I play Shaft pretty often, and though I enjoy using it a lot, it's completely OP. The laser is much too easy to hide, and that's the only nerf that the devs have given it in the past few years AFAIK. A damage nerf is unacceptable; It can hardly oneshot a medium hull as it is. I would be open to a 10% reload increase, but if you're looking for a skill level increase, I do think that air time is the way to go. Not a slow bullet speed like Striker (that of which needs to be increased), but nonetheless a non-instant shot.

Despite all the complaints, I'm enjoying the MMS. Maybe it takes too long to load. Maybe the teams are occasionally imbalanced. Maybe rank limits are somewhat screwed up; which is, of course, only because of trolls exploiting the group system. But the MMS is accomplishing its main goal: balanced battles. I've run a test over the past 10 battles that I've joined using the MMS, and every battle is usually quite close, a team maybe losing by 2 flags or 7 kills. I don't see what more we can ask for when Tanki has such a limited player base to match people with. It's a constant dilemma; if you want quick battles, you would need wider rank limits, and of course people will complain about that. If you want better rank limits, you'll need to wait longer. My point is that we need to just let the developers do what they physically can. Making imbalanced battles will only decrease their player base, so you can rest assured that they're working on it.

After I finish MUing my Shaft-Viking combo on @TotaI_SkiIl, what should I do? I'm at 5/10 Shaft and 9/10 Viking (Waiting for sale to finish it off). I'm considering just splurging on drugs at Tankers' Day sale.

To "carry" is to basically one-man team and win the game for your team. Synonym MVP. My alt, @TotaI_SkiIl: I typically get 200-250 more points than my team and often have 1/3 of my team's kills. 28 379 effectiveness. @C.O.N.Q.U.E.R.O.R: I usually take first or close second. 51 140 effectiveness.

Shaft's laser should be removed, while its bullets should have slightly higher bullet speed than that of Striker's. This would add a skill element to Shaft while also balancing it out with laser removal.
