You have the support of many players here. At least bring an alteration (in the M3 slot) that gives back the self-heal in a balanced trade-off. It was quite an interesting feature and made the game better.

Yes I don't understand why everyone is saying Striker is UP, it's quite balanced. Now as opposed to Thunder, the alternating barrels, the lack of auto-aim, etc, are it's disadvantages. It is just harder to use in a straight fight.

IN the future XTs will probably just change to "skins" that you can buy and apply to your current tank so you don't have to buy another un-upgraded one. Which means it is likely that there will be "skins" for all the turrets.

What makes you Mad in Tanki? Things you hate/like in the game?

I actually like that because it guarantees a fund distribution and the end of the battle. I like to join a 300-point Poly CP and know that regardless of the score, the battle will end by the server restart and it allows me to fit it in with my schedule. -
Well, Shaft can one-shot a higher-tier light tank, and it's been that way for a long time. Otherwise the Shafts' would find themselves extremely ineffective when playing with higher ranks. The whole point of countering Shaft is not to get hit in the first place. In addition, hornet M2 is the worst M2 hull. But hornet M3 is better than Hunter M2, obviously. They are not in the same class.

If the splash damage is what attracts you are you considering the artillery instead?

All that mattered to me was "Firebird Buff". Not too happy about lack of M3 alterations and hull alterations. "Character" seems a bit.....ehhh. Good article and thanks! :) -
Then it's unfair because it is 2 vs 1 . In addition, any turret has an advantage if it attacks from behind. Also, many veteran players don't just "let" freezes sneak up on them. I hold to my previous statement. None of the stats support your opinion that Freeze is OP.

Maybe off-topic, but my advice: None of the S-modules are worth it. ;) At your rank you will not notice the difference, and the price is a lot. (relatively) Trust me, save up for something else.

They are either embedded in it or bounce off at a non-lethal velocity, unless you fire at a extremely funny angle. But a shotgun doesn't just bounce around corners like a Ricochet. -

Why was Hammer added the bouncing ability anyway? Totally unrealistic and it runs counter to it's purpose. I think if anything Firebird should have the ability. It would make sense and actually be interesting to see flames deflecting at a 90-degree angle, and it would fulfill it's purpose as a "Close-quarters urban fighter." Ricochet is obviously not obsolete, it is quite a unique turret. -
Yes you can, it's called don't be a noob and stay out of range. The guns that are good for close-range can turn fast enough to keep up anyway. I see Freeze players getting killed all the time. It's not magic. ;)

This may be because of your unstable Viking, and goes completely contrary to my experience. I see Ricos always losing against Smokies because about half their projectiles hit. Smoky knocks off light hulls so much you are annihilated before you close range. As long as you don't get too close Hammer, Firebird, Twins, etc, are no threat. Smoky seems to be the most annoying turret in terms of impact force. Again, most people think a turret is UP when they use it and OP when they fight against it. ;) It seems the vast majority think Smoky probably deserved the nerf. -
I don't understand. I got a higher score than some of the winners posted. For example TTK got 29, as opposed to my 31. Now I know time played a factor but I thought that was only for equal scores.
-
Nah, I think you should keep your fire, critical or not, on the immediate threat.

P.S. I think the self-heal was an interesting feature. Again, the more diversity (within reason) the better. SO DEVS: A SELF-HEAL feature would be nice for an M3 alteration or another turret. But to self-heal, certain conditions must be met (for example, the attacker must be at less than 30% health. -
That, and the lower acceleration.as opposed to light hulls.

It also may be harder with Viking. ;)

You know, I've seen my share of drugging Shaft-Mammoths, and the only thing that could kill them was a Freeze. Everyone was SO GLAD to have that person ;) on their team. Also keep in mind the difference between annoying and OP. Freeze may be annoying, that's your opinion. Whether it's OP can be disproved using statistics.

Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
r_I_already_won0 replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
The problem seems to be that you are facing drugged Shafts with undrugged tanks. Now if the Shaft is parking his laser in a corridor, all you have to do is avoid it, if he is as blind as you say. I think it might be useful for you to play with Shaft for a while. It is nowhere near as OP as you think it is. Every time you peek out the enemies scamper away. You have to be very skilled; identify a target BEFORE you come out, then fire. If he's disappeared, go back under cover. Don't stay out looking for another target; that's the mistake they all make. Then they get pummeled and whacked around, unable to get off a single shot before they die. Even before a Shaft would full-charge a medium hull and then arcade would finish them off. And Darn it NEEDED that buff. Maybe consider that the Shafts are using DD because the turret is too weak without drugs. At least that is my experience. The Firebird alt may be a tad bit OP but the stock Firebird suren't ain't nowhere close to balanced. If people are paying 100k for something maybe they deserve to get something out of it. Maybe they're even FORCED to, the stock Firebird being so weak. Think of it this way: 100k can buy you a ton of drugs. Honestly Smoky needed the nerff. I'm sorry. :P I think the main problem is that people think a turret is OP, until they play with it for a while. Smoky users didn't think the turret needed a nerf but everyone else did. A lot think Shaft didn't deserve the buff, but the Shaft players know better. So I think we should all stop complaining about OP turrets until we have tried them out for a period of time. Maybe that guy who is getting all the kills with his "OP" turret is actually immensely skilled and using all of his effort and drugs to actually stand out. The thing is, we set up images in our heads of the OP turret being super easy to get kills with, and then when we actually use it it's quite disappointing to realize it is no more effective than any other turret.
