That I understand. I do that too, sometimes. What I don't understand is when an entire team acts as if they don't know what game mode they are playing.
-
But the objective is CP. The team with the most CP points wins the battle, not the team with the most kills. What about CTF? The objective is to capture the flag. The team with the most captures wins, not the team with the most kills. Edit: Please re-read the part about CTF. I've been in battles where the final score was 10-0. The other team never made the slightest attempt at trying to grab the other team's flag. Too often I've seen a team stay at their base and never leave it. Grabbing their flag was too easy. I've been on teams that never made the attempt at trying to prevent the grab. One tank could do it without any problem.

Teams play TDM regardless of battle mode
Widow-Maker replied to Widow-Maker in Teams play TDM regardless of battle mode Archive
I'm really getting tired of this type of game play. Battle after battle after battle I see one team playing TDM regardless of battle mode and the other staying with the objective. In CTF: The team playing TDM will not even make an attempt to go after the enemy's flag. Sometimes they will go into enemy territory, but ignore the flag. If their flag is being stolen, they don't seem to care. They don't make an effort to kill the flag bearer. If someone does kill the flag bearer, they don't try to retrieve it. They just let it sit there and let the enemy team grab it again for the capture. In CP: Pretty much the same as CTF. They play TDM, not CP. I've seen a team member go right by a CP of the opposite color and not stop to try to change it. The entire map will be one color throughout the whole battle and not once will the other team try to change it. They stay near their base and some never venture out of it. In TDM: Yeah now they have it right. There have always been mults in this game. But now, it seems even worse. Supposedly, the MM was going to put an end to that. Not so. These mults don't seem to disappear after 5 minutes. I was just in a CTF battle (off hand, I don't recall the map, but could look it up) where there was a Mammoth (our team) sitting directly on the flag standard. Not unusual. But this was different. A Wasp had stolen the flag and was trying to capture it. The Wasp wasn't heavy enough to move the Mammoth. My Dictator and another Mammoth managed to move the immobile Mammoth....it didn't respond to being moved. I left the base to help capture another flag (the other team was playing TDM) and escorted the flag bearer back to base. Again, that same Mammoth was sitting on the flag standard and wouldn't move, nor made any response to being moved. Later, a few came to our base to grab our flag. The Mammoth was sitting on the flag standard. It took everything they had to kill the Mammoth, still, It didn't respond to the attack. I saw what was going on, but I was way the other side of the map and got killed trying to get over there. I'm sure other team mates saw it too, but made no effort to try to stop the attack. That same Mammoth stayed on our flag standard the entire battle. I didn't stay at our base to see if it got back on the flag standard under its own power or if someone pushed it back there. I played CTF on the new Massacre map for the first time. I see the blue flag is on the blue team and red flag on the red team, instead of the other way around. I was on blue. Not one team member even went near the top of the center hill. They all stayed at the bottom and none behind the wall where the storage bins are. Red team attacked us enmass and slaughtered us....like shooting fish in a barrel. Blue team respawned and stayed at the bottom of the center hill. Each attack by Red was the same and the outcome was the same....they grabbed our flag and captured it. No attempt was made to stop the carnage nor from Red grabbing out flag. Blue gave very little opposition. I think the whole blue team (except me) were mults and moved just enough to stay in battle. It's almost as if the whole battle was pre-planned and was predetermined that Red was going to win. One other game play I've been seeing happen mostly on CTF. Both teams are playing TDM. During the last few minutes of the battle (usually the last couple minutes) one of the teams (as if on cue) will go into the other team's base and start making attempts at grabbing the flag. The team on defense will make an effort to avoid the grab. Once the flag is captured, then both teams are back to TDM with the losing team making no attempt to capture the other team's flag. All this seemed to start when the servers were merged and still continues with the MM. I don't understand what is going on. Why all the TDM? Why no attempts at grabbing flags? Why not changing the CP color? I am totally confused. -
I live USA. I didn't look at my ping, but if the ping or fps are way off, I'll notice it in gameplay. I wasn't detecting any any lag at all.

I apologize, it was not Bobruisk. I took another look at the wiki maps. It was Kolhoz. If you look at the summer view, you will see a square horseshoe shaped prop. To the right of that is a ramp and to the right of that is the wall I was hiding behind. You can't see it on the map, but the player shooting at me was positioned in the far left corner across the map. I was well behind the wall and he was hitting me directly in the center of my tank. I was parallel to the wall

Since this last update, I've noticed changes in some of the maps. What changes have you noticed? 1...Brest CP no longer has a cp inside the buildings. 2...Year 2042 Tunnel going under the building on the right (looking from Red team) is gone. The RK is still there, though, but on the ground.
-
I was playing Bobruisk using Shaft/Dictator. I had fired a shot at a Vulcan/Mammoth as he was firing at me. I didn't make a kill. As I hid behind a wall to reload, he was still firing at me.....right through the wall!! I raised the camera up to make sure I was behind the wall and out of his line of site. His hail of bullets were coming right through the middle of the wall and killed me. His bullets were not going in the direction of where I was, but rather followed me behind the wall and continued to fire until I was dead. I don't see that as a lag. Can anyone else explain it? Edit: map was Kolhoz, not Bobruisk

I just played 3 battles (ctf, cp, tdm). I thought all the battles were going to be balanced, at least that's what I read. They are not balanced. I didn't look at the team line-up after being logged into a battle. I was wondering why I was doing so poorly, now I know why. I have Shaft M1. I couldn't kill anyone. Some of the shots were dead on, but didn't register at all. The ones that did register were less than 200 hit points. Still others were less than 100. Never saw that before. It was like everyone had a fully upgraded module against Shaft. I shot a Wasp point blank range and I felt like he was just laughing at me. I even hit him twice in arcade mode.....that was a big laugh, too. After the opposing team realized how weak my turret was against them, they did not fear me at all. I hit a Mammoth with a full load and did only 84 damage. I don't pick battles where my rank is at the very bottom of the list. I know I won't stand a chance and become fodder for every turret. Now, I have no choice in the matter. Freedom of Choice has been taken away. Maybe that's fine for a Country under a Dictatorship (or is it an Oligarchy?), but it's not for the Free World. Sorry if I stepped on some toes in that last statement. I know Politics aren't suppose to be discussed here, but sometimes, inadvertently, it is stumbled upon. I clicked on the last option on the list (pick a battle?) where the servers are. I was sent to Server 3 where there were a lot of Generals and Legends. Not my type of battle. I tried to change servers but was sent back to the lobby. I clicked on it again, this time I was in Server 1. Nope, didn't want that one either. I clicked to change servers and was sent back to the lobby....again. Maybe there is some freedom of choice there, but you certainly don't make it very easy. A friend tried to make group battle. Nothing was happening. I told him to choose a battle. He asked me "How do I do that?" I said just click on a battle mode, like CTF." He said, "I can't. All the buttons are blanked out." He was the one who invited us and was ranking player of the group. All the others said they had the same thing. None of us could pick a battle mode. I noticed changes to maps. Actually, of the 3 I played, the only one I noticed a change was Brest CP. No cp inside the buildings. I like that. They never belonged inside the buildings to begin with. I played TDM on that Christmas/NewYears map. Kinda missed seeing the tree. While I was in the queue for a battle, it said average waiting time was 5 seconds. Those 5 seconds turned into 2 minutes. There were 384 in the queue. When the battle first starts, there is some lag that lasts about 1 to 2 minutes (seems to vary) and the graphics are a bit grainy, but then it clears up.

First off, there were no bathrooms nearby. Secondly, have you ever been bit by fire ants? They don't call them fire ants for nothing. Even after the ant is brushed off, the fiery sting is still there. Besides, it was a secluded part of the park and I didn't expect anyone would come around that area that soon.
-
I was walking around a wooded area in a public park. Something among the bushes caught my eye and went to see what it was. I stepped into a mound of fire ants that quickly went up my legs and started biting. I ran out of the wooded area and stripped off my geans. I was bushing the ants off when suddenly I was made quite aware that a couple managed to crawl into my underwear. I pulled down my underwear to get them off when a couple teenage girls and their parents came around the bend where I was standing nearly naked. A very embarrassing moment.

I generally accept. But if that person becomes a pest, I'll delete the name. Occasionally, I'll look up the profiles and if it looks like someone hasn't played in quite a while, I'll delete the name. I watch the lobby chat quite a bit and will join in on the discussions if something interesting comes up. At times, someone will become arrogant and then send me a friend request. I won't accept.

You have to remember words in one language may not be present in other languages, so the translator tries to come up with a substitute word and will sometimes reword the sentence to accommodate the substitute word. For instance: Many years ago, Immigrants wanting citizenship in the USA, had to be able to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in English. Some complained it was too difficult to recite in English. Others said they could recite it, but didn't know what the words meant. At this point, there was a big influx of Spanish speaking Immigrants. So, the Government said, "Okay, then recite it in Spanish." A lot of Americans protested against this decision. Someone who was proficient in Spanish and English, translated our Pledge of Allegiance from Spanish to English. It had an altogether different connotation, because some of the English words don't exist in Spanish and the wording had to be changed to make sense of the substitute word. Now, the Pledge of Allegiance can be recited in an Immigrant's own language. I've been searching the web, trying to find the Spanish to English translation, but am unable to find it.

Or Mammoths for blocking traffic or going too slow. :D I've seen tanks go up and over Mammoths.

I'm not sure I fully understand. Correct me if I'm wrong. You're saying, when in battle, you can challenge someone that's in the same battle. If the challenge is accepted, both of you are whisked away to a 1v1 DM map. The challenge will last the usual 15 minutes. Both will receive their portion of the battle fund at the time the challenge was accepted. Both will get battle funds from the challenge. If, perhaps, the challenge is declined, possibly because the one you challenge has a chance of getting a big portion of the present battle fund, then the challenge becomes null and void. The challenger will have to wait 24 hours before sending another challenge to that person. The person you challenge cannot be on your Friends List. Wouldn't this open the door for stalking and trolling this person? Which means you will have to enter a battle that player is in, not to participate in the battle, but for the sole purpose of sending a challenge or, yet, another challenge. Then you have the choice of either actively participating in the battle or leave. Some players might start trolling battles, looking for what they may consider "easy prey," interrupt the natural flow of the battle, hide behind a building (or not) and start sending out challenges to half the people playing the battle. When no challenges are accepted, then the challenger can go on to the next battle and do the same. This can be looked upon as a form of sabotage, because the challenger is not participating in the battles, but rather trolling the battles. I think you have a good idea going, but don't make it a requirement to send the challenge within the battle. Instead, add "Challenge" to the drop down menu when you click on the player's nickname. If your challenge is accepted, then both of you will be whisked away to the 1v1 DM map from the lobby.

Americans say the Brits drive down the wrong side of the road and the Brits say the Americans drive down the wrong side of the road. So, who is right? In the heat of battle, should Americans drive like the Brits or the Brits drive like the Americans?

I have some questions for you: How come just once a year? Is it because of the miles between your Cousin and her? If you found you like her alot, what are the chances of you meeting for a date? I don't know your situation, but do either of you have a car or access to one? I'm not asking for your age. I think meeting on social media is a bit cheesy, but if circumstances are as you say, once a year, then FB may be your foot in the door. See if she's on FB or other social media. If you find her, send her a friend request. If she accepts, then at least you have one foot off home plate, on your way to first base. Try chatting with her. Get to know her likes and dislikes. Ask her if she has any pets. Show an interest in them, if she does. Share some ideas, thoughts. See how she responds. But take your time, don't be pushy. If she doesn't respond right away, don't get upset. She may need time to think. All this takes loads of time. Be patient. Don't let on your intentions...not at first. That will come in time. If she seems to like you, ask her if it's okay to call her. If so, she'll give you her number. Choose your words well. Tell her exactly what you mean or want to know. Leave nothing to assumption. Keep it small talk at first and especially, keep it clean!!! Show her you are a Gentleman. Don't start with, "Gee, I think you're cute (pretty, gorgeous, etc.). That sends the wrong message. There is plenty of time. If she's interested, she will respond to you. If not, then move on. I think an icebreaker might be, "I remembered you from when we were younger, playing on the farm. It was fun. Don't you think so?" "Do you remember that day when..........?" That's something you know you both have in common. Most of the responses you have gotten, thus far, are very good. Every guy has his own way of meeting young women. (Please don't call her a "girl" that can be viewed as being condescending). Just remember, what works for one may not work for another. Each circumstance is different. Good luck on your new adventure.

Not really hacking, but impossible things that happened during a battle you've experienced.

One of my lower accounts has Shaft M0. I've seen Wasps survive a full charge head on. Even if I managed to get an arcade mode off before I died, he still survived. Occasionally, I'll hit a target at a distance and the damage doesn't register. At first, I'll think, maybe I need to reload the page. But then it may not happen again for quite a while or not at all with during that battle. Just once in awhile, I'll see that happen. It's usually when I target a Mammoth. -
I've seen this happen with each new turret. It's overpowered, dominates the battle, a lot of players buy them. When some are getting up to M3 and M4, the turret is nerfed.
-
I haven't had that experience at any of my low rank accounts. But I have in a higher account. Rank: Colonel....Turret/Hill: Isida/Hornet.... Map: Hill, CTF....Team size: 4v4....Score when I joined: 4-0, There was one slot open and that was on the winning team. All the players on my team were Gismos (that was before Legends) with Mammoths/Firebirds. The other team had a variety of hulls and turrets. I kept out of sight and healed my team mates. Occasionally, if an opponent got on top the hill with tracks hanging over, I would help with the kill. Three times, I was pushed off the map on purpose and not by just one player. Finally, I asked, "Why?" One player said, "Can't you take a hint? We don't want you. Go!!" Another player said, "Come back when you grow up." Another said, "Your rank is too low." So I gave them the finger and left. When I got back in the lobby, I checked the ranks of the losing team. There were 1 Colonel, 1 Marshal, and 2 Gismos, as I recall. I checked back with the scoreboard, occasionally. The score didn't change and a 4th player never joined or maybe did and was told to leave.

Your first guess is almost right. I could afford to buy them, very occasionally. But there are players who can't ever afford them...Teens, Adults. Do you know that there are players living in poor countries that can't even afford to buy occasionally? Is it fair for them? Is it their fault? No, it's not. Why not make the game fair for all players? Not just for those who can afford to waste the money. Older adults play, too. Some have a very limited income. Why not make if fair for them? Your second guess is almost correct, too. If supplies were taken out of the game, hulls and turrets upgraded to match the boost of the supplies, then there would be no need for supplies. All things would be equal, at that point. Oh, you can still waste your money, if it's burning a hole in you pocket and you have nothing better to do with it. Sure. There's still the MU's, or you can still buy fully upgraded turrets/hulls. Shoot, $50.00 this month....$50.00 next month.....$600.00 a year. If you can afford that and still keep up with monetary responsibilities, fine. Personally, I can't. This is a fun game. Too many have quit because of updates that costs more money, I don't want to be one of them. Read the forums...all of it. Tank is losing players. Instead of making the game fair for all, they just add more money costing updates.
-
You're right, I did. I was more focused on damage, armor and speed. I'd like to see all of them dropped, but for the sake of argument, they could stay in. RK as drops. Mines wouldn't be upgraded, but with the increase of armor, they wouldn't do that much damage, anyway. I don't consider myself as a loser. Just a non-buyer up against buyers who make the battles unbalanced. Am I a loser because I think my money could be put to better use? Games don't put food on the table, a roof over my head, a car in the driveway nor pay the bills. The way I look at it, I might as well throw the money out in the street. Would you take $50.00 a month out of your wallet and hand it over to the next stranger who happened to walk by? IMO, that's exactly what I'd be doing. If supplies were taken out of the game, hulls and turrets upgraded to equal the boost supplies give, what would be crucial about them? On one of my other accounts, I bought a Pro pass. I'm usually on late at night because of domestic responsibilities. I didn't buy it for parkour, which is what's usually happening in Pro at that time.

Druggers...you know who you are. You're the ones who constantly have supplies activated, have high kills because of it and then pat yourself on the back for being such good players. You're the ones who refuse to fight in a Pro-Battle that has supplies turned off. I have a few questions for you... Supposing TO decided that supplies were, indeed, an unnecessary evil and decided to delete them from the game, upgrade all turrets and hulls to equal that of the supplies (more damage, more armor, more speed) and then, somehow, reimbursed you for the real world money you spent on the ones remaining in your account. 1...Do you think you would have enough skills to do as well as you do now? 2...Would you still be hitting the number buttons for more and get angry because nothing happened? 3...Would you rage quit Tanki because they didn't sell supplies anymore, even though you turret and hull is equal to that of the supplies? 4...Would you come to the forums and thank the Dev's for this great update that would save you money and make the battles equal for all, again? --------------------------OR------------------------------ 5...Would you come to the forums and complain about the lousy update? 6...Are you addicted to drugs (supplies) ?

I clicked on that link. You're right, it is possible he was using the modified camera view. ( A little off topic: Those are great pics. First time I knew how Stadium actually looks, though I've played it many times. I does look like a Stadium, minus the seats. Complete with monitors and lighting. There's even a town outside the walls). Back on topic: Thanks for the info. i wish I had the patience to figure out how to use those controls. I just can't seem to get the hang of it.
-
I have a Magnum on one of my other accounts. I tried using it, but I just can't seem to get the hang of the controls. It's not an easy turret to learn.
-
Yes, I've seen some good Magnum players, but this is the first time I've seen such pin-point accuracy repeatedly. His hits were no accident or luck. He was hitting us on top, inside the building, in the center valley, roads on both sides, behind the cement walls. I saw him land one behind the building. Most players set the turret at a certain angle and adjust the position of the tank accordingly. He had to make constant angle changes in a matter of seconds. I'm not trying to suggest he was hacking. I'm just curious and amazed. As far as splash damage, I've seen some good damage from other players, but this is the first time I've seen this much damage. I'm not a Magnum user, so I don't know all the dynamics of the turret. Can he do that much damage without DD activated?
