They'd know the general direction of where the shot came from. By the time they look in that direction, the Gauss would've either killed them or went into hiding.

I don't think you're understanding what I'm saying. Mammoths need to be within 10 metres, so that when they're OD is ready, they can try to get even closer when activated to ram the titan. Yes they need to at least 7 metres in order to implode enemies, but they need to be within 10 metres to get there in time.

Well in order to activate the OD, meaning that if the mammoth hopes to kill the titan with its OD, it has to close that distance, otherwise it's a wasted opportunity.

I got really lucky tonight, MM was nice to me. I was sent to 3 battles where I got at least a 2.33 KD, and 250 to 300 points each, just by playing defense as m3.9 thunder, m2 10/10 hunter and 4/20 driver drone.
