1) I believe lightshot is banned in certain countries so it's better to use imgur as mentioned in the main post. 2) If you just use it in order to take the picture, yes.

Classic XP/BP battle in Red Alert;

If I am not mistaken, it is mainly because MM is the main format of the game so if you want to earn EXP, you have to do it there. And no, it won't change.

Unfortunately it is not a bug. You can no longer earn EXP in format battles.
