Sadly, skills are really "underpowered" when compared to MUs or drugs and probably that's why we have so many Legends that don't want to use "Z and X". However, I have to disagree with you on something. Skills are somewhat related to rank as well.. For example I am a much better Isida player now than I was at Fieldmarshal when I bought it. Now for the Isida matter in Poly CP I've seen very few of the strong players actually using it and those who play with it use Viking at all times. What I find really interesting is that for some reason people are discouraged to use this turret as, when the battle gets very intense, people will tell you to change equipment. If you really want it to be all skill i suggest you trying out XP/BP. No drugs to worry about, same level of MUs, fun to play and great way of earning lots of crystals.

When you compare 2 garages the rank is the most important aspect. Well...my friend was talking mostly about the guys that play almsot exclusively No-supplies Polygon CP (most of them Legend 50+) because they are our direct competitors. Not having a considerable amount of modules at that rank would be just a shame... You have just compared yourself (Legend 2) to players that have eanred a lot more xp and crystals. Sure, if you compare 2 players with a similar rank the cry/exp ration is crucial if you want tons of equipment at a low rank. Now about my "shortcuts"...I got loads of crystals for loads of exp so after making some calculations I've found out that my ratio actually decreased.

    Let's Discuss Magnum!

Magnums here, there and everywhere and this thing still does well even if there are 4/8 people with high protection against it... <_<

One of my friends said: "Every Legend with some self respect that plays Polygon already has all the important protection modules". I play mostly Polygon so I was talking about the the average player I meet and believe it or not most of the guys who play there have multiple (at least 4-5) modules to choose from while some of them have 20+ protection modules. Even I have 8 good modules at the rank of Legend 7 and my garage is rather bad... Maybe it's just me, but I'm doing better on medium hulls in DMs with Thunder, Rail and close range turrets.

The module choice isn't just luck based and you can immediately change to get the resistences you need. The old quadruple modules are weaker compared to the new triple ones (2-3 exceptions here: Rock, Africa and maybe...Just maybe Taiga). Depending on map and playing style medium hulls can still be good choices, especially when extra speed is necesarry to make up for the low range of the turret, but, after all, these don't mean anything if you don't have drugs. Without supplies you are going to get doomed (unless you team with several other players).

well, then please allow me to rephrase: Isida can be a mosnter in DM (just like every other turret in the right hands) :)

5 seconds damage is just enough for 1 kill in a 1v1 situation or 2 kill steals. After that you just hide so that you can reload. I've played quite a few Poly DMs with Isida and it feels just as good as any other turret

    Let's Discuss Ricochet!

MFS: Minus Field Stabilization It's the alteration that increases reload by 20% but doubles your projectile speed and range of minimum damage.

    Let's Discuss Ricochet!

Short answer: Yes Long answer: High burst damage => Good choice for smaller maps. Decent impact and range => Good choice for medium range fights (especially if you get the MFS alteration). The special ability can come in really handy in many maps. (examples: Silence, Rio, Gravity, Noise). Just as every other turret Rico has some weaknesses: you'll run out of ammo fairly easy. This is one of the reasons DD is more important than DA for a Rico user. After destroying a heavy hull, you are defenceless for a while so sometimes it's a better idea to wait and reload after destroying someone and then move on further. If you want Rico for Polygon or smaller maps you will probably be in trouble at times because of the high number of modules against it. Apart from these I can't find any other cons...

    Let's Discuss Ricochet!

If I remember correctly the splash radius is significantly lower. It's not something I would recommend tbh because I'd rather invest the crystals in something else. I think it's worth buying only after you get a really strong garage which isn't the case for both of us at the moment.

    Let's Discuss Ricochet!

Yes, I meant that the damage per minute is lower. I was not talking about situations in which you actually have issues with hitting a target. In Polygon it's rather unlikely that you have trouble with aiming at the enemies, especially because the distances between players aren't usually significant and people prefer heavy hulls which are slower and bigger.

    Let's Discuss Ricochet!

If you have trouble hitting your enemies you should use MFS, but if you can do without it just unequip it. A reduction in damage is something you really don't want. Theoretically, alterations are here to change the gameplay when using a certain turret so, in general, you are almost getting a new turret.

    Let's Discuss Ricochet!

Minus FIeld Stabilization is good for people like wolverine, but I wouldn't use in Polygon so it's not worth for me. The other alteration seems really interesting as it makes you more effective when people are gathered around the point while suffering some self damage in close combat, but a module with Rico protection could help (everyone has such modules anyway). It may be a good choice for this map, but I have to say it is rather overpriced for what it does.

    Let's Discuss Product Kits

I think the number of crystals earned that is shown in the ratings takes into account only crystals earned from battles.
  18. TheBlackChick

What to buy? Which is better?

50k* Still quite expensive, but it makes Twins a lot better at close range.

    Let's Discuss Ricochet!

Yes, both turrets are strong, but buying Rico seems more cost-efficient as I don't really need any alteration for it to work well.

My bad then. I didn't know drugs start to count since that date as well.

The statistics don't show the amount of total hours spent in game by the players from the creation of the account. That number represents the hours played after the ratings system had been introduced. He probably played a lot of parkour and that's how he managed to do it, but it's a great performance nonetheless.

    Let's Discuss Ricochet!

Rico is one of the turrets that doesn't need any alteration to perform well in most of the PRO Battles. Others are: Isida, Thunder, Vulcan and ofc Striker and Magnum. That's why I may consider getting Rico before Hammer for example.

    Let's Discuss Hammer!

As I've seen people tend to use Hammer becuse protection against it is rather uncommon in Poly CP, but it can only perform well if there is truely very little protection from it. 2-3 people can easily change to Lion T-C (most people have it), Lion T-A or Badger T-A and the Hammer user is going to be in trouble, while a Twins/Fire user is fine with having 2-3 people with 30-40% protection against his turret. Smoky is a rather poor choice for Polygon CP. Despite the lack of protections against it, this doesn't make up for the low DPS and lack of impact and splash.

    Let's Discuss Protection Modules

There are so many combinations that players need which simply don't exist...
