Thefact you quit because you are teh lowe ranks in a given game is on you, not on MM. Suck it up and play. If your gear is MUed you should be able to play against ranks several step above you. Sure some games you might get roughed up but other gams you'll shine. If you won't challenge yourself blame the guy you see in the bathroom mirror. Here's a game I was the lowest rank, tied with a team mate. Entuire enemy team higher ranks. The enemy had 4 Isidas who tried to Isida train all game long. I let my team mates to the attacking. I made my role to bust up the Isida train. Which I did all night long. Yeah I finished in last but with a 9:3 kill ratio. And my actions definitely crimped the enemy strategy. Get out of your fuzzy comfort zone. Dare yourself to get better.

M y (completely uneducated) guess is such a thing would add a lot of query overheard to the MM system thus adding considerable system lag and delaying game start up even more. So I am not going to expect this.

Anyone can string together a bunch of words to makie a case. These words lose out to the reality of game play seen every. Single. Day. Twins is OP and so, so very easy to use.

One huge effect is map turnover / churn. No map is in play for more than one game. Games are now played more evenly across all maps. I still think Brest is a bad map but now if I find myself on it it is worth giving a chance. Before I'd avoid it because I knew ahead of time I'd find another camper sniper fest. (example)

I have been seeing this trend yes. OTOH I am an impact smoky / viking so I have a chance to win the impact duel and a lot of practice at it. But I bought a 2nd Hull when I hit Marshal: Titan. Titan is pretty nimble at close quarters. With impact smoky it's like bringing down Rocky.

No, It was not. That is not what MM was intended to do nor what it promised to do. MM was put in place to start new games with reasonably balanced teams. The End. This is EXACTLY what I mean by my "players expect magic out of MM" comment. The game is imbalanced because the game is imbalanced. (Twins, Magnum, map influences, etc.) MM is not going to come along and magically solve these deep-seated structural flaws. You prove yourself wrong with your own comment. You expect magic out of MM. ===== As for Drones mentioned above ....I agree only buyers can run them to full capacity. But I am not sure they are powerful enough to lead to Pay to win. They might just be pay to pay status items. The price structure of putting 98% of the cost in the MU ladder means poorer players can buy most of a drone's performance for a small fraction of the full cost.. So buyers will have to pay a LOt to gain a quite small edge in the drones. It is the battery cost that weighs more. I do think in clan battles with coordinated drone selection the things might prove important.

People expect magic out of the MM system. That's not what the "M" represents. When ther are many players of similar rank looking to play, MM creates battles with close ranks. When there are few players looking for a game. MM has to grab a wide rank range to fill the teams. MM cannnot make players pop into existence. Nor is MM some magic promise that every game will be close with close scores. This again is no different than pre-MM. Then ost all the open games would be blowouts with room only on the losing team. Dissatisfction with TO comes from many sources but on this thread MM is blamed for all of them.

Just when I get a half dozen lame / dull / blowout games alon comes a real corker. I would never have played on Brest before MM sent me there. But since it was not a case of Shafts Shaft Shaft everywhere guess what? It was possible to have a fun game. Since I'm posting I took a SS after a game against an enemy with 4 Isidas. That's invincible right? Heh Not if you go Sgt York on 'em. Start killing 'em from the back. I took on the role of breaking up the Isida train all game long. The notion Isida trains are unbeatable is just wrong. Yes they can be a beast. But they can also be beat. Note MM threw me into one game where I was a high ranker and another where I was a low ranker. But good fun games were had in both, With m2 _10/10 gear you can play with the upper ranks .... so prepare for it. PS: What's wrong with those payouts? the 10 days of 2x battle funds is over.

So wat? In 2016 only buyers had many drugs. Now everyone does. DD/DA cancel out. So guess what? If everyone is using drugs or no one is you have the SAME EXACT GAME. There is nothing to "fix". This is called "a random process". Random processes can easily give the same result several times in a row. Take coin. Flip it. Note results.

Purely cosmetic items like Paint have teh same value as art in the real world: They are worth what people are willing to pay for them. No one paint was ever worth more than another. The fact TO had some paints priced at one arbitrary value and another is just more weird TO anti-economic behavior. The old picing scheme nevr reflected paints' tru values.

Funny thing though when I find myself in a game with either on the enemy force I equip protections against them. Weird how such "weak" turrets require protections.

Then you are wasting money. You can trade in the hull for free at Marshal. Kits are for 2016 not for 2018.

I refer to the 20 maps used in the basic battle section. No flat maps you tip oer too that is the point.

Yes I know vulcan on Wasp leads to tip overs but that's not been the reason behind teh last two day's orgy of tip overs The hull is so massively unstable compared to all 6 other hulls and it does not come with many advantages to compensate. And now with 1- points lost to a SD it's very painful.

Well kits make more sense if you are buying a 2nd hull and turret instead of upgrading what you use now.

Paladin is one of the better kits but IMO kits are a bad development strategy in these days d cheap MU and matchmaking.

I am sick and tired of tip-over SDs. Wasp tips over 10x as often as any other hull ... if not 50x more. It is hard to justify this sort of design imbalance. I cannot envision ever buying Wasp again not when the 100-fod more reliable Hornet is only a tiny bit slower.
