're leaving the computer open for hackers, keyloggers, viruses sent out in bulk, and a few other nasty Trojans. True? Not true? I don't know. I have a good antivirus and anti-everything-else, so I shouldn't be too concerned. But I shut it down anyway if I won't be using it for an hour or more. New Supply: Flashbang Mine

@deadtoyou.....When you made this suggestion, did you put yourself in the pursuing tank? Suppose this was implemented into the game. You are pursuing an enemy flag bearer and he detonates a flashbang. Is this something you would be happy with or curse the day you suggested it? Personally, I'm against it. I don't like the idea of being blinded, even partially, when playing this type of game. I know it's just a couple of seconds, but that would also blind me from seeing any other enemy and render me helpless to defend myself. It's just as bad as having a bad lag where your tank doesn't respond for a few seconds while being bombarded by the enemy. For 2 seconds, I would be out of touch with my environment and a sitting duck.

Does paint affect which player you attack?

Yeah, me too. I was referring to 's profile.

    In-game "Disasters"

It wouldn't be total annihilation of a team, but would affect those within close range. The gas would disperse, but the effects would last a short time, like Firebird afterburn. Kinda like Firebird going into enemy base and throwing napalm on several team members. Firebird dies, but the effects remain. (Gas disperses but the effects remain).

Does paint affect which player you attack?

Yeah, especially when you drug yourself. Can you honestly say the same thing without drugging? Try playing a few battles and keep your fingers and other body parts away from the numbers.
  9. As proposed by OP, those who have teamed up cannot damage nor destroy each other. As you put it, it sounds like one team is playing TDM and the other is playing DM. Two different battle modes in the same battle. If both teams team up, then it's no longer DM but TDM.

Similar to the Firebird after effects?
  11. Still sounds like TDM. What's the difference between TDM and DMT?

    Tanki Online theories

There's a few ways this could be played. One idea I have is to start out in Esplande with the usual Red and Blue teams. After a specified time or if one team completely quits (for sake of discussion let's say red is the losing team), that triggers the breached wall. Gameplay: Blue and Red battle it out on Esplande. At the end of 15 minutes Blue is winning, but the clock doesn't end the Esplande battle. A timer signals the end of 15 minutes, making the wall penetrable for the winning team. (I'm not sure which wall in Esplande you want to be breached). However, they have to break down the wall with weapons while still battling Red. When the wall is passable, what's left of Blue will pass through to Silence, but Red cannot pass through and the battle is over for them. They collect their winnings and go home. Blue does not collect winnings. We are now in Silence, where another Red team is waiting. Those who died while trying to break through the wall can now respawn in Silence (no pun intended). The battle continues, as above. When the conditions are met for the Silence wall to be breached (as above), the winning team will go through to Massacre. The battle continues, as above. This time, when conditions are met, instead of penetrating a wall, the battle ends. All collect their winnings and go home. If Blue loses the second skirmish, they collect their winnings from the first and second battle and go home. Then Red advances through to Massacre. However, if Blue manages to win all three skirmishes, they will collect their winnings for all three. Blue has lost the second skirmish and the signal has gone off for the winning team (in this case Red) to breach the wall. They will still have to battle Blue while trying to penetrate the wall. Red goes through and Blue collects their winnings and goes home. Those on Red who have died trying to breach the wall, can now respawn in Massacre, where they face a new Blue team. This is the final battle. Whoever wins is declared the Superior team and collects not only their share of the battle fund, but also a bonus. The bonus could be extra crystals in the battle fund or a gold rain. Those who leave any battle forfeits their share of the battle fund, as in any other battle, and cannot rejoin until the wall has been breached. They can fill any empty space on either team in the next skirmish. However, if anyone leaves during the final battle, they cannot rejoin and collects nothing. During a battle, if space is open, any player can fill that slot, except for someone who has left. This prevents players quitting a losing team to join a winning team during the same skirmish. This battle mode can be very long, especially for those who stay for all three skirmishes.

Does paint affect which player you attack?

Non-Buyer here. So, you think because I'm wearing the default paint, that I'm a noob? Paint is a big sign that says, "This is how I waste my money. I have nothing better to do with it than to buy this useless paint." Some players are Non-Buyers because they have more important things to do with their money, like every day needs to survive. And this makes me a noob? How Dare you!!!

Does paint affect which player you attack?

Doesn't matter to me in the least. The enemy is the enemy, no matter what color the tank is wearing. In DM I try to look for a tank being attacked and come in for the kill. A kill is a kill no matter what color the tank is wearing. The paint is the least of my worries.
  16. @Magenta, you have a good post going, here. Too bad you're not able to keep up with it. Please designate someone who can. It would be a lot easier if all the names are in one place instead of spread over 4 pages. (Now 5 pages)
  17. Quite often, when the battle ends, I'm booted from battle before I'm given the choice of staying or leaving. I get the black screen without any messages. When I refresh, I'm in the lobby. So, I don't know how many crystals I made (unless I happen to notice before going into battle), what my position was, nor do I know my score.
  18. In Brest, there was a little more than a minute left in battle and one more flag would have broken a tie. Four of us went in to grab the enemy flag. We were under heavy fire. Three teammates grabbed the flag and were killed while going out the door. I was the only survivor and one hit from being killed. I grabbed the flag and made a flying leap down into the valley below. I landed on top of a RK but couldn't pick it up. I was killed and the battle ended with a tie.
  19. I searched through the rules, but I cannot find the answer, unless I've overlooked it. RE: Nicknames In the rules, it gives many examples of types of Nicknames that are not allowed and that the player's account will be blocked until the Nickname is changed. It also mentions that a player has one month to change a Nickname for free. If after the one month period is over and a Nickname is reported as being against the rules, will the player be forced to pay for the Nickname change even though that person didn't realize at the time of Nickname activation that the Nickname was offensive in any way? When a new account is created, the person is told if that Nickname is taken and gives alternate suggestions. However, I have seen Nicknames that I would consider offensive and/or against the rules. So, those types of Nicknames are not blocked at the time of being created.

Teams play TDM regardless of battle mode

So 40, 50, 80 crystals for 15 minutes of hard work is fine with you. At this rate, it doesn't pay to use crystals, you'll never make that up. If it's a close battle and our team lost by a couple points or one flag, then yes, it was a fun battle. But if the team is full of noobs or mults, then no, it's not a fun battle and I quit. A lot of teams only care about one flag. Once that one flag is made, they don't care to make any more. It's humiliating to lose CTF 7 to 1, TDM 100 to 30 or CP 100 to 10, especially when it could have been prevented. Sometimes I wonder about a team's mentality and ask myself if anyone on this team is older than 5 years old.

Teams play TDM regardless of battle mode

I'm not talking about 5 battles on the same map with the same team. I'm talking about 5 different maps and 5 different teams, 5 different battles. Modes were 3 TDM and 2 CTF. Let me clarify a little better. I was really angry and didn't make myself clear. The M0 Mammoths were on the TDM's with Smokey, Thunder and Railgun. At that rank, they should have at least halfway decent tanks and turrets. Six shots from Smokey couldn't kill a Viking. Thunder was was doing very little damage. Railgun couldn't kill a Wasp. The rest of the team was doing their best. I think the Mammoths were "plants" from the other team. The other team were all that great, but for a TDM, they knew the Mammoths were easy kills. I can't make out the names of players above the tanks, it's all blurred. I didn't think to look at the lineup to see if these Mammoths were the same ones on all three TDM matches on different maps. On the CTF battles, we were doing decently....at first. The other team didn't beat us, it looked as if we were letting them beat us. At the beginning of the battle, we got a strong lead on both maps. The battles were already in progress when I joined the winning team. But then it's like they just quit trying, or something. The winning team started multing, hiding behind buildings and not moving, Both teams were full. It was like someone said, "Ok, we did our thing the first half, now it's your turn." The ones not multing or hiding did very little to defend the base. The other team just waltzed in and waltzed out with our flag. Suddenly, we were being spawn killed. That wouldn't have happened if the winning team didn't just quit. The winning teams were strong and easily took out the losing team. I've said it before and I'll say it again. On late night and early morning battles (I'm UTC -5) aren't played the same as daytime battles. It's like it's orchestrated by someone on Skype or some other media. My Isida account is a Colonel. By the time a player reaches the General ranks, they shouldn't be playing with M0's, but they do as if to lose on purpose. CTF is TDM. Then suddenly, the entire opposing team, as if on cue, will go into the other team's base. A big battle ensues over the flag. Both teams battling it out until they grab the flag and score, Then it's back to the usual TDM mode. The losing team never leaves the base and if any more attempts are made on the flag, it's usually one or two will come over, grab the flag and leave with little or no opposition. But I have also seen where one team dominates at the beginning of the battle, then suddenly seems to lose interest and stops playing. Then the other team will dominate during the second half. I tell you, it's crazy!!!. When the battle ends, everyone respawns to the other side and does it all over again. There is something very fishy going on here and I'm here to tell you........I don't like it!!!! They play by different rules and break rules by all the mults, M0's at the rank of Generals. Who is behind all this???

Teams play TDM regardless of battle mode

I do, too. But maybe what @TheBlackChick is saying, is to stick around, it only gets better. Although, last night, I stuck around only to find out the losing team I was on actually lost each time. Nope, 50 crystals is not enough for me to stick around and build the battle fund for the winning team. I was on one of my higher accounts that uses Isida as the main turret. I usually rack up a lot of points and XP. But last night, out of 5 battles the most crystals I got in one battle was 108. The rest were under 100 crystals. The mults were working overtime and the Mammoths were M0. My team was getting slaughtered before I could get to them, even with speed activated.

    Destroyed tank paint

I don't buy paint anymore since it is nothing but cosmetic and tells the world "I'm a buyer and had nothing better to do with my money than to buy this useless paint. Don't I look grrrrreat?" The paint design you suggest might work well on a map like Forest if you're camping in one of the bushy areas. As far as players thinking you were destroyed, this may have been useful before the tanks started vanishing almost immediately. I don't know why the Dev's took that away. It was good strategy and I used it a lot to block an enemy tank. Unfortunately, it blocked your own teammates, too.

Teams play TDM regardless of battle mode

Ok. So, now we play TDM until the last 5 minutes (or less) of the battle. Then one flag is captured or all the CPs are changed. How do you determine which is the winning team and which is the losing team before that happens? I'm in it for the crystals, not the XP. I'm a non-buyer and depend on the crystals for upgrades. If I buy supplies, I get 10 or less. Staying with the losing team usually gets me less than 100 crystals. Many battles (on the losing team), the only one to get at least 100 crystals is the top scorer. If I use supplies, less than 100 crystals isn't worth the effort, so I quit. Now, do I have to stay until the bitter end to determine if my efforts were actually worth it? I may not be the best player, but I try hard to do my best on each battle. I'm in there getting my tracks muddy, dirty and blown off. If I see both teams playing TDM, how do I know whether to stay and keep trying or to leave and look for another battle? Edit: I know by my rank, I should know all this stuff. But the game plan has changed since the merger, the MM, and now I feel as though I'm a Recruit again.
