It's super hard you meet an English speaking player in battles now. Earlier we had separate EN & RU servers

It was easy to reach legend rank back then, but kinda hard now because higher ranked players have drones & stuff. But it's not impossible at all. I wish you good luck for your journey to become a legend mate. You know, legends never die... ?

Playing Polygon CP XP/BP in 2015 & 2016. Definitely the most fun I had in Tanki. April fools celebrations with increased gold drops (any year). Buying Legend kit from garage. Camping with my Rail-Hornet in old Rio map when I was in low ranks (in 2015 & 2016). I could 1-shot-kill most enemies & had the best k/d ratio in that battles. Often, I go to enemy base from beach & spawn kill them with DD from beach. They couldn't attack me because I was far away & they didn't have much DA supplies. Playing Sandbox CTF, Wave CTF, Hill CTF in 2015 & 2016. I used to play in the same map for half a dozen battles & it was super fun because each team had only 4 players. Watching players with Picasso, Africa, Hohloma, Emerald, Inferno, Tiger & Zeus paints. They were very powerful because that paints granted them a lot of protection and also they looked super cool.

Because Polygon has the most game objects, hence more rendering, hence lagging. @ThirdOnion once published the number of polygons in each map, that's how I know this.

This will ruin the whole gameplay. Everybody will be shooting at each other and every player will die in first 10 seconds of the battle. So, no point of having automated railguns because players will kill each other anyways

Me too thought it was the lifeguard drone, but actually some of them weren't using any drone. I've enables in settings to see others' drones, so I'm perfectly sure that some of them weren't using any drone.

This is kind of a result of my overthinking, lol. Let's say a map has 2 gold box drop zones & I drop 3 gold boxes, but without collecting any. Obviously, the last box will land on a gold box that is still sitting on the ground. So, how many gold boxes are there, when I collect them.? Will that overlapped box be counted as 1 or 2.? -
Cause that's what an OD is meant to do. A huge advantage to the user

Yeah, then those buyers with 50% protection modules & DA can dominate battle fileds because no one can kill them Well, maybe I didn't have to face such chaos as I wasn't a higher ranker back then

Yes. When I was in your rank, I only had Rail+Hornet both M2 with sandstone paint. It provided protection against rail, thunder & shaft. I actually had few other paints, but sandstone was the one provided me with best protection

The golden era of TO was before that paint-protection removal update. Players could really enjoy the game without worrying about supplies much & there were many fun things like Polygon CP XP/BP battles. But Tanki introduced a lot of unnecessary things & ruined the game balance. Now we're at a point that ODs are essential, so you can do something instead of getting killed duck sitting, as a free player. I agree with this point, but the solution is not to remove the Hornet OD. We need it to counter those strong buyers who has a drone + 50% protection module + double armor.

I guess because developers wanted to highlight the fact that this is an online multiplayer game. This game was released 10 years ago. Online multiplayer games weren't a thing in that time. People used to play games like Sniper Ghost Warrior, Prince of Persia, NFS series in their Windows XP or Vista or 7 computers with a very slow internet connection compared to now. Also, accessing internet was very expensive in that era. So that online part was meant to reflect that this game is more modern than the ones people played in that time, IMO

Most of these arguments raised because devs released that Vulcan update & then introduced heat immunity, allowing Vulcan-Hornet players to fire non-stop while recharging their OD quickly thanks to the kills they make. Some people disliked Hornet OD from the beginning, but that wasn't very stronger like now

But a tank in a Titan dome with Da equipped & with a 50% protection module against your turret, then you'll end-up making only 25% of your turret's output damage as OD neglects only the dome. This doesn't sound fair, given that enemies can have drones as well. Maybe reducing min & max damages of the turret by 20% when OD is active, will be fair. Then an enemy will get only 800hp damage from a shot that was supposed to deal 1000hp damage if the OD wasn't active.
