How is it OP after the nerf? Also the module isn't that great. Protects from only 2 turrets and those are not the most important.
-
I wish I would earn some crystals by posting on this forum. ;)
-
That feature is completely misleading.
-
This, sadly. A Firebird can circle Vulcan too. Or Isida. Or Hammer. The freezing effect only makes it worse, but it's not that necessary to kill a Vulcan.
-
I play a lot on Brest (CP or CTF). My current module contains Shaft protection too and they can still kill me in 2 shots (Titan M1). Vulcan protection is awesome though, I killed a lot of Vulcans with the same equipment (without module). Hammer protection is also near useless. Very few Hammer players out there. I need Firebird and Smoky protection module, maybe Thunder and Railgun.

LOL, I'm such an idi.ot... I never realized I can move that thing. I just clicked on the arrows and nothing happened.

I would buy Anaconda kit (Vulcan M2, Dictator M2) but the protection module is crap. Freeze (ok, but if the enemy Freeze can reach you, then you most likely die no matter what your protection is) and Shaft (worthless on small/medium maps). I wait for a better Vulcan kit, even if my current Vulcan M1 is a piece of garbage.

I definitely make more crystals now that I can join drug-free battles (and those battles are much more fun anyway). I can see in your profile that you used a tremendous amount of drugs. You either payed for it with ingame or real currency. You can spare a lot of drugs if you play Pro battles. Btw. how can I change the rank limit?
-
You can use ingame currency to buy the Pass. You don't have to pay with real money.
-
And the most important: you can create battles! :P It makes certain type of Daily Missions easier (finish 1st, capture flags, etc.).
-
You guys are amazing. Great work!

The thing is that it's actually more rewarding if you play less per day. Crystal/XP ratio matters when you buy equipment and it's much higher if you only finish your (crystal) missions every day. I don't think it's a good thing. Tanki should reward those players who play more and their crystal/XP ratio is not that high which means they're disadvantaged. I played more per day compared to most of the tankers so I have less crystals than someone who reach my rank in 6 months or 1 year instead of 2 months. It's not a very smart system if you encourage your players to play less. From a crystal/XP point of view it's still better if you play less even if you must buy the Pro Pass.
-
Also the most frustrating when you see the enemy team slowly turning the result. There was a CP battle to 150 points where we lead 100-0 and our top player left. We lost 149-150.
-
I consider myself a "free player" (only bought a small amount of crystals) and I have a Pro Pass. Everyone can afford it, even the free players. It has a really good price compared to the benefits it gives you.
-
Try different servers then. At my rank Server 3 has ~ 80 pro battles and 30 regulars. Plenty to choose from. I already made my point about the changes. I welcome everything which makes drug-free battles more available for players. I think this was a step to the right direction.

Buy 1 turret/hull combination and stick to it. It's better if you can find the M1, M2 etc. versions in kits, because it's a lot cheaper. Don't spend your hard earned crystals on drugs or MUs. Finish at least one of the Daily Mission weeks in a row to get more crystals. Play on maps and the game mode which favors your combination the most. Buy the Pro Pass and play longer battles if you have the time. Play against lower ranked players. Try to join the winning side (players with the bigger scores). It's not that hard to go through the ranks if you follow this method.
-
It might be true that they're easier now. I completed my Cologne mission through 1 non-Pro battle. It was full 20 players throughout the game, when someone left a new player joined inmediately. I went full drug to win though.
-
These are my Daily Missions today: So my Pro Pass price is almost covered by only finishing them. Everyone should buy it even if you only play your Missions every day.
-
Yeah I noticed it too.

Without drugs Vulcan + light hull combination is not the best, at least for me. I used Viking at M0 level but I realized I need the extra HP more than the speed. Of course it depends on the map too, on a bigger map a light hull can be more profitable. But on smaller maps the enemy team will destroy you in a second unless you drug. Obviously it's the same with other turrets, in Arena everyone uses Titan or Mammoth, on a big map a Wasp or Hornet can make the difference. When I play Polygon I usually drive under the ramp and hunt down other players without any problem. I can make a kill streak of 10 if the enemy team is stupid enough not to take me out as soon as possible. With the new Vulcan it's much harder, you can't fire that much continuously without burning. Also more short-range tanks can reach me and damage my hull before I can take them out. Freeze is especially dangerous because Vulcan already has a bad turret turning speed and you'll die shortly after he/she can freeze you. Maybe I should try to use a lighter hull. I can buy Anaconda kit right now for 141k (Dictator+Vulcan M2 + M2 protection against Firebird/Freeze). I'm just afraid that I can't adapt the new playing style that easily.
-
Vulcan is best with a heavy hull. It's not a hit and run type of weapon. And yes, new Vulcan is much less valuable than it was before.
-
Which means the players will chase crystal boxes instead of helping their team. No thanks. I already hate when my team completely abandons point in Poly CP to get the gold box. I lost thousands of crystals because of these losers. Edit: I read PhantomInferno's post after this. I completely agree.
-
Vulcan attacking performance is only 75% of the old Vulcan. It means you'll have maximum of 75% of the kills you had before. And also more deaths because you can't destroy as many enemies before they can destroy you. Which means K/D is going down.
-
What were those crystal boxes? Is it the old version of gold box?
-
Map-related missions are the hardest for Pro Pass owners too. Not many battles are on Industrial Zone or Tribute and even if you can create those battles not many players will join.
