How is winner determined if points started without the other team

In CP and CTF: If the other team isn't present, flags are made and CP started. At the end of 15 minutes, how is the winner determined? The flags and CP points aren't counted if the other team isn't there. Say, Blue makes 3 flags before Red team is formed. During the battle, Red makes 4 flags and Blue makes 3 more. No more flags are made. End score: Blue--6 and Red--4. But three of Blue's flags were made before Red showed. So, regardless of the score of 6 to 4, Blue's favor, isn't Red declared the winner and gets the bulk of the crystals? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Same with CP. If Blue team captures all the CP's before Red shows up, those points aren't suppose to count. However, the cp's goes back and forth throughout the battle and you know it's a close game, but Blue wins by a small margin. How is that determined if they already have the CPs before Red shows. Does Red have to play catch-up to make up for those points Blue already has and then dominate the game to win? For example: If Blue already has 25 points before Red team starts forming, does Red have to make up those 25 points to break even and then make the majority of 75 to win? OR does the count actually start after the first member of Red appears? I guess to determine who is actually winning during the battle, then you have to subtract 25 points from Blue's score and keep track that way. Right?

Look it up on UrbanDictionary.com. I used to see it quite a lot in chat rooms.
  3. I did last night on CTF. Our team acted as if they were afraid of the other team, they certainly were the aggressors. While the enemy was at our base playing TDM, I waltzed into their base, grabbed the flag and waltzed out, easily capturing the flag. Then, I turned around and did it again. That's when our team realized this was not TDM. We fought our way into their base and played TDM over there while their flag was being stolen. Final score: 6-0 our favor. Turns out, they weren't so tough after all. After we swarmed their base, they panicked and lost cohesiveness.

    Smart world

If Natural Selection had been imposed, we wouldn't have people like: Stephen Hawking Theoretical Physicist Completely paralyzed, unable to speak Motor Neuron disease similar to ALS Hellen Keller Author, Political Activist and Lecturer Deaf and Blind Jean-Dominique Bauby French Journalist, Author Lock-In Syndrome Completely paralyzed and communicated by blinking his left eyelid, the only part of his body that he could move. Despite his severe disability, he wrote two books, "The Diving Bell" and "Butterfly" by someone repeating the alphabet over and over. When that person hit upon the right letter, Jean-Dominique would blink his eyelid. Beethoven Composer and Pianist Deaf History is full of people who were born with physical and mental disabilities who had very high IQs. Many of them were high contributors to medicine, mathematics, journalism, etc. Some were tinkerers who came up with inventions we think of as being common place today. Mental illness does not equal stupid. Nor does a physical disability equal incapable.

Something I don't see in chat anymore is: pwn = own, defeat. As in "I will pwn you." (Relating to battle) pwnage = Completely defeated. "We lost the battle. It was complete and utter pwnage."

    Everything about Computers !

Okay, I have a problem that just started recently. I have Asus iBuyPower computer with keyboard and mouse that came with it. HP monitor. I've had this setup for about 8 months without a problem. For the past couple weeks, when I turn on the computer the Asus logo comes up and begins to load. Then a small window opens that tells me if DVI or VGA is active. Window has a color bar at the bottom. This window has never come up before. VGA is suppose to be active, but now it tells me DVI is active and then goes to a black screen. I have to manually restart the computer 3 times or more before VGA is active. One time, on first startup, it showed VGA active, but then went to a black screen anyway and then the window came back on showing DVI active. Here we go again with all the manual restarts. Why is this suddenly starting to happen? Why, that one time it showed VGA active did it go to a black screen anyway and then show DVI active. Why didn't the computer go ahead with the loading? I asked a couple people. One said my computer is sending mixed messages and the other said my monitor has gone bad. What is your consensus?

Why so many players don't use Overdrive?

I usually don't have many or any supplies, but am still able to use OD. At most times, I'll use it on team mates who are low on health and don't have a star. If I see Wasps without a star, I'll use it on them. When there are a couple of us with long range weapons helping out team mates or keeping control of our base, I'll share my star with the other player. But if he doesn't reciprocate or just uses it on himself without sharing, then I won't use it on him again, even if he begs. How long does OD last? Seems like it's only 10-15 seconds. Or is it another case of Tempus Fugit (time flies) .

    Individual Battle Scores

Thank you for explaining all that to me. Since that account doesn't have many supplies or none at all, then it's more of a team support unit. In CFT, the Dictator is a large tank and an easy target. I try to get walls, hills, buildings, etc between me and the enemy, but my tailpipe sticks out. So I leave the flag to the smaller, faster tanks. But I'll go with the team and kill enemy tanks following our flag bearer. In CP, I look mostly for enemy tanks that are trying to change CP. I'll go after them and change it back. I'm more active in CP and actively help the team changing the CPs. In TDM, I'll go for anything out in the open. There have been times when I'v been 1v1 with a tank and had trouble killing it. I know there are my team mates nearby and wonder why they don't help me with the kill. But after I die, then they come in for the kill. I guess that's because either they want me to get as much as possible out of the kill attempt or they're not interested because it's not a fresh kill and would be less points.

    Individual Battle Scores

I try not to do that. but if I see that my teammate is being overrun or can't make his kill (gets killed himself) then I'll take the kill. Sometimes one or two will come up against someone who has fully upgraded hull and turret and can't seem to make the kill. So, I help a little. As a rule, I'll pick a fresh kill.

    Individual Battle Scores

I guess I don't understand how the battle scores are calculated. I read it has to do with the amount of battle involvement. Or something like that. I've noticed that the more you die, the higher your score. I usually don't have any supplies with me, so I have to use skill or do a lot of "peek-a-boo." I use Shaft/Dictator. I just got out of battle....TDM.....Chernobyl. I came in late about the middle of the battle. I had 20 kills and 3 deaths. I was towards the bottom of the list. The leader had 18 kills and 10 deaths. How was his score so much better than mine? I've seen other Shaft users just sit out in the open, get one or two shotted, come back and get killed some more. I hide while my turret reloads, peek around corners or walls. When I see the enemy, I come out and make the shot, then go back in hiding until I reload. A lot of the other Shaft users don't do that. They have lower kills than me and more deaths. So how is that better? Depending on the map and the number of players, I can get 25 kills and 1 to 4 deaths. To test out my theory, last week I was using my usual technique and constantly getting low scores. So I went into a battle, got a few kills under my belt, then went out in the middle of the battle and acted like I had no sense at all. Died a lot of times. Then I went back to my technique got a few more kills and got a decent score. How is that fair? Note: It wasn't this account I was using. That account can't make a new post in the forums yet.

    What's Your Zodiac Sign?

I'm a Cancer Crab born in the Year of the Pig.
  12. If they want to know what you're favorite hull and/or turret, they can go to your profile and figure that out. Your Profile also tells others whether or not you're a Buyer, favorite game mode, what type of player you are by your K/D, what turret and hull you are currently using, tells a lot about a player. The only thing I can see useful about a Bio is if you are looking for friends with similar interests, hobbies, what country you live in (I wouldn't go to someone's Bio page to see what country they live in). Everything I need to know about you is in your Profile page. If I had a Bio page, I'd leave it blank. The less the world knows about me, the better off I'll be. Only my personal real life friends need to know who I am.
  13. Depends on which account I use. I'm not a buyer, so, on lower accounts I usually don't have any supplies with me. Overall, I play by the seat of my pants with a hope and a prayer. If I have the flag and am one shot from being dead, I'll pass the flag onto a teammate with full health and follow him in. If I survive, sometimes they'll give the flag back and sometimes not. If on a higher account or if I've bought a Supply Kit, I'll use them very conservatively in a way that will benefit the team and not just myself. I don't use them in DM (well, maybe DA once in awhile) and occasionally in TDM. I think it's a waste to drug in DM. It's a free-for-all. If one shot doesn't get you, the next one will. Using RKs only delays the inevitable. Although, I have seen players use a RK, hide until the cooldown is over so it will be ready for the next encounter.
  14. I had that same lag not long ago. I stole the enemy flag and heard a game sound notification. I looked up and it said "Zomblistic dropped enemy flag." I looked and sure enough, I didn't have it any more. I went back, ran over it a couple times and finally picked it up again. By this time, a team mate fell in behind me. It happened again. He picked it up and I followed him. He lagged and dropped it. I picked it up, lagged and dropped. We went back and forth like this all the way to our base. He was carrying the flag the last stretch. When we got back to base, he turned around and dropped the flag for me to make the point.

How do I approach my crush?

I have a simple acronym for you to remember: K.I.S.S...........Keep It Simple Stupid That kinda sums it all up. (For it to be read right, assume there is a comma after "Simple"). I'm not trying to imply you're stupid. That's just the way the acronym reads.

    Railgun shot glitch/bug

Today, I was in battle with Shaft/Dictator. Kill shots were being registered, but not all the damage shots. I refreshed the page, but that didn't seem to cure the problem. I hit a Wasp point blank (he looked like he was right inside my barrel). He didn't die nor did any damage show up. Right after that, my team mate hit him with his railgun. The Wasp didn't die. So, not only didn't my damage show up, but the fact that I hit him didn't register at all. Yes, it seems to be an intermittent problem. Most days, there aren't any problems, other days, there is. Yes, I cleared my caches and browser. Didn't seem to help. I left tanki for a couple hours, Came back and all was fine again.

What do you consider a "Good" Battle

To me, game play isn't all that important. We all have our dream battles. When we log into a battle, we have one of two choices: stay or leave. For me, it's all about skill, deceit, stealth. I'm not a buyer so I use my hard earned crystals on my tank, weapon, module (maybe) and then supplies. Usually, I don't have any supplies at all when going into battle. I die a lot because of it. A good game is if I make over 100 crystals on a winning team or 1st place on a losing team or manage to make at least one flag on a losing team (CTF mode). Then I feel I have done my part for the team. Yes, I have been in very close battles and those are exciting. But those are also dream battles and don't come very often. If I depended on a dream battle as being a good battle, then I wouldn't have very many of them.

    Loading screen

I had been playing Tanki on Firefox for several years without any problems. A few months ago, after an update, the game got so laggy it was unplayable, loading screen issues, grainy graphics, and missing parts of buildings. Did all the recommended fixes plus a few others. Nothing seemed to help. I went to Chrome, imported my bookmarks from Firefox (though I really didn't need to) and the game runs better. Lags and grainy graphics are only occasional, now, but not lasting. No more loading bar issues.

Life span of a store bought PC is usually 2-5 years, average. The cheaper the computers don't use high quality components. Typically, you get what you pay for. As your computer gets older, the less updates are available. Sure you can still update it, but some of the features, programs, etc. that allows you PC to run smoothly reaches their max in updates. What Windows version are you using? XP, 8, 8.1, Vista? Did you download Windows 10? A Geek told me that the downloaded version of Windows 10 is like playing the free version of a game. You can still play it, but not all the features or files are available. To get the full version, you have to buy the game. Same with the "free" version of Windows 10. To get all the features, you have to buy it or buy a computer with it already installed. I'm not a Geek, I pick brains for information.

    Interesting question :thonk:

I probably couldn't save anybody, not even myself. With my luck, I'd be in the middle of this chaotic crowd. However, if the Lady Luck was with me, I'd open the door next to me, run out and hope I don't get trampled. Since I don't know anyone personally, I'd try to help the person next to me. But then, I'm handicapped, so I'm back to "I probably couldn't save anybody, not even myself."

  24. Seems as though anything having to do with the store gets absolutely top priority. Have you ever noticed that the game will lag terribly but the store is instantaneous? Anything having to do the store gets top of the list while the game itself goes further down the list. Most of the updates, we are told, is for the betterment of the game and players. In the long run, we find it will cost more money to enjoy these features. This gets top priority. Anti-cheat does not equal cash flow. Bottom line.
