I don't know when the sale comes, but it most likely will only effect either one of these kit groups. Nomad, Prometheus and Eyafjallojöfuvk or Redneck and vandal So if it hits the first what should i buy, the second is quite obvious for me, but you can still say vandal, if you think it's better, just tell me why. And if it get's in the middle of the kits changing up, which 1 of the 5 would be ideal for future generalissimo battles with my garage? I'll play any kinds of battles, except oppositions, and i enjoy all roles on the battlefield (except isida).

½ of a m4 doesn't make that much difference paired with m3, And logically thinking you are gonna want the maximum result in the maximum amount of battles. 1 m4 will definetly get used alot more than ½m4 combo, i would def. upgrade smoky, since you can play it almost everywhere and later getting m4 hull won't be a problem. However i can't say it's what gene battles lack of, since im not that involved. It would of course be very optimal to have a gun, that perfects most of the teams you join: like m3 isida at bridgalier, shaft/rail at marshal twins m2 at colonel or fire m2 at major. Smoky is of no use if many genes in your team allready use it and have it m4... i think vulcan m4 is quite common, so not that one. Unless you aret planning on the career of the sitting duck, or an isida magnet. I wouldn't go m3 xp, since bp is alot more fun, and you can get that latter. I would'nt buy wasp, since your light side is allready rather satisfactory for normal battles. I don't know about africa, since im not familiar with the most common gene guns, but it sure would fit your garage nicely.

M2 Twins vs M4 Rico: Island 1 v 1, who would win?
stawp_thundertime replied to FC_BayernMunchen in Archive
You actually made a topic of this, im definetly roflcopering my way to downstairs. *climbs back up So viking m3. 254 protection, takes 7 rico shots, and they can all be shot at the optimal rate of fire:meaning 2.82 seconds to destroy viking m3. 6 recharge times of 0.47 seconds. For twins m2s 15.24 damage per shot it would take 17 shots. So a total of 4 seconds. 16 recharge times times of 0.25 seconds. Twins m2 vs rico m4 no paints. viking m3. rico owns on any range. However, the heavier the tanks get, the more protection paints get, and if DAs and healths are used equally, Twins gets adwantage. Seriously, tf is this. His charts CLEARLY say DPM. This means damage per minute.... MINUTE it's not like 1v1 situations last a freaking minute, or are remotly face to face. You both know the effectiveness of a gun is 100% dependant on the survival time you get. I cry everytim (nah im still roflcoptering around the house)... tell me something serious so i'll calm down from this hectic state :D Now we all know why this topic exists, it's a responce to "Even m1 twins will own m4 rico in close combat fight in equal conditions" that sure wasn't the brightest thing panelak ever said, but it was 1 slipped word, and you both know that's not what he meant. His topic is useful, and provides info 1 can use however he wants, give the man some credit, instead of trying to put up a fight. -
Allways thought tanki is cheap, since you see so many buyers running around. I haven't honestly even looked at crystal prices before, and this is complete news to me. Cray  Im not alone right..... right?

Ik ik "abstract value in perfect conditions" Thats why i said "the true potential damage" instead of dpm, for me the actual potential is all that matters, and i only brought this up so noone would mistake high dpm for pure efficiency. And no manuals or guides remove the restrictions that range, terrain, your survival chances etc. have on your guns ability to deal damage. "In general DPM shows 2 things: 1) your chances to win if u're involved in close combat fight 2)Gun's potential effectivness in mass drug battles. Ik you propably meant: your chances to win on a close combat, if you have the same protection, your distance is approcimately 0 and you can't actually use the traits that make your gun different from others, because close combat is solved with traits such as freezing, selfheal, burn damage etc. However ranks seperate our points of view on combat. Actual drugwars have paints, so diversity is needed. Low rank drugwars are a joke, with theis unequal skill, equipment, internet etc. "How much damage with particluar gun you can deal depends on your skills and game knoweldge." Your skill isn't that much of a variable, it progresses on steady paste, usually quite slowly, the actual variables are the enemy, and your team. Their skill, equipment, map etc. They effect how long you live, and are you going to do damage. However this isn't as that evident on low ranks. "That's particular case. My calculations is more usefull for team modes." Sure, every battle is a particular case. The calculations coul've been used by the winning smoky, he might have calculated exactly how much time he needed to get the kills before his enemies would take a shot and steal them. Why do you say: "My calculations is more usefull for team modes."? They are equally useful in any gamemode if you use them in the right context. ^_^

You will never reach the DPM, no matter how properly you used your gun, the true potential damage is 100% dependent on the map, and the teams... sure particular cases are pointless for making a graph, but as my goals are on actually being able to deal the damage, i like to bring up the importance of the actual envoirment, where the damage is to be dealt. The point of the game is to"express yourself with humiliating schoolboys"? Oki that was pretty funny i'll give you that :D The assessment is for real battles, the cenarios that occur in the battlefield. I talked about the exchange of fire as it happens in real battles. For the DPM to mean something you need to stay alive, and the best way to stay alive while using your gun is in fact to use its specialities: knockback, freezing, selfhealing, bounce, your optimal distance etc. This is why other aspects of a turret are to be looked at before judging the value of it's next modification. What i was trying to say by: "Not many battles come down to who dealt the most damage" was: huge damage doesn't win games. And that isn't an assumption, but a fact. ;) I'll give 1 example: you might have dealt the most damage on DM, but you still didn't get a single kill. The winner was smoky, he dealt the least damage of all the players, but stole every kill. My point on that was, DPM isn't the first thing to be looked at when you try to actually win. Not sure what part irony plaid there, i actually think you deserve credit, in fact the reason i came back here and saw your response was because i used the graphs already. :)

I get it in tdms, you are there only for missions and you want out quick, sure heal that damage-eating vulcan/titan... but now it's a thing on ctfs too, they even infultrate my dear 15min sandbox matches. 25-50% smoky protection zeus/vulcans and isidas. My team rarely has a drugger to take care of them :( so it just becomes an campoff for both teams, and the whole idea of a fast fun game is lost. Not to hate on vulcans, or isidas, but i appreciate an enemy who is ready for fast gameplay.

That was nice :P The narrator will sure take some time to get used to, voice reminds me of some american actor who i can't think of now. <_< Get Morgan Freeman for a vlog and i'll use my 335k on teddybears for the communitymanagers. But forreal, can't wait for sales on iron days and valentines, im thrilled to get a new kit.

Here is the thing in real battles DPM alone don't mean carrots. Big DPM only works when you can actually inflict it on your enemies. And to do that, you need to get on your range, actually hit, concider paints, have the enemy out of cover, and even if you deal more damage it's of no use if you do it on the wrong persons at the wrong places. I think this is what is cousing the arguing here. <_< "This characteristic shows which gun is more valuable when it's fully microupgraded. Guns with low percentage receive the lowest DPM growth so u can just skip all MUs and buy something else." You can actually skip all upgrades before m3-4, a big prosentage of exchanged fire relies on your projectile speed, knockback, firing rate and in general abusing the specialities your gun offers. Not many battles come down to who dealt the most damage, but to where they were able to deal it. So why bother upgrading until it's the best way to make progress? Freeze m1-m2 is one of the worst improvements in the game, still m2 freeze is effective all the way to the m3 ranks, trust me this is my 2nd account i have done that journey with. So if you don't grind pro-battles on low ranks why waste on MUs with any m0-2 turret? This topic is really refreshing, since it provides pure data and: "it will help someone to make useful conclusions for yourself." Unlike so many of these pov things i spend my time reading :) Ty for putting in the time to make these graphs, i will sure be coming back to them as i have aimed to do research on what are the essencial attributes for a team to succeed in a specific types of battles against specific types of enemies.

The better term is too broad, they both serve different purposes it's not like either of them replaces the other. But you propably mean good as in effective in bigger range of battles. If you do xp/bp rail m3 is a musthave it also works better in long range support for defence and a flag returner/camper, but smoky is versitile, works on any hull and overall covers a wider range of dutys in the battlefield. Rail is usually not a wise choise, since your team likely has it already, and you will be of more use covering up the holes all over your team with smoky, since teams on normal battles tend to be broken, and stupidly laid over. For DMs it's all about getting in the right positions and shooting the right people, both guns can succeed with enough tactical thinking, allthoug smokys fast rate of fire most certainly brings more potential. Enough jibber jabber, get paladin, you already have hornet, viking m3 will be very useful later. Viking/inferno will also be much more effective with your freeze and fire than hornet and prodigi. Smoky also works on your mamoth better than rail... this is a nobrainer if you are looking for the maximum effectiveness in a wide range of battles. Only get rail if you will mostly do xp/bp, if not, get paladin. ^_^

Vulcan has eaten up alot of thunders previous glory, the more alike the attributes of turrets are, the more will it just come down to dps. They share the same range, both have practically unlimited ammo, but where vulcan has intense knockback and dps+ the ridiculous auto aim thunder has splash damage, and the abilty to hide and shoot, which is not a usefull tactic for the gun to control large areas and deal mass damage as fast as you can. Thats for CPs and midfielding/defensive roles on CTFs. Vulcan has also stolen many attributes for DMs that only thunder used to have at the range. The ability to use heavy tanks in larger DMs effectively, + it handles shortrange much better. Thunder suffered from vulcans coming alot more than smoky, hence smoky is starting to look much more useful, even tho vulcan occupies alot bigger space on thunders previous turf. <_<

Has the NoMad allways been only 35%?

Raccoons many small protections do work best whit DA, so it is a good drug war paint. It is the only conciderable paint that gives rail and isida protection/vulcan and isida protection. And in drugwars isida protection is essencial, as there is bound to be atleast 1 on enemy team, and isidas are generally more powerful on drugs. It really is 1 of the musthave drugwar paints for offender/midfielder. And i would argue it's useful for any kind of battle with powerful teams, as it is the only thing you can pull out if the enemy has rail, or vulcan on a smaller map. But i think it also works on normal battles, 4 protection paints are really useful with heavy/medium hulls. And vulcan protection is something 1 needs in many cituations, since vulcan is a multifunctional turret as is railgun. I'll get this paint with Nomad asap, unless they keep pushing it out only 35% off, and i don't get any discounts on top of that. However this is just analysation, since i have only used it on test, and seen footage of other people using it. btw grats for rankup

Ideas that will never happen in Tanki
stawp_thundertime replied to Fatal-Attraction in Game Discussion
An idea ^_^ It would be cool if like every 1 million exp points you could get the devil paint, and infinite supplies for like 6hours/ 6 deaths. Of course you could only play DMs as everyone would run from tdms, cps or ctfs. To prevent the people from just leaving you alone on your dms there should be a feature: killing you would give special paint. A paint like GodmodeSlayer, it could have protections like hammer 30% thunder 30% fire 30% and every kill you get on godmode would add 2% to all of these, it could go up to 50% each. And to prevent Godmodes from just gifting paints to their friends, there would be a randomized system, that makes the battles for him, the other people who got to these battles wouldn't get the paint by killing him unless they would be randomly given a Godmodepass by the server and an invite to Godmode battle. Randomly invited people would be the only ones who could get the paint, so it wouldn't just be gifted away. If a passles player killed a Godmode, it wouldn't add to the 6 death count of the Godmode, but would give an achievement or something. It would be so rare, that it wouldn't hurt the gameplay, but it would be really cool to see GodmodeSlayer paints scaresly flashing around, or be able to enter a Godmode battle, just to see it. :P Like it, anyone? -

That 1 day when supplies were infinited  oh the nostalgia, too bad this topics name tells it all. -
They will, i have tried Got 37% off isida for a day, goufer it or disregard? Im thinking of leaving it, if noone tries to convince me othervice.
-
Opposition, night mode doesn't really cut it for me, but tunnels do. Also you can't see the enemy side from your own, so there is a suspense on when the top fills with scary vulcans and isidas. :( Stadion is also quite creepy, but only with alot of enemy shafts. Come to think of it, any map, which has either bad visibility or a long distance to shaft or vulcan, is 2spooky4me

bb 2k golds bb goldmissions that made me nolife bb asl mode, that i never got good at Hope you come back soon
-
I do believe there is only 1 location there, so a map is useless.

Maybe not the best place to ask, but what do you guys take the pictures with? They look absolutely gorgeous :)
