Depends on the map.

I'm laughing so hard. :DDD

But again, why they announced one of the biggest discounts of all time one week earlier?
-
I don't really care about M4 yet, but it sucks discounts don't affect kits. I understand why the developers made this change, but after one of the biggest discount of all time (March 8) it's really bad for any players who wants to buy cheaper kits.
-
Ridiculous discounts on March 8. You can buy a 500k kit for 300k. March 16: Discounts no longer applies to kits. Well done tanki, few lucky people saved hundreds of thousands crystals, while the rest can't even save 50-100k on another discount. Bravo! You should start to make some sense, because this is laughable.

Controlling the tunnel is extremely useful in a close match. On my alt I have Mammoth-Firebird. The best strategy is to jump straight into the tunnel. I have no speed so it doesn't make sense to go after enemies. Wait inside the tunnel instead, and kill everyone who is in reach/turn the point back to our color.

Good points. We should make an experiment about camping in Polygon CP. I actually don't really go outside after capping, just find a good position to shoot from and block the incoming enemy. Focus on the Freeze/Firebird type first, killing them as fast as possible, then kill anyone who's left. It's important in my strategy that I stay near the point zone (so even if an enemy reaches me, it won't start to turn the point to the other color before I die because we cancel eachother out. Of course Twins don't have that much range, so they have to move out, but for me (Vulcan) it's ideal as I can reach most of the map from the pit. I guess the same applies to Thunders. I find it especially important to take enemy fire, because it takes a lot of time to kill my Mammoth. I save time for everyone else.

If your team is full of noobs/mults, you should lose. It's a TEAM game. One of the best battles I ever fought was a drugs-off Monte Carlo CTF 6v6 (everyone had M1s). It was crazy fun. It was impossible to take a flag and return to the base. If you were lucky you were able to make the jump over the cliff, then you died. There was at least 10 flag owners before we were able to return it. The better TEAM won. It's sad that there are very few drugs-off battles in the pro section apart from the usual Poly CPs. I always have to create one and wait for others to join. RK just irritates me. It makes the drugger super OP and a one man team win possible. Another good option would be if we were able to turn only RK off. Edit: I also play normal battles and I use my drugs too. In fact it's way easier for me to win a normal battle.

Your teammates can still help you out.

You made some good points, but I still don't agree. 1, It's much more effective to slow down the enemy attack if you're inside the pit, as you can block your enemies with your tank, even after dying. I usually move outside after I took the point, and I try to hunt down the faster hulls, to make our control longer. 2, Dealing more damage (=more kills) is not that important. Controlling the point is. You can camp if the enemy is unable to get the point. In every other situation it's your duty to cap inmediately and keep the point as long as possible. Red team: 630 kills Blue team: 601 kills Red team: 1137 kills Blue team: 1073 kills The differences are insignificant (the teams had the same firepower), yet our team won by a bigger amount of points. You hit the nail in the head. If your team dominates, you can camp without any consequences. If the other team dominates, or the match is balanced, you're near useless.
-
I used to camp with my old (much stronger) Vulcan, then I realized it's much better for my team if I attack constantly. The kill number is identical in both cases, but you die less if you camp, which means your teammates will die faster.
-
I you don't go to the point, your teammates take more enemy fire, so they die faster = less point cap. It's bad for the team. I never try to kill campers (only if there is no other enemy tank in sight). I kill those who try to take away the point from us. The goal is to keep the point. I don't care if I die, respawn and go to point again. I play with Vulcan so I have some time to shoot at Firebirds/Freezes before they can attack me. And I'm ALWAYS top 1-3 position in a (usually no-drug) Poly CP game. You camp = you lose. Try the attacking strategy and you'll see how much more effective it is. I used to camp when I was at your rank so I know what I'm talking about.
-
I like my Mammoth M2 (with Vulcan). The stability and turret placement is a big + compared to Titan. The speed or armor needs to be boosted though.
-
Camping Thunders are absolutely useless in Polygon CP. Thunder can be the best if it's used correctly. -Kill everyone near the point -Catch point -Fight from the pit -Die -Start again
-
Repair kit should be removed from stantard battles. It's the best solution. No more 1 man team in CTF games as you will most likely die while carrying the flag back home without any support from teammates. Or at least make its cooldown longer. 1 RK in every 2 minutes sounds good.
-
"go to point" "attack pls" "no camp" "everyone attack" "noob campers attack" :D They never learn. There should be another "friend" option for campers, so you could always join the opposite side.
-
I played on the same map few days ago. I had 78 kills and 21 deaths. In this battle it was 57-21. So what you say isn't true. Edited. Here is the picture: It was also against better equipped enemies, all of them M2s. In the recent battle I was the highest rank.
-
They don't want to destroy the advantage, they try to reduce it. Drugs will always give you advantage, just not as big as it used to give.
-
This shows the experiment is a success. You aren't able to carry your team by yourself, you need good teamwork and coordination to win. Although I don't get how you played a 30 min normal battle. They're 15 min battles, aren't they?

Gameplay in DM: Keep in mind that this is not a big map, so heavy hulls have a slight advantage. I drugged, not as much as I was able but one of DA/DD was almost always activated when it was possible. It's a positive that you usually can't go full drug without drops, which gives light hulls more chance to survive. My performance was slightly worse compared to what I used to, but I still ruled the battlefield with my Mammoth-Vulcan combo. Almost everyone drugged and still I was able to build a decent lead during the battle. Q: Does it reduce the gap between druggers and non-druggers? A: Yes. Battles are more balanced. Q: Does it reduce the supply usage? A: Yes. Q: Should the devs implement this? A: I don't know. I have to test it in other game modes. It's good in DM, I can say that.

I feel your pain. I usually spend half of the gamplay yelling "NO CAMP!".

This became a massacre after we reached 100 points. Until that it was fairly close.
