Considering you're experiencing issues with the browser and the client, it can be concluded that the problem isn't the client's. It sounds like you have a slow internet connection. Clearing the cache sometimes does the trick. Try using another browser. For quick fire stuff I use Bandicam but for the important stuff I use Adobe Captivate.

They didn't increase it, they just added a 0 to everything so that there wouldn't be decimal point in the damage counters, which would make it cluttered.
