That is probably it. At peak times the game has more players waiting. In general it much more likely to make a game of tankers all of very close rank. I tend to play my missions soon after reboot *low useage). Then usually I am of a modd to finish up ripe missions coffee time USA. That is mediam use time I reckon w/o looking into it at all. ;) PS: I ranked to Marshal very close to MM's introduction. So I was just getting Legends games in the old system. Getting Legends in MM was no change. I do see Legends very often though. After a few games it became no big deal. Every so often you run into one of those unholy beasts but usually I give as good as I get. Equipment quality levels are just not that great in TO that Legens can just overwhelm my MU7-ish tank. So game on.

Did you notice only 3 of those games were LittleWillie and 7 were OtherWillies? One of those 3 was predominantly a Legends game. Here's another one from another day. Drawing long-termconclusions form a sample set of 3 data points is not profitable. I just took 10 games one after the other as I joined them. I changed to a new account once the old account cleared a mission or three. I did not influence ot select the results. But 10 games is also a small sample set. Anpother ten game window would give different results. The point is this. As with every such change, the critics always always always post more than the indifferent or the supporters post. That just happens no wonders it is happening with MM. But it's time to wind in the complaints to a more rational level. The common narrative here is it is always a long wait only to get a game with unplayable rank ranges in ongoing games with only a few minutes left. Well I took up that challenge and played 10 games. I had 9 fun games I was able to enjoy then one lousy experience to round off the test. That is a damn sight better than what the posts here want you to believe. That was a lot more fun games got to a lot faster than the old system would have managed. And that test was nothing unusual compared to the scores of MM games I have played by now. Actual game experience does not match the horror stories painted here. MM is not perect at all and it can be improved greatly. But get over this MM never works kick. PS: Again, not aimed @GF but in general
-
I have battles against all legends teams too wher I am the only non legend on my team. Sometimes I finish near the bottom other times I finish near the top. I don't realy even notice anymore if there are Legends or not. m4 gears has only a small % advantage over my m3 low mu gear. It is not a big enough difference to run away from the game before seeing how the game plays. === rest not for GF but in general==== The difference is: Who is playing at teh time? This is why I find these anti-MM posts laughable. They are completely devoid of context. No one posts screenies of them joining a game 1 second after clicking ... that'd get in the way of the narrative wouldn't it? Yet we all know every single critic see that happen. If few players are playing when you want a game, what is MM supposed to do? If critics are put in game with fewer than 8 players on each team, they claim MM is broken., If players are put in an ongoing game, they claim MM is broken. If MM aoivs these options and waits to fill new 8v8 games players complain about longer wait times and claim M M is broken. But thad they trued to get a game in the same time frame in the same conditions pre-MM, they would probably find no viable game at all. What players there were would be scattered in a bunch of 1v2 games or there would be one full game with no room and or the ongoing blowouts of course. MM is only as good at the players online at that moment. ---- Exactly as the old system was a poorer performer at low usage times. MM is better at rounding up what players are available and pooling them into as full a game as can be arranged. That's all it exists to do. It does not exist to make Magnums balanced or to make bad players play well. MM cannot prevent a player from joining then spending all 10 minutes doing nothing for no purpose. For me the net benefits are worth the compromise of not being able to pick a map. That is how life works: compromise in search of the optimum. MM critics find flaws on one side of the coin and insist they have proven MM has failed. You don't have to like MM but please dont ask me to swallow tripe.Demonstrate you have a sense of context and you'll see respect.

It is a nerf of Isida's overall impact on a game. But oddly enough it is not so much a nerf from the Isida's point of view. It is not the Isida that feels the new pain. In fact the Isida gets to heal up a few more exp pts in the Firebird situation. The Isida's teammates probably call it a nerf though. :)
-
Well Fire and Freeze are both area effect weapons. This change seems like a pretty good counter to the Isida train. The train will quickly deplete its energy if they have to fend off heating effects the continue to linger on everyone in the train. I see Isida trains rekking enemy teams and I've seen me rekking Isida trains on my own. But I never considered how hard it would be for Fire or Freeze to do this. I use Isida every day so I see trains from both sides. For Smoky you start picking away at teh rear guy. Impact makes it hard to drive so it loses contact with the train. It is in the rear so its pals do not catch on for a bit. Byu then you are working over Isida #2. If there's a #3 you just move on to it next. But gire and freeze gota get lose and they get notices. With so much of their ability based on the heat/cold effects I can see how they had big issues with trains. So I gotta give credit to TO for this one. Seems like they made a good call.

It is that way almost always for these random weekend events. So this is just another one.
-
It has been that wat all two years I have played.
-
reducing both would not ruin Magnum or maybe it would. The issue is not that doing both is bad but rather HOW MUCH to affect the affected parameters. That's what she said. My guess is the announced balance changes were just the camel's nose under the tent. This gets players exposed to the idea. More will probably follow. That CAN'T be the only issues TO saw. Even TO isn't that inept
-
All those exp points but did not learn how to play I guess. You can't be serious that this significant but focused change "ruins" Isida. You know I did not look to see if there was an exp point change to Isida in the new scoring system. That's worth looking into. Thanks. What do you mean by "not worthwhile"? Does that mean you no longer heal team mates or just that you do not expect much exp from doing so? Isn't just damaging enemies boring? What about the quarterback in football? All he does is give the ball to someone else. Isida is the only turret that can do either. Logic leads to the conclusion that Idsida players have the more factors to consider. That's usually considered interesting.

Fair enough as I live in the USA where they don't teach math, or geography and certainly have issues with teaching evolution. I posted mostly for the novelty factor of an American knowing Lahore is a city in Pakistan. :p
-
Obviously I disagree.
-
and Twins, Rico, Shaft, plus Smoky and Striker.
-
Don't they teach math in Lahore? I almost did the same thing yesterday. But I decided to wait until the VLog came out just in case there was an MU sale. MU steps come in three flavors: Lowest steps are worth doing at full price. (Unless you are broke then any discounts help.) Highest steps are worth doing at 50% off. The region in the middle is worth doing at any discount level. With the module change there are many many places to make use of this "usleless" MU sale.
-
That's all the balanced issues TO saw? Small adjustements to Isida and Freeze? SMH!
-
Looks like the Vlog will announce the next three. At least one of these new ones looks to have much more of an impact. A 2nd one looks almost as strong. The 2rd one seems about on par with the three we've seen so far.
-
Hmm. These seem to smoke the original three. Driver seems by far the most powerful one released. It's good for ppl like me who look to use the OD ASAP (w/in reason). So much for drones don't make much difference. Suplier mjght be a good choice for the dedicated Isida driver, seeing as he's looking to work w/team mates all along. Engineer well 2 out of three ain't bad. This one seems weak; more on par with the first three. Unless the pick ups are extended much longer than we've seen so far.
-
This presents a hardship? This prevents you from storing other items in your garage? You cannot even see the batteries unless you make am effort to slide over the display. There's no shortage of real issues with the game why is this important? I reckon drones might be a significant aspect of Clan Wars. But for random battles I am not sure drones will be that significant, even if everyone on one team has them. I reckon this because my thinking is the TYPES of drones on each team must be COORDINATED in order to have a significant effect. Hat tip to Guido F. who reported on a clan who all had the +healing drones at max MU. With everyone using that drone an an known team-healing strategy the team was especially robust. But that level of coordination wil not exist in a basic battle. So: Advantage = yes. Significant advantage = who knows yet?
-
If you do not understand why MM is different from the plain battle button that is because you are determined to insist they are teh same. Anyone who has read this thread knows how they differ. So why should I waste my time talking to you, Mister Brick Wall? B-B-Bye! What a nice cherry you picked.

Ten Proofs Matchmaking Does Not Work Last night it occurred to me to take screenies of my game results as I worked on my missions. So here are 10 games played across four accounts. All games were MM games. I did not exit any game I just played what I got. Now we can prove exactly how terrible is the MM system. Obviously I fool no one who has read my posts for they already know I am being sarcastic. ---------------All Games Every game started in less than 1 minute. Nine of 10 games were new games just underway. All games were played from about 1 hour after server reboot to 3 hours after server reboot. Not peak times but not the lowest times either. --------------Game 1 8x8 very even team by rank. My team red wins handily. I do not recall much about this game. Obviously I played a less significantrole, --------------Game 2 7x8 perfectly balanced team by rank if not player count. My team (with 7 players) wins on 7-0 shutout. --------------Game 3 7x8 with slight rank advanatage to the 7 player team. My team *7 players) wins in a good 7-4 match. Lowest ranked players on winning team finish 1st and 5th. --------------Game 4 7x8 with the 8 player team with a noticeable rank advantage. My team gets smoked 7-0 Note the lowest ranking player in the game earned the most Cry. --------------Game 5 7x8 wide ranks spread Marshal to CPT with 8 player team having the advantage. My team loses 1-3 in a tight batle. The CPts on each team finish in the middle of their teams. The highest ranking players on the winners finish 1st and last. --------------Game 6 7x7 even teams by rank. My team loses close 79-73 match. --------------Game 7 8x8 Wide rank game from Cpt to Marshal and a slight rank edge to red. My team (blue) wins going away 100-21. The Cpt in this game went 0-6. Each team had a Col or LtCol in 2nd place. --------------Game 8 8x8 with a ridiculous rank spread from sgt to Marshal on blue.(Has to be a Group effect). But despite that the ranks on the two teams are more or less balanced. Blue has higher ranks for 7 players then their one super low rank. My team won an extremely vclose game 100-96, just holding off a late charge by blue. The SGT went 4-24. Why players form groups like this is hard to fathom. --------------Game 9 8x8 very even teams by rank. My team wins a tough 1-0 game on low-scoring Massacre. --------------Game 10 8x8 with red having a rank advantage when comparing the bottom 4 tanks on each team. The top 4 are closely balanced. Red wins a 8-0 blowout as three blue tanks are non-factors. This was the only game I entered that was already underway. So I susyemct some of these blue zero tanks were also late substitutees. BOTTOM LINE Out of 10 games one featured the low-ranking group member programming flaw but it led to one of the closest games all night. One more game featured a bad rank imbalance on the bottom half of the two teams. This was the only game I joined that was not a brand-new match. This was the only really substandard game out of 10. The other 9 games were wither adequately ballancd to EXTREMELY well balanced. But many balanced teams led to blowout games. Several low rankers mixed it up with high rankers. Some did well some did poorly. The point is they were almost always competitive. I played 10 games one after the other. I got 9 of 10 games were good to very good. I did not wait long for any game even though I had to leave teh queue to save my screenies each game. The gripes expressed here is MM is broken, it never gives a balanced game, it makes you wait 5-10 minutes each time, and it "always" places players in ongoing blowouts not new games. These ten games show these claims to be petulant hyperbole. I never would have found 9 or 10 quality games so quickly under the old system. Let's face it: MM is a better deal in all regards except for map choice. And if you are that unwilling to play on anything but your pet maps ... well then you are a noob. Don't be a noob. Challenge yourself.

I agree entirely that for teh tanker who has everything, Drones are another little bit more everything to own. So yes ROI might justify investing in Drones instead of another 10,000 RKs or aan 11th turret. BUT .... Even so I am not sure you are buying much. For unlimited budgets why not? But it seems very little edge is bought for very much money. AND ... if I am wrong then the budget tanker can blunt the righ buyer advantage buy a low MU drone investment. You can but 70% of a drone's full effects for less than 20% of the full cost. I have a pard time calling that pay to win.
-
I have every single one the game has distributed to me so far. I think that's the most informative answer.
-
You are of course welcome to do what you want. My real point is when that is your policy but you blame MM for a lack of game ... that rings hollow. Since this reply is 100% garbage I defer to your rubbish expertise. Did it occur to you one of the other team chose to leave the game? No, that would take process alien to you called "thinking". Yes I consider the teams more or less balanced. There are a mix of higher ranks on each team. Eveveryone had M3 gear at minimum. If you cannot fight against m3+ gear with straight m3 gear then you suck noob. II was in the game, you were not. Tehre were not 4 enemy tanks idle. They were pwned hard and bloody but that does not make them "mults". If anything we were the lower ranked team and we won. Which is rather my point. Don't make me mic drop yo again. ---- MM does not work as an option. It requires a large player base to participate. So much noob whining all because they cannot camp their favorite map all day long, doing one thing over and over. Learning make brains huwt.
-
Because the Battle Buttone was in fact not the same thing as MM. You can write a paragraph stating they are teh same thing. But that is not true. So much for that.
-
I am not talking about being spawn killed. I leave those games too. I am talking about not leaving just because there are higher ranks on your team. Fight and you might find yourself winning.
-
It is teh very high sustained DPS, plus, the rapid ROF combined with significant impact force / shot. You m,melt away the enemy very fast and he has a hard time even shooting back. Plus as you observe it lacks a magazine effect to limit this massive killing combo.
